ortho-tri-cyclen

Avatar n tn I took an Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control pill this morning & have been experiencing accelerated heart rate, difficulty breathing and numbness of the limbs. What do these symptoms indicate & what steps should I take?
Avatar m tn I was debating between Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen or Othro Tri Cyclen Lo.. I am currently on Ortho Cyclen but I was thinking why am I pumping all this hormones into my body each month. Me and my partner also use condoms as backup. I am even willing to try other brands if 1 is better? I guess I just dont under the difference between them all and the effect on your body good/bad. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Well, you switched from a monophasic pill to a triphasic pill, so it might take your body some time to adjust to having varying levels of hormones instead of having a consistent level as you did with the minestrin. Also, with ortho tri cyclen, I'm pretty sure the lowest level of hormone level it's that first week, then slightly higher the next week and then the highest level the third week before the placebos.
2020005 tn?1628125976 I stopped taking my Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo on the 20th of this month, but before I even stopped taking it (the 19th) I was having some light spotting, it continued for 3 days, just light brown/pink spotting, I noticed it was EW like, just brownish, does that mean I ovulated this month, or is that just a side effect of stopping my BC, having EWCM??? Is it possible to ovulate straight off from birth control?!
Avatar f tn hello everyone my cousin recomended me ortho tri cyclen as birth control mostly because it worked so goog for her... Before that I was using mirena ... And i had it removed due to very bad side effects... So I asked for ortho but they gave me trinessa a generic form of ortho ... Now from all the research I've been doing and the side effects I've had so far with it makes me belive that I should be using the name brand...
Avatar f tn I have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for almost 6 months. I always got my period when I started my green pills but this month I didnt. But as soon as I finished the green pill I had a light brown discharge only once. Just wondering what this could be?
Avatar f tn I went to the gyno yesterday and was given Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to help regulate my periods. I have not had a period since March 2008. My doc told me to begin my first month of pills on the Sunday following the beginning of my next period. Problem is, i don't have any idea when that could be. Does anyone know if it would be harmful for me to begin taking the pills now and not wait for my next period?
Avatar m tn ) I hope I am as lucky as you are with the Ortho Tri-Cyclen continuing to help me lose weight. So far the extra weight I gained during the 2 years of my hormonal imbalance is slowing melting away, but I am definitely seeing a difference. With regulating my periods, protecting against pregnancy, helping me lose weight, and clearing up my acne and making my skin softer, Ortho Tri-Cyclen really seems like a miracle drug!
Avatar f tn I started taking ortho tri-cyclen birth control pills since august 4, 2013 to help regulate my periods. I started my cycle/bleeding august 14 to 24 which was very odd to me b/c my cycles r 5-6 days long but this time it wasn't and my period came august 14, 2013 but it would usually come At the end of the month or sometimes the beginning or not at all. So since my period came then and lasted that long, does that mean my period is trying to get back on track?
Avatar n tn Ok...so i began taking the ortho tri-cyclen lo last friday as the quick start option. I am normally supposed to be on my period right now. BUT it has not started yet and i'm beginning to worry. Does taking the pills as the quick start prevent my period from normally happening? Or is it supposed to just start when i get to the "inactive" pills in the pack? Should i be worried that i may be pregnant??
1699847 tn?1306967171 I have been on the pill for years now. I am currently on Ortho-tri-cyclen-lo and I am thinking about switching to Seasonique so I won't get 12 periods a year. I want to be on a pill that won't make me gain weight or give me major acne. Any tips/help.
Avatar f tn Don't take Plan B when you're already on the pill. You're already protected by being on the pill. The only time you need to worry about talking the bc pill at the same time daily is when you're on the mini pill, which has a much higher failure rate when it's taken later. But being on the ortho tri cyclen the timing isn't important as long as it's not something majorly late. Like 12 hours late would be pushing it but 6 hours is not a big deal.
