outpatient rehab services

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

I have been in outpatient rehab for 2 weeks now since being pulled over for a DUI. I am going voluntarily right now and have been sober since the 6th of July when it happened. I went to the bar with friends last night and only drank soda. My parents flipped out. I am 30 years old and understand the huge mistake that I have made. This is not something I'm going to do all the time, but since everything happened I'm working 2 jobs and putting in 10 hours of rehab. . .

Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.

Hi-- My dad, who turns 85 next month, had heart surgery (aortic valve replacement, bypass, and aneurysm repair) 2 years ago. I can't recall the exact statistics the doctors gave, but I know the chances for successfully surviving the surgery without debilitation (like pneumonia, surgical site infection, stroke, etc.) were about at least 80%, and that was taking into consideration his other medical conditions like diabetes which wasn't that well controlled.

I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.

i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried outpatient rehab? my friend i have been talking about, that has been battling herion addiction for awhile, decided he would talk to someone about outpatient rehab. i told them that he really need a inpatient, counsleing type rehab but they can't afford it. has anyone had luck with this kind of rehab, being addicted for awhile? thanks everyone....

Yes, I've watched this movie, but not in rehab or detox. It actually won awards for Best Foreign film, but I agree, not a suitable movie to be shown to such an audience. I, personally, thought it was very well done and got it's message across, unfortunately it's also a true story and the problems continue to this day. I'm so glad that you are getting help. I read some of your other posts and I'm just so happy that you are doing what you're doing, now.

Ur being really strong and for not going to ur dads for a couple is great.I dont do NA myself either.I cant afford expensive therapy etc but I found a place that goes on a sliding scale(Im a stay at home mom so we have1income).I c an addiction specialist&a therapist every week.Its actually a mental health facility&a very well knlwn rehab center(didnt go to rehab there but Im lucky to get to use some the the services and can afford it).Check around for something like that in ur area.

Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Hope this helps?

In my area we have an outpatient rehab center that garauntees success from drug addiction. What ********! These kids are sent to our local N/A mtgs after 3/4 weeks of outpatient therapy and suboxone treatment. After 1 week, no lie, we NEVER see them again. One of these kids was my middle sons friend that i've known for quite awhile...he told me when finished with the program, they take you off the subs and thats where the majority of people go back to their doc.

He now does outpatient rehab and we also work with him at home. He is slowly improving but I was wondering if any others out there might have some ideas from their experiences to help my son relearn talking, walking, ect. any faster than it's going. I know it takes time but I think if he could get to the point of walking things would move along much faster for him.

We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

Just so wondering if anyone here has gone to rehab as a intensive out patient? I am headed there right now fir the first time and I'm pretty nervous. I'm 5 days clean of pain meds. I'm going to stay clean and better my future.

Still using the Ativan since it does curb the emotions and helps me to rest easy, probably going to try today without but we shall see. Outpatient Rehab at 10AM EST so I will report back after that to let you all know how it went. I am not experiencing so much of the emotional rollercoasters that I had been, they are less frequent and I seem to be functioning more around the house.

So Far I have only visited the Rehab once and they did a complete evaluation on me. Asked me every question in the book! Tomorrow I have an appointment where I will have some therapy and learn how to cope with the mental part of the addiction. My prayer is that I can be a support to others going thru this as well.

Can a crack addict kick his/her habit by attending outpatient rehab sessions? Do all addicts have to go to an inpatient setting in order to stop using?

I know I'm going to have to go into rehab to come off the Xanax but I'm just curious about what they do to you, give you and how it feels? Is it like a hospital setting or more laid back and relaxed? How long would you have to stay in order to come off a medication like Xanax?

Tom is unsure if drug rehab is appropriate because it's less obvious that the drugs are the real issue especially since he doesn't do them ALL the time (except for weed). In your county of residence are outpatient substance abuse clinics that receive state funding to provide services at a reasonable fee or none if you're income eligible .What have you got to lose by just making an appointment and honestly talking to someone @ your issues?

I just got into Renab a couple hours ago. Things are ok. Very interesting though. I'll be glad to get this over with and start outpatient therapy. I see the sub doctor in an hour and a half.

So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?

t believe I ever thought I could. That day I went and checked myself into the outpatient rehab clinic I still go to now. I remember sitting there with the nurse shaking like a crazy person from DTs. And he said you can't have your suboxone until tomorrow. I told him I didn't need it, and he asked me why. I told him that I made the mistake of using, so I should have to live through the pain. He looked at me like I was nuts.

If he truly wants help within the county of which u reside are outpatient substance abuse facilities that receive funding to make care affordable.They use a sliding fee scale or in some cases if person totally indigent there is not a fee.Again he has to want help.And for u r u in counseling?Ever been to Al-Anon?It is important for u to take care of ur needs and concerns!

and drs that schedule appoint and report it to the ins as outpatient services.....what? I was in an office...so now the ins doesn't cover as much...and I owe how much???.....ne one else notice this trend...drs billing as outpatient services????

My son got out of rehab on a 18 day program on thursday ...On friday he went to outpatient rehab & went & got lunch ..Per his request he had me drug test him & he was positive for opiates ..He was in shock & swears he never used ....He never went any where & there were no drugs in his room..... How is this possible ? Is it possibe that using alot of oxies for a many years make a difference? ..or is he just out right Lying & he did use .......... Any ideas ..

He is doing about 80 mg a day and I am not sure what he will need in the way of detox and rehab. He wants to do it outpatient. I am not sure where to begin to find resources.
