outpatient rehab in ct

I have been in outpatient rehab for 2 weeks now since being pulled over for a DUI. I am going voluntarily right now and have been sober since the 6th of July when it happened. I went to the bar with friends last night and only drank soda. My parents flipped out. I am 30 years old and understand the huge mistake that I have made. This is not something I'm going to do all the time, but since everything happened I'm working 2 jobs and putting in 10 hours of rehab. . .

Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

In my area we have an outpatient rehab center that garauntees success from drug addiction. What ********! These kids are sent to our local N/A mtgs after 3/4 weeks of outpatient therapy and suboxone treatment. After 1 week, no lie, we NEVER see them again. One of these kids was my middle sons friend that i've known for quite awhile...he told me when finished with the program, they take you off the subs and thats where the majority of people go back to their doc.

My 46 year old son was diagnosed with cirrhosis in September. He went through outpatient rehab and seemed fine until a week ago. His belly is distended and he is slurring and forgetting things. He swears he is not drinking. Could his liver be failing?

I just got into Renab a couple hours ago. Things are ok. Very interesting though. I'll be glad to get this over with and start outpatient therapy. I see the sub doctor in an hour and a half.

I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.

i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried outpatient rehab? my friend i have been talking about, that has been battling herion addiction for awhile, decided he would talk to someone about outpatient rehab. i told them that he really need a inpatient, counsleing type rehab but they can't afford it. has anyone had luck with this kind of rehab, being addicted for awhile? thanks everyone....

Yes, I've watched this movie, but not in rehab or detox. It actually won awards for Best Foreign film, but I agree, not a suitable movie to be shown to such an audience. I, personally, thought it was very well done and got it's message across, unfortunately it's also a true story and the problems continue to this day. I'm so glad that you are getting help. I read some of your other posts and I'm just so happy that you are doing what you're doing, now.

I must have been in a decent rehab, because when I was in 20 years ago (for alcohol and drugs) I liked it so much that I didn't want to leave....truth. When I walked through the doors I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders. They will keep you comfortable while you detox then they will get you up and your days will be quite full.....group therapy, individual therapy, classes, journaling and meetings (AA and/or NA). You'll also have some free time.

Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.

I wish you could do an outpatient program in the evening. I wish your husband supported you better thru this. Are you still staying off the pills? Can you go to therapy every week instead of once a month? Have you tried Smart Recivery on line. Many here have gotten tons of help.

Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.

What part of the country are you in? We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

Just so wondering if anyone here has gone to rehab as a intensive out patient? I am headed there right now fir the first time and I'm pretty nervous. I'm 5 days clean of pain meds. I'm going to stay clean and better my future.

My son is in rehab & doing good ...He will be in for 14 days then have to go to outpatient rehab all day for 6 weeks.. What can I expect ? So Far I have only visited the Rehab once and they did a complete evaluation on me. Asked me every question in the book! Tomorrow I have an appointment where I will have some therapy and learn how to cope with the mental part of the addiction. My prayer is that I can be a support to others going thru this as well.

Still using the Ativan since it does curb the emotions and helps me to rest easy, probably going to try today without but we shall see. Outpatient Rehab at 10AM EST so I will report back after that to let you all know how it went. I am not experiencing so much of the emotional rollercoasters that I had been, they are less frequent and I seem to be functioning more around the house.

It really depends. There are inpatient centers, as in you live there, and outpatient centers, where you don't live at the facility. Different options work for different people. I have been in a outpatient place and it works well for me. I am sure every place is different though, and it is ultimately up to you and what you want. There isn't an exact time to 'come off' of any drug, or any chemical that alters you in some way.

Drug rehab is for people who are addicted to them -- if he's not, they probably won't take him. Mental health facilities also don't take many people these days unless they're a current danger to themselves or others, and even then they don't keep them long -- not enough beds.

My son who went to rehab & is now in outpatient rehab is clean ...I found a small container of clean pee in his drawer( NOT GOOD) ...I told the out patient rehab & they told me its normal to do this when you are a addict ..Its call just in case ....... He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. He still served time but he Really played it up saying he hears voices and has extreme paranoia. (only when he is high mind you.

My son is in great need of some help with his drinking and his sex addiction. I am very worried about him and have been for several years and it's only getting worse. What can I do? How can he pay for help with no insurance and not even a job.His life is totally out of control , he can't keep a job, an apartment, or girlfriend. He is doing about 80 mg a day and I am not sure what he will need in the way of detox and rehab. He wants to do it outpatient. I am not sure where to begin to find resources.

I personally went into rehab back in 1999 for a 80mg a day addiction. Although I did not make it through the rehab program, I did eventually cold turkey for 5 days. This was not that bad. I felt like Worried878 said, kinda flu like and I was very weak. For me when tapering or w/d it is the weakness that gets me the worst. I have on occasion had restless legs(at much higher doses) but not too severe. Plan on having some moderate anxiety, the runs, nausea and perhaps some vomiting.
