Avatar n tn ve stayed with it the longest. My question is regarding the side effects. Occasionally I will notice an internal restless feeling -- usually lasts a few days. It's almost like I feel kind of antsy. My sleep is not disturbed -- I sleep normal as usual. I've also noticed, and have in the past, that I have some twitches. Various muscles in my body will twitch from time to time.

4862508 tn?1360796307 I've been taking magnesium glycinate for over a year and haven't noticed any side effects. It's hard for me to see how chelated magnesium could cause cardiac pains, but maybe what you are experiencing is acid indigestion from the amino acid component. You could try magnesium oxide, but it tends to cause loose bowels. Regardless of how or why the magnesium taureate is causing your side effect symptoms, it sounds like it's not going to work well for you or your mom.
Avatar n tn Here it is January 2014 and I am pretty sure I have one of the possible side affects of taking omeprazole, severe itchy skin. Twice in the last month I stopped taking it for a few days and believe I even had a withdrawal side affect. This was when I was just falling to sleep it felt like I could not breath. The first time I went to the ER and had various test performed which all came back negative. The second time occurred about 4 days ago when I stopped taking omeprazole again.
Avatar n tn Hi. I'm on my 12th week. I've been diagnosed before with GERD. Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Anyone here experienced the same?
1364792 tn?1278051187 I started taking omeprazole for acid reflux but stopped it after reading about the side effects, anemia as it takes out vitamin b12,broken bones as it takes out calcium and a risk of severe cold infections as it takes out vitamin c.A local doctor links acid reflux with anemia,so I started taking multi vits with iron and the acid reflux disappeared.
Avatar f tn Three common side effects of omeprazole are nausea, mild diarrhea, and headache. Omeprazole also lists as possible side effects, though not common, of constipation, depression and anxiety. I remember getting a nasty headache while on omeprazole myself, unlike my usual migraines. The doctor suggested I go off of the drug, see if the headache stopped and go back on it to see if it started up again.

Statins deplete CoQ10 as does simple aging. B12 sublingual may help along with taking a B complex. Most if not all medications deplete vital nutrients like Metformin reduces B12. Look into nutrients depleted by medications. You may find out that many of our medical problems are just nutrient deficiencies or are out of balance.

1366202 tn?1277990898 Dexamethasone will have a lot of side effects. You do need to talk to your doc - but it will interfere with your sleep. Dex is a corticosteroid - a powerful one - and taking it will reduce your immune system as well as your inflammatory responses. The anxiety is from the med - you may be getting a bit of Cushing's syndrome with your meds. I would speak to the doc about lessening the meds a tad bit or spreading them out.
Avatar n tn t answer other that to say do a search here and/or on the web for side effects of omepraole. If that is a possible side effect discuss with your prescribing doctor you may be able to get help from some other medication.
