outpatient rehab in michigan

I have been in outpatient rehab for 2 weeks now since being pulled over for a DUI. I am going voluntarily right now and have been sober since the 6th of July when it happened. I went to the bar with friends last night and only drank soda. My parents flipped out. I am 30 years old and understand the huge mistake that I have made. This is not something I'm going to do all the time, but since everything happened I'm working 2 jobs and putting in 10 hours of rehab. . .

Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

In my area we have an outpatient rehab center that garauntees success from drug addiction. What ********! These kids are sent to our local N/A mtgs after 3/4 weeks of outpatient therapy and suboxone treatment. After 1 week, no lie, we NEVER see them again. One of these kids was my middle sons friend that i've known for quite awhile...he told me when finished with the program, they take you off the subs and thats where the majority of people go back to their doc.

I just got into Renab a couple hours ago. Things are ok. Very interesting though. I'll be glad to get this over with and start outpatient therapy. I see the sub doctor in an hour and a half.

I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.

i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried outpatient rehab? my friend i have been talking about, that has been battling herion addiction for awhile, decided he would talk to someone about outpatient rehab. i told them that he really need a inpatient, counsleing type rehab but they can't afford it. has anyone had luck with this kind of rehab, being addicted for awhile? thanks everyone....

Yes, I've watched this movie, but not in rehab or detox. It actually won awards for Best Foreign film, but I agree, not a suitable movie to be shown to such an audience. I, personally, thought it was very well done and got it's message across, unfortunately it's also a true story and the problems continue to this day. I'm so glad that you are getting help. I read some of your other posts and I'm just so happy that you are doing what you're doing, now.

I must have been in a decent rehab, because when I was in 20 years ago (for alcohol and drugs) I liked it so much that I didn't want to leave....truth. When I walked through the doors I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders. They will keep you comfortable while you detox then they will get you up and your days will be quite full.....group therapy, individual therapy, classes, journaling and meetings (AA and/or NA). You'll also have some free time.

What part of the country are you in? We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

Just so wondering if anyone here has gone to rehab as a intensive out patient? I am headed there right now fir the first time and I'm pretty nervous. I'm 5 days clean of pain meds. I'm going to stay clean and better my future.

My son is in rehab & doing good ...He will be in for 14 days then have to go to outpatient rehab all day for 6 weeks.. What can I expect ? Hes 25 ..I can't lock him in his room to protect him ......He has a career job waiting for him when he gets out ..But the rehab is more important ,,,Any advice ?

well i will be heading to rehab tuesday in memphis its a place called La Paloma its a really good place i am excited and scared i will miss my husband and my doggies they will be so lost without mama and my son i asked him if he would drive me there he said yes he's just so awesome its 17hr drive i want to fly so bad but I'm scared ******** i should just do it already this is my one and only chance and relapse is not an option i asked if i should take my pills on the day i go there and

So Far I have only visited the Rehab once and they did a complete evaluation on me. Asked me every question in the book! Tomorrow I have an appointment where I will have some therapy and learn how to cope with the mental part of the addiction. My prayer is that I can be a support to others going thru this as well.

Still using the Ativan since it does curb the emotions and helps me to rest easy, probably going to try today without but we shall see. Outpatient Rehab at 10AM EST so I will report back after that to let you all know how it went. I am not experiencing so much of the emotional rollercoasters that I had been, they are less frequent and I seem to be functioning more around the house.

Can a crack addict kick his/her habit by attending outpatient rehab sessions? Do all addicts have to go to an inpatient setting in order to stop using?

It really depends. There are inpatient centers, as in you live there, and outpatient centers, where you don't live at the facility. Different options work for different people. I have been in a outpatient place and it works well for me. I am sure every place is different though, and it is ultimately up to you and what you want. There isn't an exact time to 'come off' of any drug, or any chemical that alters you in some way.

I live in Upper Michigan, my son has Bipolar II, Paranoid Schizophrenic Disorder, and Personality Disorder. He has been in and out of hospitals for the last 5 yrs. This time he is in State operated institute hospital. I talked to a case worker about a service dog for him, she said it sounded good. I don"t know what to do. I just want him home and happy. Does anyone know any foundations or anything? He has 2 more months left in the institute. All I do is cry. Thank you, good luck to all.

t playing around with, I might add, some pretty odd drugs to play around with in some cases, he would need help. Drug rehab is for people who are addicted to them -- if he's not, they probably won't take him. Mental health facilities also don't take many people these days unless they're a current danger to themselves or others, and even then they don't keep them long -- not enough beds.

My son who went to rehab & is now in outpatient rehab is clean ...I found a small container of clean pee in his drawer( NOT GOOD) ...I told the out patient rehab & they told me its normal to do this when you are a addict ..Its call just in case ....... As of today he is clean , they drug tested him today & i will daily also.....But please help me to understand this .... He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. He still served time but he Really played it up saying he hears voices and has extreme paranoia. (only when he is high mind you.

My son is in great need of some help with his drinking and his sex addiction. I am very worried about him and have been for several years and it's only getting worse. What can I do? How can he pay for help with no insurance and not even a job.His life is totally out of control , he can't keep a job, an apartment, or girlfriend. He doesn't see his kids or pay support.He hasn't had a driver's license for years. He also has an anger and fighting problem and does some drugs too.

He is doing about 80 mg a day and I am not sure what he will need in the way of detox and rehab. He wants to do it outpatient. I am not sure where to begin to find resources.

Outpatient can be very helpful to many. Its definitely worth a try. I went that route before and picked up some great tools. I did relapse after but I was still young and not ready for recovery. Like I said...I learned a lot and had I been ready to stay clean....who knows. In terms of the statistics of meth relapse...dont get too caught up in the numbers. As long as you do what you need to do to take care of you and seek some sort of treatment...

I have been doing some home rehab, i am unable to afford to go to outpatient rehab. Thank you though i am going to cal the Dr tomorrow.
