hi my friend had unprotected vaginal intercourse with a CSW , after three months he did Hiv-1,2 antibody combo test i came back with negative , but one week before he had influenza b positive , for this one he took oseltamivir tablet 75 mg tablet 9 nos for 5 days , these tablets can affect the test result? Kindly confirm he needs to check again three months antibody test is conclusive.

s sudden appearance might have been a side effect of TAMIFLU which is now known to rich (oseltamivir substance) the blood-brain barrier and cause irreversible dammages to brain.
As a conclusion, TAMIFLU appeared to be responsable of a "medecinal intoxication" causing the narcolepsy-cataplexy I suddenly suffer since then.
Several Years after, we hear about narcolepsy cases caused by the massive H1N1 vaccinations...

if any family members are aged, frail, or have other underlying illnesses, s/he definitely should see a doctor. They may be candidates for oseltamivir (Tamiflu), which speeds recovery and helps prevent complications. Also, even healthy or strong individuals benefit it started early -- anyone who is just starting to become ill (within 2-3 days) should see the doc.

As usual our Remar has offered some good information. UDT (urinary Drug Test) is a chemical science - either well or poorly understood by PMP. Chemistry was never my strong suit - and that's what UDTs are all about.
It depends on the type of UDT your PMP utilized.
Lindahl mesured riba absorption through HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) testing which is not available in this country, unless perhaps in some research labs. Unfortuantely, very little work here in this area which could potentially have salvaged many, many SVRs, but resources (money and white coats) are elsewhere, mostly with the PI's. I expect we will see some pre-dosing studies soon and maybe some enlightened clinicians will start demanding HPLC testing for their patients.
hi doc, As you know, I will be looking to do my antibodies test on the 42 day mark. I am currently now on a course of Tamiflu aka Oseltamivir. My question would it cause my test result to be invalid. Thanks this would be my last question.
You have a high urine - (and the doctor used a test that is less sensitive, there is a more sensitive test that has a lower range using a method called HPLC). The high calcium shows that you may have a parathyroid issue - and that should be addressed as well - in fact, if you have that, with a pituitary and adrenal tumor, the doc should be evaluating you for MEN - multiple endocrine neoplasia. Just my thoughts out there.

I've had lingering bronchitis since 11/17. Started Harvoni :-) 12/1 4 wk labs on Monday.
I'm feeling really good now w/ Harvoni end week 4. Unfortunately :(, I have been at veterinarian hospital with a very sick cat many days this week. Unfortunately, many staff there, including doc in room with me have been hit with H3 flu.
Thanks for the answers. Has anyone taken theraflu while on treatment? My boyfriend has a cold and I did my shot last night, so I wont know if it is the shot or the cold?!!??
