I'm currently taking lexapro for anxiety & depression and Omeprazole for Gerd and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My doctor said the benefIt's outweigh the risks but I'm reading some really scary defects online and I'm wondering if anyone here has had good/bad experiences with them?
Before I try a prescription med that others use for the excessive sweating problem, I would like to rule out current meds. Does anyone with this problem take Benicar or Lexapro or Omeprazole?.

Following a valve replacement and triple bypass I was discharged from Hospital with a number of drugs and a new one being Omeprazole. I did not know why it was prescribed but after a number of months taking it I decided after discussion with my Doctor to stop taking it. A few months later through the night I got this terrible chest pain on a scale of 1-10 I guess it was 7-8.
At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and have been taking omeprazole twice a day every day for a few months (I had been on Prevacid for several years before the omeprazole but insurance won't cover it any more). If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole.
is omeprazole a nercotic pain killer? i know some medications that may b addicting so i thought i would double check..also i had seen that u can take in an i.v is this true and if so how?

Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?
Hello there. I would say continue following the instructions upon your prescription until you see your doctor again. If Prozac has noticably helped you that's good but i do know of other anti-depressants that are more focused on anxiety. If it comes down to it you may ask your doctor about Buspirone and/or Lexapro. I'm sensitive to anti-depressants Lexapro has seemed to help a bit and ive taken Buspirone (Buspar) for 4 days now noticing some improvement.
II work full time and am in school for my masters full time as well and cant deal with anymore issues. I am on Topomax for migraines as well as lexapro, priolosec, nuvigil, and occasionally hydrocodine for shoulder pain and Klonapin for anxiety attacks... so I wonder if this is a side effect of one of those medications or something mixing. Please let me know if you have any suggestions because I'm freaking out here.
Last month my gastro doctor upgraded my omeprazole from 20mg to 40mg - mainly because my insurance company doesn't cover omeprazole 20mg anymore because it is available over the counter. So I have been taking 40mg once a day for about a month. Lately my stomach has been feeling a little queasy with bloated gas. I'm wondering if I'm getting too much omeprazole and may have too little acid.

I have been desperately trying to quit Omeprazole for the last 5 years but have had so much problem with extreme acid release it seems I'll be with it for my life. Of course noone knows yet the result of taking omeprazole for a lifetime, mice had cancer after weeks but human might as well after decades. I can't replace omeprazole with ranitidine, as the latter doesn't seem to work at all. I've been able to lower the dose to about one 20mg in two days but not more.
I have to stop omeprazole two weeks before a blood test to see if i have coeliac. Previous blood tests shoe that i'm anaemic & have low vitamin b12 levels. Does anyone know how long omeprazole take before it gets out of your system.

My doctor says I have esophagitis, and prescribed for me 20 mg omeprazole for 4 weeks.
I am taking it now for 6 days and don't see any improvement yet.
The drug reviews say it usually takes up to 4 days to feel better. Is this the case, or may it take longer time to see results?

6 Months ago I went to the doctor for the feeling of shortness of breath, When I inhaled I couldn't get a full breath. I had Hyperventilation Syndrome as I think its called.
I went to the doctor and had several tests including Ectocardiogram, Chest X-ray, Blood test, Breathing test and a few others. They all came out Nothing was wrong. After that I went to the psychiatrist Because my Doctor told me it was probably Anxiety but I didn't feel as it was the cause.
Then I started having pounding and what felt like my heart was stopping and restarting. My doctor started me back on Lexapro or a generic that was like Lexapro sorry I can’t remember the name. This didn’t work for me this time, we doubled the dosage and still had the new and odd symptoms… the palpitations that at the time I didn’t know or understand. I stopped the Lexapro.
So FINALY I get told what was going on with my heart.
