diet

Avatar m tn I would look up the package insert online because they are all available online. That's what any doctor or pharmacist would be looking at if you asked them.
Avatar f tn I have done some reading online about diets and endometriosis and was wondering if anyone has any advice or further information relating to this. I have found that a gluten free diet has made a difference with the pain and try to avoid too many dairy products and preservative rich foods. Any advice or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Avatar f tn however I AM also seeing a dietician, who has me on a calorie controlled diet (1400 cals a day). Those calories must be proper foods, solid meals & healthy snacks. I've found that calorie control is the only way I can successfully lose weight: however 'reverting' will result in mammoth weight gain in record timing, so vigilance and self control is paramount (both of which I have in short supply).
Avatar f tn Huh, interesting. I did know the ability to order online existed, but have to agree that it sounds risky. Thanks for that info!

8751592 tn?1403133170 If the information about the food elimination diet challenge you find online still seems to complicated to you, you will want to see a naturopath in order to get the guidance you need in order to understand how to do the elimination diet successfully and get the most information you need in order to feel better. Sometimes the foods in the Tyramine Intolerance list will make me feel sick and other times they don't. And, usually if I feel sick it means I'm getting a migraine.
Avatar f tn Is there any specific diet for diabetic patients? There are many articles online but confusing for which to follow. Some say fruits are bad, others say they are healthy, for example, bananas. Are there certain vitamins or supplements to take or any natural change of eating habits? It may vary from person to person but generally what should one eat to control levels of blood sugar.
5648238 tn?1431863784 Hello. I've looked online and have gotten different answers. While breastfeeding, do women need to stay on basically the same diet as pregnancy? I really want deli meats like Subway. I know the chances of be getting anything is low, but would rather stay away from it while pregnant.
Avatar n tn Professor Peter Rogers from the University of Bristol notes in the online resource ScienceDaily.com that the desire to eat foods, such as chocolate, combined with knowledge that they should be eaten in moderation causes you to crave them more. It might be best to go cold turkey for a few weeks. Over time, if your cravings are due to habit, they should subside. Make sure you are consuming adequate nutrition and calories during the day.

Avatar f tn You can also order those tests online, yourself for about $100. You order the tests, they send you a lab order, you get the blood drawn and they send you the results. You'll have to have a doctor review them and write a script for thyroid med. There are free clinics you can go to, or those that charge based on income. Going to one of those, will only get you a TSH test, which isn't enough to tell what's going on, though it's a start.
Avatar f tn After my colectomy in Oct. I my body seemed to crave foods which helped it to heal and also helped with the ileostomy output. Now my body feels confused and exhausted. Am looking for some foods, remedies, advice to help slow my digestion and help stools to form more.

Tbd Hi, depending how long you have had diabetes, and your overall condition, losing weight and changing your diet to a strict low carb diet / keto diet, could possibly put your diabetes into remission or at worst make it very much easier to manage. The principle of low carb diet is restricting carbs, particularly all grains, sugars, starchy veges and sweet fruits, and eating a diet that focusses more on protein, low carb plant foods (veges and non-sweet fruits), some nuts, and healthy fats.
Avatar n tn Food triggers are different for different persons. Some people find cold foods worsening the pain whereas some find spicy foods intolerable. Foods that contain a lot of fat may also trigger the pain. For you it seems to be the same. Please avoid spicy, high salt and high fat diet. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!

Avatar n tn We have tried various shampoos (detergent and fragrance free, medicated, Oatmeal, etc.), foods (she is now on an all natural, no additives, preservatives, etc.), but nothing seems to help. She doesn't act as though she is miserable, and is eating and sleeping well. I have thought about taking her to a vet to have various allergy tests run in order to determine the cause...I would appreciate anyone that might have some input.
616450 tn?1228433627 Folks, I talked to my endocrinologist about the way certain foods seem to affect my thyroid. She said nothing I eat can help or hurt my thyroid, but I could swear I feel it almost HURT about a half hour after I eat a lot of dairy. Also, if I eat something like Sun Chips--or any thing else with a lot of enriched wheat flour, etc.--I feel it as well along with a "pumped up" feeling. I read some about it online, but the endo claims it doesn't have much to do with my diet.
Avatar m tn , am I eating quality foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits, and whole foods or am I eating highly processed foods and saturated fats. I can get there from here either way, but one way is far superior! Also, am I drinking AT LEAST 8 glasses of plain water DAILY? I aim for one gallon. Drinking water is a gr8 way to start the day and kick up my metabolism. Am I moving my bowels several times a day? Am I eating small meals and spreading them out over the day?
