ondansetron odt 8 mg

I was put on 50 mg of zoloft a month ago and have had nausea ever since. It seems like it's been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. Yesterday I was prescribed Ondansetron ODT 4mg. It doesn't seem to help. Will the nausea go away?

I never had hep A, but have considerable experience with nausea and vomiting, While on treatment for hep c these symptoms were almost continuous. Ondansetron is Zofran hun. Its just the generic name for zofran. Even though theres a lawsuit, id say its more of a money maker. I took it both pregnancies and my babies came out fine. Youve got to look at whether the benefits outweigh the risk with ANY medication. If youre miserable and need to eat for baby, take it. My advice is try to only take it when u really need it, not on a regular basis. Stop as soon as symptoms ease up. Lots of water too.

Ondansetron is the generic for Zofran. Why would you refuse it? It's safe to take or your Dr wouldn't prescribe it to you. There's other meds out there if you don't want to take it. My Dr gave me Diclegis. It helped take the edge off the nausea.

I take Zofran 8 mg every 8 hours. When I was on Incivek I took it about an hour before I was planning to eat and take my inc. Now that I am off Inc., I take it about an hour or hour and a half before my 8 am Riba, again late afternoon, and again about 9-10 pm. If I don't take it every 8 hours I am a lot more nauseated throughout the day and eve.

I was so nauseated like you for the first 12 weeks. My doctor prescribed me ondansetron 8 mg and it saved me! Maybe too much because I was able to eat so much!

And not to eat anything latter at night. Also I am taking ondansetron 4 mg, it says 1 every 8 hours or as needed for nausea and vomiting. But my problems is more cramping under my sternum, it becomes in the realm of 7-8 on a 1-10, pain scale. So I see no reason to take it, cramping seems to be different to me than nausea and vomiting, although at times my ribavirin does not want to stay down, this issue is also a relatively new problem.

I'm 32 weeks right now and I have been taking ondansetron to help with the nausea... And it helps out!!

ve tried Imitrex tablets, Zomig tablets and Maxalt ODT (orally disintegrating tablets). I will never take Imitrex again-50 mg gave me severe palpitations and chest pain; I thought I was going to die. Zomig and Maxalt both worked well when I took them (not together of course) but then they stopped working: it was almost like I developed a tolerance to them. I do remember the Maxalt ODT tasting weird and sometimes it would make my nausea worse.

I took 8 mg of Zofran every 8 hours. I did not wait to get nauseated or start vomiting (although when I started taking it I was nauseated, vomiting, and bloated. Once I got some on board, then I was able to prevent the nausea and vomiting by taking it every 8 hours. I don't see (in this blurb) how long it takes to work, but I don't think it takes long. I think it works pretty fast. It might take a couple of doses before it reaches full effect because you are already nauseated.

Btw mommynov26 what was the Med that was prescribed to you? I was prescribed Ondansetron ( vomikind 4 mg) but that cuauses headache and worsen the constipation.

You can try taking vomikind 4 mg (Ondansetron 4mg) I'm 13 weeks and my doctor prescribed me the same.

Hi am in my 13th week and is having bad nausea my doctor gave me this Ondansetron tables which helped a lot but am concerned about taking it. Any suggestions on should I take this medicine as it help me to work??

I have been taking Cymbalta now for 8 days. I have had very little side effects.Tonight, about 45 minutes ago, I felt like someone was taking my stomach and intestines and twisting them in a knot and then I became nauseated.
