outpatient drug rehab utah

I have been in outpatient rehab for 2 weeks now since being pulled over for a DUI. I am going voluntarily right now and have been sober since the 6th of July when it happened. I went to the bar with friends last night and only drank soda. My parents flipped out. I am 30 years old and understand the huge mistake that I have made. This is not something I'm going to do all the time, but since everything happened I'm working 2 jobs and putting in 10 hours of rehab. . .

Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.

Can a crack addict kick his/her habit by attending outpatient rehab sessions? Do all addicts have to go to an inpatient setting in order to stop using?

In my area we have an outpatient rehab center that garauntees success from drug addiction. What ********! These kids are sent to our local N/A mtgs after 3/4 weeks of outpatient therapy and suboxone treatment. After 1 week, no lie, we NEVER see them again. One of these kids was my middle sons friend that i've known for quite awhile...he told me when finished with the program, they take you off the subs and thats where the majority of people go back to their doc.

Tom is unsure if drug rehab is appropriate because it's less obvious that the drugs are the real issue especially since he doesn't do them ALL the time (except for weed). So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?

First time I drank I was in eighth grade. I passed out and had alcohol poisining didn't drink again for three years. I am now 29 and have been drinking on and off for about five years. At 24 I started drinking everyday. I was drinkin everyday and hidding it. I got married at 26 and got pregnant on our honeymoon. I had stop drinking about a week and a half before I found out I was pregnant because it was making me sick.

I know I'm going to have to go into rehab to come off the Xanax but I'm just curious about what they do to you, give you and how it feels? Is it like a hospital setting or more laid back and relaxed? How long would you have to stay in order to come off a medication like Xanax?

Won't post my entire horror story here....got a drug charge and the court ordered me to undergo this IOP mental health treatment. Does anyone here have any experience with IOPMHT? What does that entail? Wanted to ask a psych doc but couldn't find a forum for it on this site....if there is one I hope someone will direct me to it.

I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.

i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried outpatient rehab? my friend i have been talking about, that has been battling herion addiction for awhile, decided he would talk to someone about outpatient rehab. i told them that he really need a inpatient, counsleing type rehab but they can't afford it. has anyone had luck with this kind of rehab, being addicted for awhile? thanks everyone....

You can never get too much support. Outpatient, counseling, church, NA. I have not tried outpatient but many have and have found great success, Sarah's response was so insightful. You have already proven you are ready to fight for your sobriety. Keep pushing forward. You are definitely a fighter!

I went to my 1st day of outpatient rehab today and totally passed my 1st drug test!!! I cried like a baby! I couldn't believe I actually made it to 2 hole weeks without my beloved pills! I want to thank all of you for helping get this far. I know I have a long way to go but I have a new found confidence and determination that I've never had! I feel like a GLADIATOR!!

If he truly wants help within the county of which u reside are outpatient substance abuse facilities that receive funding to make care affordable.They use a sliding fee scale or in some cases if person totally indigent there is not a fee.Again he has to want help.And for u r u in counseling?Ever been to Al-Anon?It is important for u to take care of ur needs and concerns!

Yes, I've watched this movie, but not in rehab or detox. It actually won awards for Best Foreign film, but I agree, not a suitable movie to be shown to such an audience. I, personally, thought it was very well done and got it's message across, unfortunately it's also a true story and the problems continue to this day. I'm so glad that you are getting help. I read some of your other posts and I'm just so happy that you are doing what you're doing, now.

Hi everyone. I was thinking of going thru drug rehab(outpatient) and possibly taking suboxone. I had a heart attack in February of 2014. I'm doing great now with 2 stents placed in my coronary arteries. 51 yrs. old. Just wondering if my heart condition would cause a doctor to not want to prescribe suboxone to me. Thanks.

m scheduled to start an outpatient treatment for 5 weeks but not really sure its the best avenue . I have a history of addiction issues including alcohol and was in an out treatment for that about 20+ years ago so I know what its all about. The more I type, the more I realize that I need help to stop this behavior and would like some insight on what people think about outpatient treatment in general. Are addictionologists helpful?

Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Hope this helps?

I have a strong aftercare program set up with an addictions specialist doctor at a Toronto hospital, as well as an outpatient program at another hospital. This is the only time I have been opiate and alcohol free in 3 years. The doctor prescribed suboxone, 3 tabs a day. There is no euphoria or a feeling of being high. I just feel some joy returning. I started to draw and sketch in treatment, which I have never done. Little things give me pleasure again....

i did extreme outpatient for a while. it wuz 7 nites a week, from 5-10 pm. i learned alot about different drug addictions, and wuz amazed that eva one in the room wuz pretty much in the same boat. it wuz a great experience, and i met my best friend in the world there. to this day, if i actually make the call when im craving, he can talk me outta it. now i jus gotta start makin that call....... oh well, ima keep fightin!! great to hear ya had a good experience, are you goin back?

My son who went to rehab & is now in outpatient rehab is clean ...I found a small container of clean pee in his drawer( NOT GOOD) ...I told the out patient rehab & they told me its normal to do this when you are a addict ..Its call just in case ....... As of today he is clean , they drug tested him today & i will daily also.....But please help me to understand this .... Any advice would be appreciated ....Trish We are making him go to out patient rehab daily .......

We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

Just so wondering if anyone here has gone to rehab as a intensive out patient? I am headed there right now fir the first time and I'm pretty nervous. I'm 5 days clean of pain meds. I'm going to stay clean and better my future.

Still using the Ativan since it does curb the emotions and helps me to rest easy, probably going to try today without but we shall see. Outpatient Rehab at 10AM EST so I will report back after that to let you all know how it went. I am not experiencing so much of the emotional rollercoasters that I had been, they are less frequent and I seem to be functioning more around the house.
