The dizziness resembled being carsick, with lightheadedness and occasional moments of nausea and feeling faint (but I never passed out). I had a CAT scan and blood work twice, and so far no diagnosis for the dizziness/fatigue. It got better for a few weeks but last week I began to have dizzy spells again, this time accompanied by maxillary sinus pressure. I had just switched allergy medications, from Nasonex to generic Flonase, right at the time my symptoms returned.

none of the over the counter antiacids worked so I went to my gastroenterologist and he said that I have GERD. He prescribed OMEPRAZOLE daily (before the heaviest meal taken-which for me is dinner-I take it 1/2 hour before dinner) and it is supposed to last me 24 hours of relief.

My doctor has informed that I have a stomach ulcer and I am on omeprazole to reduce the stomach acid and help heal the ulcer but I read that bile reflux needs to be sorted as it can lead to other problems. Does anyone know of any medication that can help sort this or is an operation needed to move the bile duct? If so, has anyone had this done and was it successful?
My doctor prescribed another PT, urine specimin, and complete blood count. Diagnosis was an infection in my prostate and an INR of 10 (ten). My question: Is it possible to go from 3 to 10 in three weeks with no diet change? The only possibilty I can think of, is the addition of 50 mg per day of Atenolol for blood pressure, 3 or 4 days before this problem began. By the way, I stopped the Atenolol.
My chest became extremely wheezy and I was having a terrible time sleeping. So back to the doctors I went and this was at the three month stage. He listened to my chest and heard the wheeze and prescribed me asthma steroid spray, along with a steroid nasal spray and antihistimines (for mild hayfever which I suffer with) . He gave me a peak flow diary and tester. (Which I have been using ever since..
I have had chronic bacterial infections in my sinuses, tonsels and throat for the past two months and have been on many rounds of antibiotics, my infections are gone but I was left with a strong deep cough and now phlegm and swelling in my throat. No doctors have been able to tell me what it could be, my ear nose throat specialist said it was most likely acid reflux disease, but I don't buy that.
5 mg of Coumadin per day to maintain an INR of between 2.5 and 3.5. I had to be hospitalized twice in the first 6 months post surgery. Once for a Basal Ganglion Infarction, from which I recovered completely and once simply to be placed on Heparin due to a low INR. I have been ok since then. I would like to get rid of this valve. Are there any other options availible to me? Have there been any advances in cloned valves? As a young, active person I am not sure an animal valve is the answer.

When it happened on my lip, it swelled to the size of a grape and the Benadryl took FOREVER to kick in. Anyway, I went to the doctor this morning and she said swelling like this (tongue, lips) is called angiodema. She said if I continue to expose myself to this allergen (whatever it may be) the next stage could be anaphylaxis. I'm really scared. I have 2 little kids and I'm terrified of something happening. I can't avoid the allergen if I don't know what it is.:( Please help.
aspx), and grapefruit juice. Watch TV on your belly- Recliners usually tilt back to full where you can put your feet above your head. Turn around instead and stretch out your neck out. Rest it on your hands and breathe nice and easy. Use some pillows to cushion anything you need to. This does more wonders for your body than just your throat.. Sleep on your other side- Most of us are side-sleepers. Ever wonder though if the side you prefer to sleep on is the side being infected the most?
I'm a 43 year old male with a long history of stomach issues. I take prilosec daily and have no idea what a "normal" bowel movement resembles. Sour stomach, cramps, reflux and soft stools are just a part of life for me and I've been able to lead a fairly normal and mobile life in spite of these issues. Six weeks ago, I went to work and took one of my kids w/me. He loves going to the office for some reason and he had nothing better to do on this particular summer day.

I think I/we can guess or prognose just as well or better than they can at times particularly if we know something about health and or ourselves and our own health. Never be afraid to speak up because I feel strongly that digestive tract problems are real and translate into other real nasty symptoms like this. Fortunately we can prevent much of this & need to prevent it from happening.
I am going in next week for a ct scan of my throat, I've had tons of other tests done and they can't find anything but reflux. None of the meds for that has worked. Just curious, do you have a dog or cat? My doctor ran allergy tests on me and says I'm allergic to animals (I've had them my whole life too) anyway your body can start to have a reaction to your allergies and create a thick mucus in throat. Now......if I knew that was the case I'd just deal with it, but still uncertain.
i am 26 years old i have 3 kids to look after but i feel like i can't do anything right anymore i am nauseated all day very dizzy no matter what i may be doing i have even gotten so dizzy while i was alseep that it woke me up and imedeiately upon waking vomiting i am so tired of the doctors saying it's because you are overweight ,your just stressed or it's all in your head i have begged to have ct /mri's done they respond with well i think you may have vertigo lets send you to a ear doctor i jus
This forum has provided a post of drug interactions and the problem with coumadin is that it reacts with hundreds of drugs and some of them increase its effects and some decrease it effects. It is worth looking at the older posts to get that information and understand it. You job as patient is to monitor your INR or protime levels. If they are too low, it could cause a clot. If they are too high you could have bleeding.
A throat specialist went down with a scope and said everything was normal. My doctor diagnosed allergy or sinus problems, and possible asthma, and put me on antihistamines and an asthma inhaler. None of it worked. Then she put me on Claritin D and it seemed to work for at least a year. Then it came back again and she put me on a different brand of Claritin D-like medication. Nothin'. Then I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux. They put me on Prevacid which worked again, for about a year.
I've had about every test you can imagine ran and they come up with nothing. There has got to be a reason for this pain and someway to manage it. Are you presently taking any meds for this condition? Thanks again, I'm sorry you have the same problem but I'm glad to know that someone else knows what I'm going through and understands.
I can be in the shower or laying in bed and the smell won't go away, it smells like i'm in an enclosed garage with a gas powered vehicle running. Is this common?, I have never had any allergies.
