my latest back x ray for some reason the dr's still want me taqking the pain killers saying that I must still be in alot of pain

x-ray shows 7mm nodular versus nipple shadow versus superimpostion of shadows at the left lung base. Is this anything 2 be concerned about?

d love to have the question answered that it is likely gas in the X-part of colon or X part of my system and that this is common or less common, etc.?

Could the AVN be progressed to a point that bad enough to hurt that bad yet not be seen on x-ray? He mentioned that it may look like I have a labral tear on my x-ray...what is that and is it something to be treated because he mentioned it like it was nothing. I'm so frustrated. No methods of therapy or NSAIDS seems to help. No diagnosis. i just did this x ray. It looks like narrowing of the patellafemoral space. Is this correct? Thank you for any advice.

I am 26 and have had joint degeneration in the facets of my cervical spine that has been visible on x-ray since I was 19. I just recently found out about this when I got another x-ray done, and the findings stated it was compared to an x-ray from 2002 which showed degeneration. Why didnt any one tell me? My doctors just said my x-rays were normal, but how can this be normal for someone that was 19 at the time?

As she has said nothing to me I presume these are all negative. Apart from my thumb which is grade 2 osteoarthritis. (x ray 6 months ago-no obvious sign of arthritis) the aching elsewhere went away. However I have noticed that my other thumb is beginning to ache slightly. I put this down to using this instead of the injured hand. Foolishly and naively i accepted to have another Panoramic X-ray for my teeth( i think that he asked me to do another X-ray because he lost or didn't save the original image on his computer). So now that you read my worry, am i going crazy here to worry about it and am i exaggerating?? Are there any side-effects? Please i want an answer cause am a person who is stressed all the time.

Was the panoramic machine a digital x-ray or a traditional film x-ray? I'm going to assume it was digital since he just recently installed it. The older film x-rays tend to require more radiation than the newer digital x-ray systems. I will have to look up the exact radiation dosage for the panoramic x-ray but I believe its equivalent to taking 4 of the smaller regular x-rays. A regular digital x-ray is equivalent to about 5-10 mins in the sunlight.

The only way to diagnose osteoarthritis or autoimmune arthritis is with x-rays and blood bests. Your thirties is not to young to develop osteoarthritis (the wear and tear type) if you are athletic, or conversely, if you DON'T exercise, if you're overweight, or if you have a congenital deformity in your knees that is only now making itself known with pain. I'd say go in for an x-ray, at the very least.

Once my ring finger knuckle hurt for a year. The doc said the X-Ray showed no knuckle between the finger bones. Is this a case of disappearing joints? The answer is "yes", with qualifications. Every x-ray causes tissue damage and danger. That being said the x-ray represented a quantum leap in medicine. Before the x-ray thousand of people died because a physician could not look inside and make a diagnosis. Having an x-ray taken represents a risk-benefit situation. Most times taking the x-ray to diagnose a potentially life-threatening problem outweighs the additional risk of a malignancy.

s Fracture,which demonstrates reduction in joint space between C1 and C2 articular process, displacement of Lateral masses of C1 fracture of atlas which needs to be evaluated on lateral X-ray of cervical spine and also with CT with coronal reconstruction in multi planar or multi axial view would confirm the extent of the fracture. Neurological deficit must be assessed and see what is extension of injury. Have a CT scan done and reevaluate to correlate clinically.
