Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?
My 4 yr.old son had an allergic reaction to Omnicef. Hives all over and swollen hands, arms and feet. It's been 18 days and still gets a slight case of the hives . Within the last week( 3 times) he's had leg pain(muscel pain) joint pain. He has a hard time walking, usually the next day he can, it lasts anywhere from 12-24 hours. The 3 times he's had the leg pain he's either been swimming or riding a bike, took him to the hospital, blood work, x-rays and urine all came back fine.
I've had ulcertive colitis for 3 year now, with medication my doc said all ulcers are gone and was amazed this happened in 6 weeks. However the urgency and skinny stools never went away. On and off medications b/c it came back,the bleeding, urgency, pus, etc. I still have in the morning for over a hour, running back and forth to the bathroom diarreah. Mostly orange in color, skinny and smells.
I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question,
wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.
I have swollen eyelids that come and go, almost like hives, but rarely itch. Can be one or several. On omnicef for sinus infection, but doctor doesn't think this is causing it. Before omincef had a sulfer type med that caused swelling in joints, sick stomach, rash, fever. Have been on Omicef 5 days. Started having strange raised bumps for three days that come and go. Will say that two weeks ago had actual hives around eyes and think it was caused from eye cream.
One day without anything in my life changing, emotionally or food wise I had a lot of noise in my stomach, on the left mostly then the next day diarrhea, and diarrhea ever since for four months now. I have seen a doctor and had a colonoscopy done, gall bladder ultrasound, blood tests, stool tests and found everything to be normal. The next test they will do will be on the stomach. I can't figure out why this would happen when I was feeling so normal and everything going well.

Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. If anyone knows or has heard their LLMD mention this please let me know. I just took my first dose of Flagyl, keeping my fingers crossed that I see some fantastic results!
I found what appears to be red coloring in the toilet after passing a stool for the last couple of days. I feel the same as normal, only the coloring in the water is kind of freaking me out. The actual stool itself appears fairly normal (with slight darkening from some Pepto I took for a night I ate more than I planned).
I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.
It's only a problem if it becomes hot, red, itchy like it's infected. Or if it presses so hard on nerves or circulation that you need relief.

Work involves constant exposure to end of life pts positive for many nosocomial infections). The next day her temperature just kept skyrocketing, getting up to 106. That night I took her to the ER at Children's in Dallas where they ran another strep test, mono, flu, and cbc. Her mono, strep, and flu all came back negative. Her white blood count was at 21. They gave her a shot of rocephin, told us to continue the omnicef, sent us home.
i used to get red spots on my penis head so i went to the phamacy and got Lotriderm the spots went off but i got burning sensation when i urinate,saw the Dr and he gave me Omnicef also followed up with a urine test and it showed that there were Pusscells rang 40 -50 ,the Burning sensation had gone but Dr.Priscribed Suprax 400mg. There is a slight white discharge only in the morning, Please advice.
When she developed this acrid mouth stench I took her in figuring a sinus infection. Well she had a barely red throat and the PA decided to check for strep which was positive. Never having dealt with strep I assumed the smell was from the bacteria of strep. The Amoxicillan they gave her did not work so we went back for Omnicef and after 2 doses of meds the smell was gone. Two weeks after meds the smell came back... back to the Dr. no strep... no answers....
