I found a lot of medications that I, personally have been on can cause weight loss and nausea - which really takes away your desire to eat. Maybe the medication he is on is causing him nausea or contributing to him not wanting much to eat. In turn making him feel quite sick. I threw up a lot on my medication and a long time after I had no appetite, and when I ate certain things I felt faint and vomited. Just a thought. Or it might be something else entirely. Take care!
So, I have been having a horrible burning pain in my stomach and no appetite, in addition to weight loss for 3 weeks. I decided to go to the ER on 1/23/17. The doctor asked me a checklist of questions and said I have gastritis, but did no exams. I was hesitant to take the omeprazole because he did no tests at all.
I recently joined *********** on line for weight loss help. I have been walking and documenting what I eat. I was surprised to find out how badly I was starving myself. I had a hard time just reaching the lowest end of the chart for the proper amount of nutrients. Which seems so odd how a person can be fat and not eat enough but it all revolves around metabolism. Well since I started getting the proper nutrition and eating 4 smaller meals a day I have felt better by far.
The breathing issues could be related to the GERD or could be a respiratory cause. Weight loss is something I am concerned about as well. It could occur due to symptomatic IBS or UGI issues, though I would suggest ruling out other possibilities like malabsorption, growths/ masses, hormonal/ endocrine/ metabolic issues, other systemic issues etc. The neurological issues could be related to nutrient deficiencies associated with malabsorption and would need to be considered.
t have the usual symptoms (nausea, vomiting, weight loss). In fact I have no symptoms at all. I take Omeprazole for acid reflux/hiatal hernia, and I take Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I also take Zetia every other day for cholesterol. All of these are working well, but I hope they are not the cause of my Gastroparesis. I don't want to take anymore medications, especially the ones that are given for Gastroparesis. Since I don't have the usual symptoms, do I really need medication for it?
I have been having symptoms of a Crohn's flare, severe nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss of 18 lbs in last 6 weeks,steatorrhea, pain in mid chest and right upper quadrant. Had CT scan 2 weeks ago which showed significant inflammation in terminal ileum and old pancreatitis with calcification. Gastroscopy last week showed oesphagitis.Biopsies taken. MRI scan Nov 2007 showed two strictures in small intestine.

I'm suffering from a kind of idiopathic illness which i have not been treated in spite of referring to many docs and taking many drugs(Reglan,Dompridon, Digestive enzymes, Cudinium c,Omeprazole).my problem is that i can't digest foods well ,and foods remain in my stomach too long so i can't eat enough foods during the day(i have already been underweight and continue to loss weight) i have no pain,no reflux, no heartburn, no vomiting ,no nausea.
As pain increases, heart rate and therefore blood pressure increases as well. Have you ever had thyroid studies done, any weight loss recently unexplained, Does the heat intolerance occur at any other times? What I'm getting at is a possible hyperthyroid state. Intolerance to heat, weight loss that is unexplained, irritability, fast heart rate, etc., all occur with being hyperthyroid.
severe nausea, total lack of appetite, steatorrhea, weight loss 14 lbs, lower abdominal pain, near constipation (have had Crohn's 28 yrs and always have had diarrhea), upper right quadrant pain after eating only a yoghurt, radiating to armpit, shoulder and neck. Saw GP 4 weeks ago - prescribed omeprazole. Got urgent appt 2 weeks ago with gastro,prescribed domperidone for nausea, doubled omeprazole.CT scan 6/26 pancreas,liver abdomen,pelvis. Upper GI endoscopy 7/99 July.
Appetite and weight loss are other symptoms. Persons with duodenal ulcers may experience weight gain because the persons eats more to ease discomfort. Recurrent vomiting, blood in the stool and anemia are other symptoms.

Since then i have been taking medicine for acid reflux (acid coming up, shortness of breath and tight chest), I am on Omeprazole 20mg once a day. For about the last 2 weeks i have had a gland up in my armpit as well as aches in my forearms and lower legs (not all the time, I get it more when i am resting).
I've had a private medical which all bloods etc came back fine, apart from i am over weight.
t digest foods normally and they are remaining in my stomach too long , no pain, nausea, vomiting, bloating, reflux,(common symptoms of gp) just feeling full and lack of appetite many times ,so I have had remarkable weight loss within 5 months ,and I mostly live on liquids and soups.There was no problems in my endoscopies, CT Scan spirals,and lab tests.
My 16 year old daughter has been suffering since April 2015 with constant nausea (but not being sick), acid reflux, dizziness, fatigue and slow weight loss (appetite was okay) it came on all of a sudden.
She was admitted with suspected appendicitis in the September 2015 as she was having bad stomach pains/cramps sickness with a high temperature but it was diagnosed as mesenteric adenitis on a ultrasound scan. She has had a couple more episodes a few months later but never went to hospital.
