Okay guys, buckle up...let me take you for a ride.
A little about me. I'm 32. I was diagnosed with GERD a year and a half ago. I was put on Omeprazole. Other than that I've always been healthy. I workout 5-6 times a week. Before a month or two ago, my diet wasn't the best...but it was better than it was as the GERD forced me to stop caffeine, lower the amount of deep fried foods I ate, etc.
My main issues seem to have all kinda began about 3 months ago.

The reason for pain may be an injury. Youmight have hurt yourself while playing. Otherwise, the muscle in that area might have strained while playing. The possibility of splenic injury is very thin. It does not last this long without any other symptoms.
If the pain and tingling persists despite taking mild analgesica, then you may contact your GP.

weird flushing feeling across my back up the shoulders, finger and toes numbess and tingling, muscle spasms and charlie horses at night. I was not feeling well at all. Stil have some of these when i have a flare or deal with med adjustments. Oh yeah , and pretty severe nausea on and off for over a year.
so I see a doctor and he give me Omeprazole 20mg twice a day for 2 weeks and rebamipide for 5 days twice a day for Peptic ulcer.It just give me temporary relief so on 9 days,I see a another doctor again and gave me same perception for 20 days of omey own a day and rebamipide for another 5 days,3x asay. July 26 is my last day of taking the medicine.But a week before I finish my medication,I start to feel losing muscles strength.
Following a valve replacement and triple bypass I was discharged from Hospital with a number of drugs and a new one being Omeprazole. I did not know why it was prescribed but after a number of months taking it I decided after discussion with my Doctor to stop taking it. A few months later through the night I got this terrible chest pain on a scale of 1-10 I guess it was 7-8.
At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and have been taking omeprazole twice a day every day for a few months (I had been on Prevacid for several years before the omeprazole but insurance won't cover it any more). If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole.
is omeprazole a nercotic pain killer? i know some medications that may b addicting so i thought i would double check..also i had seen that u can take in an i.v is this true and if so how?
I keep forgetting to take my omeprazole dr 20 mg 30 minutes before meals, can I take it after the meal.
Hi, Do you think a different manufacturer, could possibly make a slightly diffrent product,or maybe a different coating ? that could change the makeup of Omeprazole, or any other product for that matter.
Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?
After having a throat infection for 13 years (Lingual Tonsillitis which has irritated the hyoid bone), I found an ENT who diagnosed me and put me on a few medications to bring down the inflammation. I was put on Prednisone for 14 days, Augmentin and generic Prilosec/omeprazole 20mg. As of a week ago wed the inflammation was down 75% and I was feeling much better after being sick for so long.
Im 34 and pretty healty. The only drugs i take is one Omeprazole daily for heartburn.(started about a month ago) For the past 14 days I have been having issues with my penis. Its not STI related as Iv not had any sexual experience in over 6 years and that was protected and wasnt even full intercourse. No issues before or since until now.

I went to my doctor yesterday for a check up as I have been feeling some things in my body lately. First is my left arm, when I out it up I have that tingling feeling, and numbness at times, that goes through the whole hands. And then there's me getting weak, I feel like I am bloated and I will have a hard time in the toilet. Then I have this thing in my throat, as if I am loaded with phleghm and I will have a hard time burping and I feel as if my throat's being blocked.
Pylori breathe test all of which came back with normal results. I was diagnosed with GERD and given omeprazole which never really helped worked and now im trying ranitidine instead. my symptoms began after a year of monthly tonsillitis which i was on antibiotics for each occasion - after this ended i began getting nausea and it has steadily gotten worse. I have literally no social life because even when i feel reasonably well im too nervous to go out and i do suffer from anxiety because of it.
I do a lot of martial arts and wrestling and often wake up with neck pain, but lately I have been getting odd tingling/sudden small shocks trough out my body however i am not sure if they are brought on from severe anxiety as i am convinced something is seriously wrong. The Dr. checked my vision and balance etc. and said not to worry about the major things these symptoms could be on the internet. However, I am completely scared now it is something serious as the blood tests seem to be normal.
Since then, my hands have started tingling and my hands and arms fall asleep at night. The bilateral tingling is 24/7. I have experienced an odd sensation like icy-hot across my biceps and chest, then a few days later, it moved to my lower lip, tongue, right cheek, back of my head, down my shoulder and a little down my right side of my back. It has faded a little but my bikini area went numb for a few days, and my lower lip is still numb.
the type A migraines with all the neurological side effects. Now I am starting to experience numbness and tingling i my hands and feet and arms and legs. It happens every day at least 5-10 times aa day and may have nothing todo with my migraines, but it is very uncomfortable and frustrating. GERD too causes dizzy spells. Omeprazole is a good drug to combat this. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. However I would recommend you see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision. Avoid heavy meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food.
Last month my gastro doctor upgraded my omeprazole from 20mg to 40mg - mainly because my insurance company doesn't cover omeprazole 20mg anymore because it is available over the counter. So I have been taking 40mg once a day for about a month. Lately my stomach has been feeling a little queasy with bloated gas. I'm wondering if I'm getting too much omeprazole and may have too little acid.
I'm currently taking lexapro for anxiety & depression and Omeprazole for Gerd and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My doctor said the benefIt's outweigh the risks but I'm reading some really scary defects online and I'm wondering if anyone here has had good/bad experiences with them?
