Well because of my insurance I had to switch to Ortho Tri Cyclen this month so i decided to skip the brown placebo pills so i could "skip" my period, but on exactly Day 1 of Ortho Tri Cyclen it made me start my period Full on! I am on Day 3 and still have my period...... ugh!!!
I was debating between Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen or Othro Tri Cyclen Lo.. I am currently on Ortho Cyclen but I was thinking why am I pumping all this hormones into my body each month.
Me and my partner also use condoms as backup.
I am even willing to try other brands if 1 is better?
I guess I just dont under the difference between them all and the effect on your body good/bad.

I went to the gyno yesterday and was given Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to help regulate my periods. I have not had a period since March 2008. My doc told me to begin my first month of pills on the Sunday following the beginning of my next period. Problem is, i don't have any idea when that could be. Does anyone know if it would be harmful for me to begin taking the pills now and not wait for my next period?
So since my period came then and lasted that long, does that mean my period is trying to get back on track? Does ortho tri-cyclen really help for irregular periods? And when should I try for a baby after taking the pill for 3 months? My doctor put me on the pill for 3 months b/c Im trying to have a baby and I have been trying for over 2 years but nothing. Please tell me all u know about this or someone experienced this and got good results afterwards.

how r u doing today ? yeah i will say yes what u thinking ,that pills definately doesn't suit on u coz these pills hv some heavy and some low pressure ,may be u didn't tolrate heavy one ,so take low pressure pills. i am also taking low pressure pills. coz my doctor suggest me this pills.i can give u the name of my pills . i started these pills from this month again.it is good and not irriteted .

Ok...so i began taking the ortho tri-cyclen lo last friday as the quick start option. I am normally supposed to be on my period right now. BUT it has not started yet and i'm beginning to worry. Does taking the pills as the quick start prevent my period from normally happening? Or is it supposed to just start when i get to the "inactive" pills in the pack? Should i be worried that i may be pregnant??
Well, i know about 5 people that were on ortho tri cyclen lo and got pregnant and 3 of them were taking it correctly. I was on ortho tri cyclen lo for 7 months this year. I stopped my pills in Oct. and started taking prenatal pills because i ended up pregnant but it was a chemical pregnancy. I would suggest you get a stronger dose bcp if your doctor says its ok..... Im sure that if you talk to your doc.
I have had a hormonal imbalance for 2 years (producing too much androgen) and in that time I had gained quite a bit of weight. I am now taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen and have actually begun to FINALLY start losing weight. My weight loss is not much yet, but I was wondering if taking these birth control pills is actually the reason for my weight loss?
What kind of birth control pill are you on? I have been on both Tri-Spintec (generic Ortho Tri-Cyclen) + Ortho Try-Cyclen Lo, and I know that if you miss 2 or 3 days of the pills, it will give you an early period. Were you taking it consistently before those days that you missed? And did you have sex after those missed pills?
Either way, I think that it is probably because you missed those two pills, but if you want to know for sure go pick up a pregnancy test.
I just started taking ortho tri cyclen lo birth control pills august 4, 2013. I started my cycle august 14-24 which was odd cuz it was way to long for me and now its august 29, 2013 and im bleeding again. What does this mean? I was spotting a few days before today but now its getting a little heavier. Why wont my period stop?
I am 28 years old and have been taking Ortho-Tricyclen for about 12 years (about 6 years ago my doctor switched me twice, which really screwed my hormones up and so I went back to Ortho-tri-cyclen). ...ive been on ortho tri cyclen for 11 months never missed a pill and never had any problems....untill this month I had bleeding exactly one week before my period it was very light pink only noticable when i wipe it happened for a day and a half.....so i wated for my period and it was 1 day late andnot like it usually is ...its usually very flowing....but its brown /bright red.....and if i use a tampon it only fills a quarter of it so its like im just spotting....
Hey ladies...so ive been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for 2 months now and i was supposed to get my period on the 26th...it still hasnt come yet ): has anyone had this issue with this pill? i did miss a day on the 22nd, but took it with my next day dose. Then i missed it again on the 24th and took that pill with my next day dose as well...was that wrong? I was on Lo estrin and got pregnant on it after 3 months.
s not worth messing everything up with a pregnancy at our age. She was taking ortho tri cyclen and everything seemed fine, but her doctor switched her over to Yaz and ever since then it's been horrible. She's always got very bad mood swings, and her sex drive is ZERO and it hurts when we do it. I figured I'd ask on here because it's hurting our relationship and I love her and don't want anything to come between us.
t think you can do it without at least some spotting. Ortho tri cyclen lo is a triphasic pill, which means that each week is a different dose. The bleeding on the pill is caused by withdrawal from the hormones, so even if you start a new pack with no break, you'll be lowering your dose and will probably bleed. In the future, if you want to be able to skip periods at will, get on on monophasic pill, which has only one dose and therefore allows you to skip periods by starting a new pack.
This is my first month on ortho tri cyclen lo. I started on the first day of my period and it had been shorter than usual. Then towards the end of the month when I started taking the dark blue pills I started spotting, but then towards the last 3 pills it started to flow like a regular period. Does this mean I'm going to get a period on the green pills?
I had it out in june due to continuous spotting then several weeks of heavy bleeding off and on. I went on ortho tri cyclen lo generic the same day mirena was removed.
Since starting the pill i've had the first week fine, spotting the second week and heavy bleeding the third, then the "period" week. I'm on the third pack now, 2 days in the bleeding has finally stopped again.
Is this normal, or at least ok?