Avatar f tn Ortho Evra®, Ovcon® 35, Ortho Tri-Cyclen®, Othro-Cyclen®, Necon® 1/35, Alesse®, Levlite®, Tri-Levlen or Trivora.

Avatar f tn They switched me back to my old birth control, Ortho Tri Cyclen, and said it was probably a hormone thing. I started taking my new pill yesterday and I'm still spotting that reddish, pink color blood. I am getting so impatient lol!!! No one wants to bleed for this long !!!
Avatar n tn After 5 years on it, she switched from Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to Ortho Tri Cyclen in May. (She had breakthrough bleeding, no serious side effects.) When she switched, she hasn't found me attractive and is severely questioning whether we're meant to be together. There are moments where she shows she's still interested, and she describes herself as having mixed emotions. (Mood swings maybe?
Avatar f tn s prescribed me birth control but I never took it. I am now thinking of starting it to try to get myself regulated. The pill is Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. Any ladies on it or have been on it? Any advice?
Avatar f tn What kind of birth control pill are you on? I have been on both Tri-Spintec (generic Ortho Tri-Cyclen) + Ortho Try-Cyclen Lo, and I know that if you miss 2 or 3 days of the pills, it will give you an early period. Were you taking it consistently before those days that you missed? And did you have sex after those missed pills? Either way, I think that it is probably because you missed those two pills, but if you want to know for sure go pick up a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn Hey ladies...so ive been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for 2 months now and i was supposed to get my period on the 26th...it still hasnt come yet ): has anyone had this issue with this pill? i did miss a day on the 22nd, but took it with my next day dose. Then i missed it again on the 24th and took that pill with my next day dose as well...was that wrong? I was on Lo estrin and got pregnant on it after 3 months.
Avatar n tn I have already posted a question, but I'm switching birth control's Friday, and I'm think about going on Ortho Tri-Cyclen because I heard it's almost the best birth control you can find. Any other suggestions??
Avatar f tn I am on ortho tri cyclen lo and am also prone to yeast infections. I want to try Azo Yeast to help control it. Will Azo interact with the pill?
1250698 tn?1371351279 I've been on Ortho-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo, Nuvaring. The types I have not tried was progesterone only, shots, IUD, and implants. Nuvaring was my latest and that was the worst experience I have ever had. Every single type I have used, I have had the same symptoms: nausea, headaches, dizziness, irregular cycles, spotting, weight gain, and mood swings. Since May of this year, I have been doing it naturally, but I am still trying to figure out when I ovulate...
Avatar f tn hi, i used to be on birth control for 2-3 years i believe. when i first started the doc asked me what kind i wanted to take but i had no clue to what i wanted so they gave me one. i forgot the brand but it made me bleed 2 1/2 to 3 days only on my cycle. it made me tired and i had bad cramps and also my breast was very tender and sore. it also did make me moody too. one day my bf squeezed my breast because of how big they got and noticed liquid came out everytime he squeezed them.
737515 tn?1252552423 I went from ortho tri cyclen lo, to ortho cyclen, to ortho tri cyclen. All of which have made me have anxiety. I was on the depo shot for years and beside minor bone loss i had no issues. Is there anyone who has had this problem and actually found an answer?? I am sexually active and not ready for a child at all.
Avatar f tn t think you can do it without at least some spotting. Ortho tri cyclen lo is a triphasic pill, which means that each week is a different dose. The bleeding on the pill is caused by withdrawal from the hormones, so even if you start a new pack with no break, you'll be lowering your dose and will probably bleed. In the future, if you want to be able to skip periods at will, get on on monophasic pill, which has only one dose and therefore allows you to skip periods by starting a new pack.
Avatar n tn Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo -- got the pill, my clinician approved that this one would help me the most over my past experiences, and I brought it home. Didn't dare start taking it, instead researched reviews of it, and found that people were both suicidal/pregnant while on the pill. At this point, I just want some kind of birth control pill, nothing else, that can satisfy my needs.
