i have this and i feel extremely tired too,my doctor has prescribed me omeprazole i takes one in the morning,it is a build up of gastro in the body and these tablets heps you not to feel this way when eating,also avoid fizzy drinks when possible and things like alchol.hope this helps.
Sorry this is going to be a long one. It all started one day at work. I was driving to a job and felt a pressure in my chest. Considering my family's history of heart disease I took this very seriously and went to the ER right away despite the fact I'm only 29. They did all sorts of tests including one they said meant they were 99% sure I did not have a heart attack. Despite this the slight pressure in my chest has continued ever since.

My 4 year old son has been prescribed 20mg omeprazole for unknown stomach pain. I heard that PPIs such as this can increase the risk of pneumonia and he has a horrible chest cold. cough right now, should I discontinue taking this medication until this passes? Are the chances of it turning into pneumonia greater if he is on omeprazole? Or is this risk factor only for prolong use?
I was having panic attacks which caused me to have a little bit of acid reflux one time so my doctor prescribed me a generic form of omeprazole to take twice daily 20mg 2x a day, I took it for over 2 months, and within the 2 months my anxiety and panic got worse to the point where when I would try to eat my heart would race and put me in a panic attack. This drug seemed to have increased my anxiety/panic attacks.
Following a valve replacement and triple bypass I was discharged from Hospital with a number of drugs and a new one being Omeprazole. I did not know why it was prescribed but after a number of months taking it I decided after discussion with my Doctor to stop taking it. A few months later through the night I got this terrible chest pain on a scale of 1-10 I guess it was 7-8.
At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and have been taking omeprazole twice a day every day for a few months (I had been on Prevacid for several years before the omeprazole but insurance won't cover it any more). If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole.
is omeprazole a nercotic pain killer? i know some medications that may b addicting so i thought i would double check..also i had seen that u can take in an i.v is this true and if so how?

Hi, Do you think a different manufacturer, could possibly make a slightly diffrent product,or maybe a different coating ? that could change the makeup of Omeprazole, or any other product for that matter.
Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?
He was diagnosed with CHF, coronary artery disease, hypersensitive heart disease, cardiomayopathy, artic atherosclerosis. The dr prescribed spirolactone, omeprazole, amiodarone, furosemide, carvedilol, and lisinopril. They released him to hospice care. I know it means end stage CHF, My dad has been having problems with low blood pressure (85/49), constant headache and dizziness, in which he fell the other day.

iam 30, having burn in my stomach for the last 10 years associated with headache and is aggravated by taking meal...i have done endoscopy H pylori ...they were normal....now wAt shd i do......i wl be thankful if u suggest a prescription...
Three days ago I ran into a light poll while I was running and blacked out for just a few minutes. I came to and my roommate tried keeping me concious, but I don't remember any of our interactions or even what had happen until they told me the next day. I have pain and bruising above my left eye and slightly under it. I'm a smoker, and two days later I noticed smoking making my stomach feel kind of unsettling and giving me a slight headache. This has never happened before.
I take ranitidine 150 mg twice a day myself. Omeprazole gave me a lousy headache. You might also try small frequent meals. In case you are gum chewing, that can stimulate saliva production. I think maybe the doctor would have to be feeling your throat from the outside and having you swallow to detect thyroid nodules. My dad recently had an ultrasound since his throat has been bothering him and they found multiple nodules on his thyroid.
I was having nausea and mid back pain went to doc said sinus infection but not feeling sinus pain. I have been on antibiotic for week still have some headache, midback pain, nausea all the time. Last Sunday I started getting a headache. And it still has not gone away. The next day I felt lightheaded and nausea. Tuesday and Wed. I felt fine except for the headache. Is it possible to have a reverse reaction to Nexium / omeprazole? It never really made the symptoms of my recently diagnosed hiatal hernia caused reflux (lump in throat, mostly) go away. It seemed to help for 2 weeks, but after 1 month it seemed to aggravate GERD symptoms. I am reading a lot on the subject, experimenting with diet and relaxation and the occasional spoonful of Maalox. I relate to the person who said they felt fine until after the endoscopy.
