Avatar f tn Take omeprazole (empty stomach in morning) and antacid gel and see if it helps. Liver and kidney dysfunction is another cause. Hence kidney and liver function tests should be done. Other causes are diabetes and hypothyroidism. Electrolyte imbalance too can cause nausea. IBS, gluten or lactose intolerance, parasites in gut too can be the cause. A stool test should be done for worms, giardiasis etc. Also if nothing is found then food challenge test to detect food intolerance should be done.
Avatar f tn These issues began 5 years ago during the same week I took antibiotics for suspected Lyme disease. I take omeprazole for acid reflux. Have seen gastro and endocrine drs with nothing that jumps out as abnormal. I posted once before but the symptoms changed in that initially no vomit now, I almost always vomit . Then it goes away . I think oatmeal an issue but no one else seems to think the trigger . It’s like something gets irritated or inflamed and the quiets down.
Avatar f tn Nausea off and on but no vomiting. My throat feels scratchy like when catching a cold and I have a non-productive cough. I am really dizzy when sitting or standing after lying down. Breathing seems labored at times but not short of breath. I am taking omniprazole(sp). Should I be concerned about this? I had biopsy which was negative for malignacy but shows mild chronic esophagitis.

Avatar n tn Now in February 2016, I am having severe heartburns and no appetite at all. I am vomiting even small amounts of food. And my oesophagus feels significantly narrowed. I am taking PPIs (Omeprazole) from last 4 months but they are not helping. I had an endoscopy in early November and it showed everything was normal. Could anyone please help me with my condition?
Avatar m tn At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed 40mg Omeprazole, but bought the 20mg Omeprazole over the counter and have been taking 2 each morning instead. It ha been 3 days (and three doses) and I have had EXTREME severe diarrhea. My stomach is nonstop gurgling, I can't keep anything down, and I am constantly in and out of the bathroom even throughout the night. The gurgling is so intense it wakes me up from sleep. I did some research online and read that Omeprazole can cause Hepatitis and liver issues.
Avatar f tn I have had a constant dull upper and mid right quadrant pain for the last 5 months. The pain is more of an annoyance and sometimes hurts when I bend or twist my body. Sometimes, it feels like gnawing or pinching. No nausea or vomiting. No significant changes in bowel movements. I’ve had IBS for over 10 years so nothing out of the ordinary. I thought maybe it was the gallbladder or appendix at first, however, I’m not quite sure. I’ve been to my primary three times for the issue.
Avatar f tn I have severe vomiting, nausea and headaches. I am currently on omeprazole 40mg , I take 1 pill a day in the morning. My throat still feels as if food is stuck in there and my throat feels as if my throat was burnt severely and now it's sore. My stomach hurts, i constantly keep relieving gas. I would like some advice to what I should eat to make me feel better. Especially because of the vomiting & gas. I don't have insurance or else i would check myself into the hospital.
Avatar f tn After weeks of non-stop nausea/vomiting, my GI prescribed omeprazole. Unfortunately, it didn’t help. Fast forward a few days, I underwent an endoscopy, which yielded abnormal findings: 15 eos/hpf needed to diagnoses EoE. That aside, what treatments have worked for you? PPIs, corticosteroids, dupixent, elimination diet? I’m open to suggestions.

Avatar n tn Woke up at 3am with bad cramps and after a while I started vomiting. I noticed while vomiting I am blacking out and coming back. A few minutes after the black out and vomiting it's hard to move. My head is hurting very bad, and I'm sweating but my body is cold if you know anything please let me know. Please, if anyone think I should go to the ER, let me know.
Avatar f tn I decided not to experiment and have stuck to the omeprazole. Would it be better to take both of these medication at the same time? I have had an upper endoscopy, ercp, ultrasound, MRI (head). Blood tests. Nothing has come back except for mild gastritis and my spleen was slightly enlarged (is normal now). I have never had any issues until my gallbladder attack in oct. Since the removal in november I have not felt myself.
Avatar m tn I am going to have to wait another 2 weeks for results and am back taking the omeprazole but my stomach is constanlty bloating up after eating. Is this a side effect of the tablets?? i have been taking these tablets 6 weeks in total but i am stil suffering severly with bloating and my stomach is constanlty rumbling. Does this sound like h pylori or does anyone else suffer sever bloating from these omeprazole tablets.
Avatar m tn Consult a gynecologist to rule out hormonal imbalance and PCOD. A day before your period is supposed to end, start Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. See if this helps. Take care!

974371 tn?1424653129 t feel right Now, dealing with bad upset stomach issues, no vomiting but feel nauseated and bloated. Wake up during the night sweating and upset stomach will continue all day. I take Omeprazole twice a day, low dose Xanax and using Pepto Bismol. GI doc not diagnosing just treating symptoms. Prescribed some med but my insurance won't cover it. Also have phlegm, thick, I can sometimes hack up, constantly clearing my throat.
Avatar n tn t have the usual symptoms (nausea, vomiting, weight loss). In fact I have no symptoms at all. I take Omeprazole for acid reflux/hiatal hernia, and I take Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I also take Zetia every other day for cholesterol. All of these are working well, but I hope they are not the cause of my Gastroparesis. I don't want to take anymore medications, especially the ones that are given for Gastroparesis. Since I don't have the usual symptoms, do I really need medication for it?
