8317359 tn?1397621339 After a week of so of recovery, it can reduce my facet syndrome related pain by half. Alas, the nerves grow back, and the procedure has to be repeated every year or so. RF ablation works better than any other modality I've tried in over 30 years of neck and back pain.

Avatar m tn I have pain in the right knee for two years now. X-rays show lack of fluid in the knee. Thus giving lot of pain. I have tried all sorts of therapies, but to no effect. I am now thinking of either get a shot or replace the knees. The left knee is also on the brink. I have to use pain killers. Please advise about taking a shot if I should take a shot of Synvisc-One. This discussion is related to Changing from Supartz to Synvisc-One shots.
Avatar m tn Can back ddd cause neck grinding with pain. Also knee grinding with pain? Plus right elbow grinding with pain. Also feet problems.
Avatar m tn For example, had you have known that the heavy wallet you kept for the past 30 years in your right rear pocket couple with driving an automobile with the seat all the way back, plus adding in an extra 20 pounds around the waste is the real problem not the pain in your back. The wallet causing you to sit off center and the driving with your legs straight out forces you to pull on your lower back instead of pulling the seat closer using more of your knees than back might show you some relief.
Avatar f tn I have osteoarthritis in my back and hips. The physiotherapist has given me exercises to help with the pain. Best thing is to keep active, if you can. Hopefully the ortho will help, and a rheumatologist, like I have seen, will help you cope with the arthritis.
Avatar n tn I am 19 years old. I have a lot of crepitus at shoulder and cracking (also along right arms) continue to bother me now almost 6 months. The doctor said ' this is the chronic shoulder pain'. I'm confused. I don't feel such pain. Except if i carry heavy load, i felt pain at upper chest. But i do feel very tired, i mean a real tired, include back pain/tired most of the time. Numbness on-off. Is that considered pain? The doctor set me on MRI. still havent done yet.
Avatar f tn It has worked well for controlling my pain (not perfect but pretty good). I also get some lower back pain (combination of osteoarthritis and nerve stuff) that only happens when I over-do (like trying to garden, etc.). I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that.
Avatar m tn 54yr old female, have had this chronic lower back pain that radiates to hip area.I do have arthritis in lower back and hip,but the meds for it does nothing.I stretch every night before bed and every morning before getting out to no avail.I look like I'm 90 yrs old after a pain full ten minutes of trying to get out of bed.I have to inhale to stand up straight(omg the pain) but once I pee and get into kitchen for coffee I'm fine. The only doctor I haven't seen is a nerve doctor.

513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar f tn Hi there! I was diagnosed about 6 months ago with osteoarthritis in my L4/5 and was told it was a moderate case by my GP. I've had back pain going back 10yrs, but they just figured it out recently. My problem is that my doctor is refusing to do pain control even with my CT and Xrays showing up postive. I've told her I'm looking for pain relief and not to get high.
Avatar f tn I have had some back pain in the past and recently had some lower back pains. Now my back keeps popping (never had this before), it doesn't really hurt when it pops but very uncomfortable. Sometimes I'm feeling a pain between my stomach and abdomen area.
Avatar f tn m not sure Cymbalta or Lyrica would help with osteoarthritis pain - it seems to work more on nerve type pain, however, it would be worth asking your doctor about. Have you ever asked your doctor about an anti-inflammatory such as Celebrex? You may find that type of medication would work better for the arthritis and it is non-narcotic. I, too, have severe arthritis, so I can relate to the pain you're experiencing. I hope you and your doctor can find something soon that helps.
Avatar n tn Well now my back is a problem- moves around but generally the spine, the whole thorasic area. no pain dwn legs, just the mid spine. Exercise does not seem to help. Aleve a lttle. Is there any help for this?

Avatar n tn Hi, I'm new to this site. Its been just a few days however its been a life saver. Your words are hard but true. I too have fibro and maybe RA or something.I'm taking your advice as well as others to take my life back despite my daily struggle with pain. I'm currently taking meds . Again Thanks!!!
Avatar m tn The regular arthritis pain increases gradually when the patient is walking and prevents walking altogether after about 15 yards. The grabbing pain is additional to the regular pain. The only relief for the pain is sitting. Lying down, getting up, standing, walking, twisting, reaching, any movement may cause the grabbing pain unexpectedly. It seems to radiate from the spine across the top of the hip and down the right leg.
