ortho-tri-cyclen

Avatar f tn ) last month and all was well up until the last week when I started spotting. Well because of my insurance I had to switch to Ortho Tri Cyclen this month so i decided to skip the brown placebo pills so i could "skip" my period, but on exactly Day 1 of Ortho Tri Cyclen it made me start my period Full on! I am on Day 3 and still have my period...... ugh!!!
Avatar f tn I went to the gyno yesterday and was given Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to help regulate my periods. I have not had a period since March 2008. My doc told me to begin my first month of pills on the Sunday following the beginning of my next period. Problem is, i don't have any idea when that could be. Does anyone know if it would be harmful for me to begin taking the pills now and not wait for my next period?
Avatar m tn I was debating between Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen or Othro Tri Cyclen Lo.. I am currently on Ortho Cyclen but I was thinking why am I pumping all this hormones into my body each month. Me and my partner also use condoms as backup. I am even willing to try other brands if 1 is better? I guess I just dont under the difference between them all and the effect on your body good/bad. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for almost 6 months. I always got my period when I started my green pills but this month I didnt. But as soon as I finished the green pill I had a light brown discharge only once. Just wondering what this could be?
Avatar f tn So since my period came then and lasted that long, does that mean my period is trying to get back on track? Does ortho tri-cyclen really help for irregular periods? And when should I try for a baby after taking the pill for 3 months? My doctor put me on the pill for 3 months b/c Im trying to have a baby and I have been trying for over 2 years but nothing. Please tell me all u know about this or someone experienced this and got good results afterwards.
Avatar f tn Now my causing says that the name brand has pink pills insted of green ( the last 7 pills ) and it spins to dispence every pill, and trinessa you have to punch trough the bottom to get the pills... Now I just want to know how the name brand of ortho tri cyclen really looks like, if anyone can provide a pic would be very helpful ...... Please I don't need anyone making fun of me here so for anyone that thinks this is just too stupid please don't post anything here ...

Avatar n tn I just recently started taking a Ortho tri-cyclen and I was wondering if starting birth control could cause your period to be delayed?
Avatar n tn Ok...so i began taking the ortho tri-cyclen lo last friday as the quick start option. I am normally supposed to be on my period right now. BUT it has not started yet and i'm beginning to worry. Does taking the pills as the quick start prevent my period from normally happening? Or is it supposed to just start when i get to the "inactive" pills in the pack? Should i be worried that i may be pregnant??
Avatar f tn I was previously on Ortho Tri Cyclen for a year an a half. I stopped taking it about 6 months ago and was off the pill for that time period. I just started a new pill called Lo Lestren Fe on September 2nd and I started spotting pretty heavily for the past 9 days and it still hasn't stopped.
Avatar f tn Well, i know about 5 people that were on ortho tri cyclen lo and got pregnant and 3 of them were taking it correctly. I was on ortho tri cyclen lo for 7 months this year. I stopped my pills in Oct. and started taking prenatal pills because i ended up pregnant but it was a chemical pregnancy. I would suggest you get a stronger dose bcp if your doctor says its ok..... Im sure that if you talk to your doc.
Avatar m tn I have had a hormonal imbalance for 2 years (producing too much androgen) and in that time I had gained quite a bit of weight. I am now taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen and have actually begun to FINALLY start losing weight. My weight loss is not much yet, but I was wondering if taking these birth control pills is actually the reason for my weight loss?
Avatar f tn What kind of birth control pill are you on? I have been on both Tri-Spintec (generic Ortho Tri-Cyclen) + Ortho Try-Cyclen Lo, and I know that if you miss 2 or 3 days of the pills, it will give you an early period. Were you taking it consistently before those days that you missed? And did you have sex after those missed pills? Either way, I think that it is probably because you missed those two pills, but if you want to know for sure go pick up a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn period stopped in august before last depo shot now i just started ortho tri cylen lo a week when will i get my period?
Avatar f tn s prescribed me birth control but I never took it. I am now thinking of starting it to try to get myself regulated. The pill is Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. Any ladies on it or have been on it? Any advice?
Avatar n tn I took an Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control pill this morning & have been experiencing accelerated heart rate, difficulty breathing and numbness of the limbs. What do these symptoms indicate & what steps should I take?
1699847 tn?1306967171 I had the opposite experience with a generic version of Ortho Tri Cyclen...I was able to lose weight and my sex drive went through the roof.
Avatar f tn I am on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, which is a triphasic pill. I have tried skipping my period before by just taking a new pack before I started my period, but I had break through bleeding. After doing some research, I found that that isn't the best way to skip your period on a triphasic pill.
Avatar f tn I got pregnant while taking ortho tri cyclen lo because I had some of the days like you do where I had to double up!
Avatar n tn t received any responses to your post. As for this one, I have had no experience with ortho tri cyclen, so I cannot answer your question. The only suggestion I can give is to see your doctor and have a blood test done to check for pregnancy. Sorry I couldn't be much help. :) But wanted you to know that I did read your post.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
Avatar f tn s not worth messing everything up with a pregnancy at our age. She was taking ortho tri cyclen and everything seemed fine, but her doctor switched her over to Yaz and ever since then it's been horrible. She's always got very bad mood swings, and her sex drive is ZERO and it hurts when we do it. I figured I'd ask on here because it's hurting our relationship and I love her and don't want anything to come between us.
Avatar f tn I was taking Ortho Cyclen for 2 months and my doctor changed my pills to Ortho Novum. I bled a little when i started the new prescription, about 3 days before the inactive pills, I bled very very little (like 2 days but not enough to even use a tampon). I am 5 days into my new pill pack. I take my pills before bed and i did forget twice last month but took them as soon as i woke up.(between my 2 and 3rd week) I have been feeling moody lately and pretty crampy.
1163100 tn?1262843445 Ok i just started taking birthcontrol for the first time ever!!!...and i started taking it dec23 which is also the same day i started my period......It is now january 7 and i am still on my period which means iv been on my period for 15days now???...I just want to know is this normal cause it's real light!!!......And everytime me and my boyfriend had sex he always came in me and i never gotten pregnant??Not saying that i want to but im worried that i can't have kids period.,..
Avatar f tn Talk to your doctor to make sure your pill is safe to do this with, but I know on Microgestin, I can take it months in a row and skip however many periods I want. Just know if your doctor does say this is safe with your pill that you'll need to be very faithful with taking it as you will likely start some breakthrough bleeding if you miss even one pill. You could even have some regardless depending how your body reacts.
Avatar n tn This is my first month on ortho tri cyclen lo. I started on the first day of my period and it had been shorter than usual. Then towards the end of the month when I started taking the dark blue pills I started spotting, but then towards the last 3 pills it started to flow like a regular period. Does this mean I'm going to get a period on the green pills?
Avatar f tn Ortho Evra®, Ovcon® 35, Ortho Tri-Cyclen®, Othro-Cyclen®, Necon® 1/35, Alesse®, Levlite®, Tri-Levlen or Trivora.
Avatar n tn I have already posted a question, but I'm switching birth control's Friday, and I'm think about going on Ortho Tri-Cyclen because I heard it's almost the best birth control you can find. Any other suggestions??
