Osteoarthritis and tendonitis

Common Questions and Answers about Osteoarthritis and tendonitis

osteoarthritis

I've had mri's of my spine and shows osteoarthritis with bone spurs in cervical thoracic and lumbar. This was done in 2007 (i was 35), now i have this horrible tendonitis in both wrists and i'm on prednisone. Could this be related to the arthritis? i'm seeing an ortho but he doesn't know about the osteoarthritis (i was just rereading my reports and it jumped out at me). What should i expect with this diagnosis? I have terrible neck pain and headaches and numbness on left side of body.
said it's dequervain's tendonitis. I have redness, swelling, and slight bruising, but no pain in my wrist. ( also there was no injury ) I have been wearing a splint and taking nsaid's for 3 days now with no improvement. Does anyone know what is wrong with my thumb?
PRP therapy offers a solution to accelerate healing of tendon injuries and osteoarthritis naturally without subjecting the patient to significant risk so your orthopedician is trying to heal your tendoachilles and as he had said surgery is the last option for you. There are many growth factors present in your blood, however cumulatively they accelerate tissue and wound healing so platelets rich plasma is given to accelerate growth. Take care!
I really don't want this to get worse and am worried because my grandmother and mother had osteoperosis and osteoarthritis and I just want to do what I can to get stronger and maybe even reverse things or at least keep things from getting worse. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
I've used it on my knees before and after surgery and it didn't work for that. However, my dentist used it on my jaw for TMJ pain and it worked for that. So to answer your question, I think it really depends on you and your body. Some people may have some success, while others may not. I hope that makes sense....
One of the major causes of arthritis, fibromyalgia, tendonitis and other related diseases and disorders are high toxic levels, from toxic drugs and foods, toxins the environment, etc. A common finding in arthritis is bacterial and candida overgrowth in the digestive system, which is called "gut dysbiosis.
I had similiar episode 3 years ago with (L) that eventually required surgery and has never bothered me since. I did go through 3 injections prior to the surgery and each time it helped for a short time. I am leery of getting steroids as I know they can do more damage than good but I am oh so tired of this. I have not injured it that I know of although in Feb 07 I fell down a flight of stairs and broke 2 fingers in that hand so I am wondering if it is just arthritis from that??
The last couple of months I noticed pain in my upper right arm and some limited motion so I went to the doctor last week and he thinks I have tendonitis in my rotator cuff and put in a referral for Physical Therapy. I also have carpal tunnel and I have osteoarthritis. Both very painful, and I also need surgery, and I told them not right now. I take a long time to heal, and that alone is enough for me not to have surgery. I also use splints at night, and I have had to cut back on my quilting, but I refuse to stop all together. The osteoarthritis I have in all of my joints as well as RA, I have a triple whammy.
To start with both the knees need to be X-rayed, and RA factor and antinuclear antibody (ANA) levels detected in blood. If nothing is detected then MRI may be done. Take care!
live with severe chronic pain; Osteoarthritis and Tendonitis. I've been in recovery and sober for years. I have P.T.S.D. and have been told by doctors it's what causes my hyper-sexual ability that my girlfriend hates. With the exception of my pain my physical/ sexual health is fine. There are two conditions which cause pain while at rest or sleeping. One is arthritis, preferably osteoarthritis and the other is tendonitis. This is typically seen in osteoarthritis in initial stages. Being overweight also adds to the strain on ankle joint and hastens the wear and tear of cartilage. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.

First off, you need a diagnosis. Most likely this is osteoarthritis but other types of arthritis or even tendonitis are also possible. Hi there and Welcome! I suffer from RA and a few other shoulder/elbow tendonitis issues. So, I can understand some of your pain. You are in a good place here at MH as there are many others who suffer serious pain. If you are ready to get off your opiates (or other meds) you are at the right place. You are on quite a few different meds and have many health issues, have you discussed this with your Doctor?

Consult an orthopaedician for detailed assessment. Take care.

Otherwise it can also be exacerbation of the spine problem since your last MRI.
I suggest this because I was very active when I was young and up until about 45 when everything started to hurt me. Check the fibro board and the degenerative diseases board and also the undiagnosed symptoms board. Good luck, and please let me know what you find out.
