ortho evra birth control patch side effects

Hello, All your symptoms are the side effects of the birth control ortho evra patch. The Ortho Evra birth control patch releases a high amount of estrogen into the bloodstream—60% more than from birth control pills—which is known to increase the risk for blood clots.These blood clots occlude the blood vessels as thrombi and if they get dislodged and occlude the blood vessels at some other site,they are called emboli.

I was on the patch, ortho evra, it worked good I guess, I didn't end up pregnant again until I quit using it, I believe I gained weight on it though, its one of the side effects but I seem to be prone to gaining weight every time I'm on birth control.

I am currently on the implanon but will be switching to the ortho evra patch . What are some thoughts or opinions on this birth control ? Is there anything bad you experienced or maybe some good effects to it ? ADVICE ?

if i changed from the pills to the ortho evra patch two weeks go nd i had spotting today and in te middle of he night can it be that im pregnan....

I would never recommend taking Ortho Evra to anyone!!! I was on it for just over a year with no complications when I started to have symptoms like the ones you mentioned. I was convinced someone was going to kill me and I hated being home alone. The symptoms got worse and all of a sudden I had horrible pregnancy symptoms and began having really serious anxiety attacks and was so depressed I couldn't get out of bed.

i am on the ortho evra birth control patch. this is my third week on the patch. i have had unprotected sex whithin the 3 weeks and i am exsperincing nausea,headeache,fatigue, i feel bloated,and my breast are tender.. could i pregnant?? what should i do???

What is your favorite birth control ? Least favorite ? Ugly side effects ? Ill be 26 weeks in a few days and wanna start thinking about if i want to take BC and whst kind i want.

I used the evra patch it worked great for me.

With my first i used the patch..but all birth control made me feel nauseated and pregnant so after 4 weeks i stopped using it. :/ this one im using mini pill!

I use the patch, Ortho Evra. My doc tried to discourage me from it because of the risks, but since I have none of the risk factors (age, smoking) I went ahead. Besides, doesn't the pill have similar risks?? Anyway, I cannot remember to take the pill either, LoL, the patch is easy to remember because by day 7 it is falling off-- time to change!

I have a question for anyone using the Ortho Evra Patch to help control their endometriosis. It says right on the box that you are exposed to 60% more estrogen using the patch then other birth control pills. Since estrogen "feeds" endometriosis, how does this make sense? I have been advised by my doctor after 6 months of Lupron injections, to use the patch consistantly (not having a patch off week and not getting a period) until we are ready to get pregnant.

My suggestion is to google Evra contraceptive patch and see what comes up, specifically possible side effects of Evra contraceptive patch. Based on what you find, I would probably recommend making an appointment with your family doctor. Maybe even changing your method of birth control., just a thought. Of course, your family doctor who knows your medical history is the best person to discuss this issue with. Good luck getting some answers.

hi im 16 years old and i recently had my period a week later i am bleeding again but its abnormally heavy which is not normal for me because my periods are usually very light and only last 3 days but Ive been bleeding now for four days and im not on my period im not exactly sure whats wrong but im very worried that there could be something very wrong. i am on the birth control ortho evra ( the patch ) and im pretty sure it has nothing to do with that. im just looking for answers!

so im on the ortho evra patch and i accidently misunderstood and took it off too early i took it off monday the 21st and had sex wednesday the 23rd well the condom busted and well yeah well i took plan b one step within 6 hours of it happenein and put my birth control patch on as instructed to do so by my pharmacist guess im just asking how concerned should i be that im pregnant

I am 19 years old and I am using Ortho Evra patch for contraception and I have been for five months. I have never been pregnant before, but I am beginning to think I have some symptoms even though I have NOT missed or had any late/irregular periods. -I've been feeling a pulse in my stomach especially when I lay down and press on the mid part of my stomach just above the belly button.

I have been on birth control for the past three years, I was on yasmin for two years and had severe headaches and was then put on seasonique. I tried to stick it out with the seasonique but I just recently got so fed up with the depression and symptoms I stopped taking it all together. I had NO sex drive on seasonique and now I have a healthy one again but I want to find a birth control that does not take away my sex drive or make me depressed.
