opana er snort

Ive been taking oxycontin 80, (6 day) & dilaudid 8 (8 day) for 15 years due to many health issues ... I was just put on opana 40 ER (4 day)& Opana 10 (4 day). Since i've been on the new meds i think i have been blacking out; l be doing something and i open my eyes and i dont know where i am, or what just happened, Are these seizures??? Or Withdrawals ??? Both?? Does Anyone Have Any Input?

when i could not find oxycontin i would take opana er 40mg. opana(oxymorphone) is about twice as potent as oxycodone. they are rather new i believe they came out in 2002?

I was hoping that all you kind peps would give me your input about Opana ER. I am on fentanyl 175/48 hrs. right now. not what I want it to be. I really need to find a solution. Thanks.

Ive been on Opana Er & Ir for 2 years now and couldnt be more happy with it. Opana doesnt make me sleepy, groggy, high, or anything like that, instead it takes away my pain.

Hey , just kinda stumpled on to this site trying to find out about subonox for my problem with opana . Opana is fairly new stuff , some form of morphine I believe . I've been on and off it for about 3 years now . Currently taking 2 / 30mg per day .... well that's what is prescribed anyway . About 6 months ago I discovered how to snort it and that has led to quite a problem with enjoying it too much .

Opana ER has been a LIVESAVING drug for me, non sedating, i can hold my huge babies and have no side effects, I highly recommended the ER, you take it only 2 x a day, I ran out one day before my pain doctor appt and am in excruciating pain in back and hips. Had no idea how well it was working until I am having to go 2 days without and about to DIE.

My doctor told me that my last drug screening came up positive for Opana ER. I have never taken Opana. How in the world could this have happened? I know many people won't believe me, but it's the truth. I'm just trying to figure out how this could happen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was switched to 100mg Morphine 2x a day only after 2-3 months is not doing anything after 4 hours for now HE switched me to Opana er 40mg 2x a day the morphine worked while i was at work taking it 1 hour before going to work(Chef) but as soon as my 6 hour shift was ending The pain has become unbearable,now with the opana er I am feeling bad pain during work,I really am not sure what I am Asking,basically has anyone who has severe chronic pain who has to work like me ,I just need some wisdom t

I was on morphine an kicked it. Opana was what I was taking. I have about 40 pills left and 12 days until refill but I don't want the refill. Any suggestions on how to kick this and the best way to keep the withdrawel effects down to a minimal? I can't miss work anymore and to be honest when I do I just sit around and think of the withdrawels. I have been on Effexor for 6 years for anxiety. Hi, Iknow it has been a few years since your post, i was wondering how you are doing on the Opana ER. I am switching from Opana 30 mg ER to Morphine 60 mg ER.The Opana gave me side effects, dizziness, being in withdrawl if I missed a dose, and it did not help my chronic pain.. I have tried many ER drugs and I am having a hard time finding many of them. Plus my breakthrough meds are also hard to find.

Hi, worried. For what little it's worth, I've been on Opana 40 mg. twice a day (ER-extended release) for about four months now. I feel that it's been the most effective of the ER drugs I've been prescribed, with only nominal side effects.. Cheers!

I am not sure from your post if you are on opana or opana ER, and how many times a day you are taking it. Would you clarify that, so I have an idea of where you are at. When we read these post, especially the rare few about Opana and/or Opana ER, it can be so frightening. This has caused so much fear in me, but I have tapered down a great deal. I find the hard thing about Opana ER is that it cannot be cut, so the drop is really significant.

So one day a guy gave me a few opana and my stupid *** decided to snort it and it was all downhill from there. I had read that when you snort pils it's ten times more potent and harder to kick. Is that true?

I was snorting at least 100mg a day in addition to taking at least 40mg ER orally. Bioavailability for Opana orally is horrid at 10%. Snorting brings it up to around 40%. I no longer take any ER after talking to my doctor last week and asking if it was ok to drop the ER instead of continuing to taper. He said it was fine as long as I thought I could handle the wd. I break my IR Opana into quarters, so I snort 8 bumps a day at 2.5mg each.

t know how many 5/325 mg Percocets you were taking a day before switching to the Opana ER 5 mg, but to have equivalent pain relief from the Opana ER, you had to have taken only 2 Percocets a day. If you were taking more than 2 Percocets a day then the switch to Opana ER 5 mg was a step down in terms of pain relieving strength.

I have been taking Opana ER 30mg. 3 times a day for several months. My doctor has moved to Alaska and gave me 3 months of prescriptions while I find another doctor. When I dropped off the 2nd prescription the pharmacy told me they have ordered Opana several times over the last month and the order has not come. I called every pharmacy in my town and they said the same thing. Tapering is out of the question, so I guess its time for me to stop taking it, and it will have to be cold turkey.

I used to take 30 mg of Opana ER twice a day but I switched to the Fentanyl patch last month. 30 mg of Opana ER is roughly 60 mg of oxycodone or 90 mg of morphine. 10 mg of Opana ER is roughly 20 mg of oxycodone or 30 mg of morphine. You are actually getting 5 mg less of oxycodone through the switch from percocet to Opana ER. However, since Opana ER is an entirely different opioid formulation.

i then moved to oxycodone , about 60-150mg i also take opana(oxymorphone) 40mg ER but i crush and snort them. when i was on here i took apprx. 12 10mg pills a day about 30mg at a time. now when i take 7 10mg pills i dont feel anything. is the increase in my tolerance going to vastly affect the withdrawal process in severity or length?

I am new to Opana Er and am taking 3 5 mgs a day. It is helping my quality of life but I am having headaches and still having breakthrough pain. I go back to my doctor next week and wonder if I need a different dose. Any ideas?

Hi ive been snorting opana 20mg for about 6 months... i started with 1 tab per day and now I snort 9 - 12 a day.. my throat is so sore my voice has changed and i always sound hoarse and i am so afraid that its too late for me... i would love to stop this but i am so addicted and i get extremely sick when i try to stop... can tappering even be done when you snort? please help me and i screwed here? i am a mom and i feel like such a fool for doing this...

Has anyone in here kicked opana? it's a relatively new drug i guess and really expensive. the only reason i can get it is cause my injury was work related and labor and industries is covering it. to say the least, they want me off, so i'm expecting to be cut off cold turkey,soon, and don't know what to expect.

At this point, I was about to toss the Opana ER and go back to the Morphine ER BUT before I did that, I researched more about Opana ER and discovered that it takes 3-4 days to reach a steady state level in the bloodstream so I decided to stick with it awhile longer.

You are taking Opana ER every 4-6 hours? Opana ER is meant to be taken every 12 hours, not every 4-6 hours. In fact, most insurance companies will not pay for extended release medications to be taken more than 2 times per day.
