Avatar n tn (( I have inflammation and searced google for ANTI INFLAMMATORY DIET and FOODS. Saw that there are a lot of foods that are considered proflammatory. It changed my way of eating. After reading all the foods that are proflammatory that I always thought were good for you, I wished I knew about it so many years ago. You know the saying: "You are what you eat?" Let me know what you find. I could use more choices of foods to eat.
1191770 tn?1267710445 I didn't hear anything about tomatoes and oranges as no-no foods but then again I have been on strong pain and inflammation meds for over ten years and take equally strong stomach meds to prevent problems due to the irritating nature of these type of medications. I find that as long as I stick to a fairly balanced mix of food types that I don't have problems with my stomach.
483733 tn?1326798446 I found out I'm allergic and react to tomatoes, green peppers and eggplant. I get bad stomachaches and other GI issues. I'm wondering now if that could be linked to the bad headaches I get sometimes too?
Avatar f tn Ok so I am pregnant with #2 and so far I have craved tomatoes with both babies first is a boy praying second is a girl please tell me someone has craved tomatoes and had a girl....
Avatar f tn Does anyone have a reaction on their palms to tomatoes? Sensitivity or allergy?
Avatar f tn Can the swollen feet and ankles be the result of eating tomatoes?? Again the swelling only happens when I consume any product that has tomatoes, tomatoes paste etc...in it.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately I am not much help to you here, but will say my sister had the Synvisc-One injection and it worked pretty well for her so far. While you're only 56, you have to do what is best for you, I posted a site below, along the similar decision making lines (only related to hips, but think it applies equally as well). I don't know much about knee implants, but implant technology in general, is moving in leaps and bounds. Do some major research.
Avatar f tn , published his exceptionally careful and comprehensive research about niacinamide and osteoarthritis titled The Common Form of Joint Dysfunction: Its Incidence and Treatment. Dr.Kaufman’s research came out around the same time that patented cortisone formulas were being heavily promoted, so niacinamide treatment was hardly noticed. I read 1,000 milligrams of niacinamide three times a day (it doesn’t work as well if you only take it once or twice daily).
Avatar f tn I've had mri's of my spine and shows osteoarthritis with bone spurs in cervical thoracic and lumbar. This was done in 2007 (i was 35), now i have this horrible tendonitis in both wrists and i'm on prednisone. Could this be related to the arthritis? i'm seeing an ortho but he doesn't know about the osteoarthritis (i was just rereading my reports and it jumped out at me). What should i expect with this diagnosis?
Avatar f tn I have Osteoarthritis and it is getting worse. I taken Celebrex, Norco, Tramadol and Vicopren. None of these are working. I don't have insurance and go to a public health clinic. They don't seem to know what to do. Could you please advise me on what I can take that will help with the chronic pain and will be inexpensive.
529224 tn?1400648219 The other knee was about to be replaced in 2012 and an emergency came in and my OP was postponed.I took up hill walking, despite it hurt, aquafit twice a week and swimming lengths (not breaststroke!) - which my consultant had suggested before first knee OP, and my knee (despite being in a worse arthritic state than the first knee before OP!) improved - I don't have pain, or instability anymore!
513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar n tn t tried it myself yet, only because I HATE taking pills, but have heard a few success stories about Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Another thing you can do is start physical therapy. Strengthening the muscles and tendons around the joints helps to slow the degenerative changes.
Avatar m tn I have osteoarthritis in my neck moderate and mild in lower back. Can and adjusment help? will they even do an adjustment me? i seem to be losing sensativity in my legs but dont know if iy du to oa in back nad neck.any help would be great. thank you.
Avatar m tn t expecting that especially @ 32 with a 4 yr old and 7 month old!! Anyways, he adviced pain meds and synvisc-one injections until we couldn't control the pain enough. I tried the injections. I won't lie the are a bit painful. My right one was just uncomfortable. The left one hurt way worse. I have no idea why but it even swelled up and I had to stay off it about 24 hours b/c of all the fluid on it.
Avatar n tn I am afraid that I have developed osteoarthritis in my hands, esp. in the thumb joint. I experience pain up to 5 on 1/10 scale, but not swelling. After I ride my bike my hands hurt for several days, maybe the handlebar is too big around. The symptoms developed shortly after I broke my wrist (Collies fracture) two years ago. I realize that if I have this problem it isn't going away. How do I keep the damage to a miminim? I use Ibuprofen for pain with fair results.
Avatar m tn i was also wondering about the osteoarthritis as my dr told me that i have severe degenerative osteoarthritis of the lower spine (I forgot the numbers), hips, left shoulder and both feet. I had major surgery last summer and mesh was used to attach part of my bowel to my spine. My dr figures that this may have jump-started the arthritis issues. Currently i have probs walking, bending and overall it hurts to be on my feet for more than 20 mins at a time.
Avatar f tn Does osteoarthritis generally cause an elevated Sed Rate and and elevated C-Reactive Protein? Anyone have these tests elevated with your condition? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hi,thanks in advance for any responses...much appreciated and my drs. do not know. I've been menopausal since Nov.2011(my last period) and I've been diag.hypothyr.about 3-5 yrs. I'm currently on estrogen patch+progesterone+150 mcg synthroid. Wondering if anyone has had experience with hip (actually where the leg and hip meet)pain that disturbs their sleep? Also on another note wondering the best labs to target any such problems, whether hormone or thyroid related.
Avatar m tn The osteoarthritis may progress slowly over time. Strengthening the muscles that support the neck and cervical spine may lesson symptoms of pain and discomfort. ~•~ Dr. Parks This answer is not intended as and does not substitute for medical advice. 483733 tn?1326798446 When roasted, place sausages on a cutting board and tomatoes and onions in a food processor. You may have to do this in 2 batches. Squeeze in garlic and discard skins. Pour a little broth onto baking sheets. Using a wooden spoon, scrape up and stir in any brown bits from baking sheet. Add to food processor. Whirl until fairly smooth. Pour into a saucepan along with remaining broth. Bring just to a boil.
272434 tn?1228607209 I also have carpal tunnel and I have osteoarthritis. Both very painful, and I also need surgery, and I told them not right now. I take a long time to heal, and that alone is enough for me not to have surgery. I also use splints at night, and I have had to cut back on my quilting, but I refuse to stop all together. The osteoarthritis I have in all of my joints as well as RA, I have a triple whammy.
356929 tn?1246389756 Texas, New Mexico, and Illinois had the most cases. I will watch out for that, and tell my mom. She loves sliced tomatoes.
