if i changed from the pills to the ortho evra patch two weeks go nd i had spotting today and in te middle of he night can it be that im pregnan....

I have been on Ortho Evra for a year now. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, although, aside from being irregular I haven't ever had any other symptoms with it. I went on Ortho Evra because I was really anemic, and the irregularity was annoying me, so the patches fixed both. I loved it up until the past month or two when I started noticing that I'm becoming crazy. Slowly I've become really paranoid and been thinking really morbid things.

I was on the patch, ortho evra, it worked good I guess, I didn't end up pregnant again until I quit using it, I believe I gained weight on it though, its one of the side effects but I seem to be prone to gaining weight every time I'm on birth control.

I have been on birth control for the past three years, I was on yasmin for two years and had severe headaches and was then put on seasonique. I tried to stick it out with the seasonique but I just recently got so fed up with the depression and symptoms I stopped taking it all together. I had NO sex drive on seasonique and now I have a healthy one again but I want to find a birth control that does not take away my sex drive or make me depressed. I was thinking maybe ortho tri cylcen low.

Ortho Evra®, Ovcon® 35, Ortho Tri-Cyclen®, Othro-Cyclen®, Necon® 1/35, Alesse®, Levlite®, Tri-Levlen or Trivora.

I use the patch, Ortho Evra. My doc tried to discourage me from it because of the risks, but since I have none of the risk factors (age, smoking) I went ahead. Besides, doesn't the pill have similar risks?? Anyway, I cannot remember to take the pill either, LoL, the patch is easy to remember because by day 7 it is falling off-- time to change!

I am currently on the implanon but will be switching to the ortho evra patch . What are some thoughts or opinions on this birth control ? Is there anything bad you experienced or maybe some good effects to it ? ADVICE ?

Hi preggy ladies! I was curious as to what kind of birth control, if any, you girls may be using after your babies. I'm 20 and having my first in March and although I want more kids I don't want them right away. I've never been on birth control and I just wanted to know from someone with experience which methods are better and more common.

I did not know at the time that this anti-biotic can interfere with your birth control. I had unprotected sex with my husband during this time. When I was 18 I finally got on birth control to regulate it. I started on Ortho Tri Cyclin and then switched to Ortho Evra. I was on Ortho Evra for about 5 years and had no difficulties with it and my period became normal. I stopped taking all birth control in August of 2008. I was expecting to have an irregular period again, but it is much worse. On average I've been getting my "period" about every two months, but I bleed much more than that.

If it is more than one pill, you need to make sure you are using back up birth control and I would say to do that anyway for the duration of this month to make sure you are safe.

I have a question for anyone using the Ortho Evra Patch to help control their endometriosis. It says right on the box that you are exposed to 60% more estrogen using the patch then other birth control pills. Since estrogen "feeds" endometriosis, how does this make sense? I have been advised by my doctor after 6 months of Lupron injections, to use the patch consistantly (not having a patch off week and not getting a period) until we are ready to get pregnant.

so im on the ortho evra patch and i accidently misunderstood and took it off too early i took it off monday the 21st and had sex wednesday the 23rd well the condom busted and well yeah well i took plan b one step within 6 hours of it happenein and put my birth control patch on as instructed to do so by my pharmacist guess im just asking how concerned should i be that im pregnant

I then took 2 rounds of birth control pills to try to restart my cycle and regulate it. I then stopped taking contraceptives and went the "not trying but not preventing route". My cycels have never in my life been regular except while on oral contraceptives an while on Ortho Evra patch. Now I haven't had my period in about 6 or 8 weeks, very small amount of brown spotting twice during, but only there when I wipe.
