I am now pregnant again at 9wks and found out I have 2 ovarian cysts one being 3.3 cm and the other 4.7cm, so still relatively small but after the surgery the first time I was told increased hormones due to pregnancy can cause them to grow quicker. Living in a different province for this pregnancy I am curious to see how the dr's with handle it here. With my son I had several u/s to monitor for growth, ect.
I too have a cyst, not sure how big it is, but my doctor really isn't worried right now. He said if it starts causing problems, severe pain, bleeding, etc then he will look more into it. Lots of women have them their whole pregnancy and they are fine. I hope that you and I are the lucky ones that it doesn't cause problems!!

I have had my tubes tied for about a year and a half and started on birth control about 4 months later due to heavy periods. I then started with heavy cramping and a lot of spotting so in Oct I had and d&c and they removed some scar tissue and small cysts. I was told to continue the bc and the bleeding should be better. I have started with the heavy cramping and spotting again. I bleed light to moderate most mornings and cramp during. I bleed after sex and cramp hard.

The risk of malignancy is generally higher among postmenopausal women.
Even a faint 1st line means a positive test result. Ovarian cysts can be triggered by a spike in hormones, usually during ovulation. However, not to scare you, ecoptic pregnancy pains closly resemble ovarian cyst pain in the beginning.

Due to an irregular cycle my doctor sent me along for a dating scan yesterday. During the scan they found two cysts on my right ovary measuring around 5cm... she didnt seem too worried but my doctor has since called to ask me to come and see her regarding the scans..
