Unfortunately my panic attacks, make my chest and arms tense up, and during the day my chest almost consistently hurts, sharp and dull pains in the middle and left part of my chest, and in my spine, also running down into my elbows and fingers. sometimes my fingers will go numb, sometimes the chest pain turns into a 1 or 3 quick shocks and then go away. I've seen alot of the doctor lately and they usually just tell my i'm fine, any idea what could be causing this or if its need for concern.
Pain over my left breast started just after I told a man I love very much that I was perfectly happy we were breaking up. Doctors now diagnose something called "broken heart syndrome" where people that suffer a sudden loss can have a heart attack because the brain releases adrenaline and other chemicals that stun the heart.
I have been having a sharp burning pain in my upper back mostly on the left side by the shoulder blade. At times my neck and left arm are effected too. The pain is present upon rising and lasts throughout the day. I am concous of my posture and do not believe it to be the cause. The pain worsens if i am carring anything at arms lengths or even if i am carring a light bag over either of my shoulders.
The past few days I've experienced nerve pain all throughout my body more specifically in my legs and arms, muscle spasms, no appetite, a few dry coughs, diarrhea, I've been really weak and fatigued also, I had an ER visit last night and all they did was give me Ativan to calm me down, then I felt normal for a few hours. Does that mean all of this could be anxiety related? Or could these be signs of HIV?
(For example, both omeprazole and Voltaren interferred with my periods.) I went back on the Sinequan and Inderal and the tremors immediately started to quiet down. Now, only four days into the therapy, they have almost stopped. Most of you will NOT be as sensitive to medication as I am and this may not be the problem for all of you or the solution. My point is--don't let ANYONE tell you it's psychosomatic if you, yourself, know it isn't!
i feel dizzy for days before, then out of nowhere my whole body tenses up and burns and feels like pins and needles. i feel detached from reality and really scared that i'm dying. they are horribly painful. i've had a ct scan, mri, extensive epileptic workups, heart checked out. hormones tested. since these attacks my emotional state has declined and i have become severly depressed and detached from everything. its hard to find pleasure in anything anymore.
I went back to the doctor, and they told me it was probably GERD. I said okay, and got the prescription of omeprazole filled and began taking it. Well, 3 days into taking the omeprazole I began experiencing a light headed type feeling, not to the point where I thought I was going to pass out, but certainly to the point where I knew something wasn't right. So I went home and went to my family doctor at my hometown, where she told me it seems like a sinus infection.
I aske if it would affect my heart stuff he said no. So of course I read the inserts and the omeprazole said sides effects and palps is one of them. Then the other one he wanted me try if that didnt work is aciphex and it says it can cause nsvt.. Well geezzzzzzzzzz. So now im so freaked I wont take them. The problems that were going on with your husband was terrible, but I am so glad to hear his problems are finally starting to subside and he's getting back to a more normal condition. Yes, you are correct about Ativan, it can be addictive. I've taken it about 15-20 years now myself, and I believe if it works, it's well worth the possibility of addiction. LOL without mine my anxiety is terrible, and I'd probably get locked up for murder LOL.
I went from one Ativan every 4 days to 3 or 4 per day (but this was because my anxiety was intensifying imo) before my SSRI kicked in more and more peach day and I eventually dropped off the Ativan doses to zero. My first SSRI couldn't give any efect after 4 pm and everything owuld go grey and black again but the second one gave a noticeable effect in the second week. .

I try taking some Ativan that my mom gave me 0.5mg to try and help relax but I'm not sure if it's helping and I don't want to start dosing on something my doctor hasn't approved. What the hell is wrong with me?
acid reflux/GERD diagnosis, prescribed daily omeprazole and tums as needed - no effect on coughing problem. Allergist - the pneumonia/bronchitis wiped out my immune system and I am now testing positive to allergies for nearly everything, has tried me on 3 different types of allergy pills and I have been getting immunity shots twice a week for a year - no impact on the violent cough and mucous spit up from drinking water.
I had went back to the er 3 days ago and the dr looked at me and told me I was clearly hyperventilating. He gave me a shot of Ativan 2mg and sent me home with a prescription of .25mg Xanax. I remember them giving the shot, and waking up at home, but nothing in between. I just remember still feeling like I haven't rested in weeks even after that shot.

Vyvanse (for chronic fatigue), Omeprazole, Topiramate, Baclofen (both pain meds), Lorazepam (Ativan - anti-anxiety), Ambien. Interferon (a form of chemo) is the main med for Hep C that I treated with. New patients are lucky as they are trying to do away with it as it is so damaging! Back when I treated the usual was, at the longest, 42 weeks but due to a lab error I was on treatment for 72 weeks! Ribavirin is the other main med. It is a booster med to the interferon.

My husband took me to the ER and of course after many tests it was a severe panic attack. I got a shot of Ativan and a RX for Xanax and went home . That was 10 years ago. I still have panic attacks and I am scared to death to travel outside my "comfort" zone. I missed my son's college graduation as I could not travel that far ( I was so afraid ) It is not a easy condition that we must deal with everyday but we do. With the help of my Dr.
feel like I am going to die, it comes also into my back, take bental, and pentasa......and if that doesn't work, take ativan, and eventually, something will work.....I do feel like I am going to die, had ct scan yesterday, the radiologist said afterward "good luck" - what did he mean by that? will find out friday.
People are now tellin me it's in my head and I know that it's not possible. I have even taken ativan when i feel really sick and I still feel the same. Now i do know I have some sort of acid reflux because I get heart burn constantly and it used to wake me up in the middle of the night all the time until I started sleeping with 3 to 4 pillows a night propped up. I have tried previcid, tums, mylanta, and I am still nautious.
Hi, I have just been reading all of your posts and I just want to tell you that I throught the same thing about 5 years ago. I smoked marijuana for the 1st time in 3 years and I had a SEVERE anxiety attack. My pulse jumped to 200 BPM, I was lightheaded, nauseous...I thought I was going to die and no one would take me to the hospital since I had drugs in my system. Well this feeling lasted for months.....not the high pulse rate but the feeling that I was going to die.
I am starting to get better now that the only symptoms I currently suffer with are more physical tension and heart rate increase. I currently take 5 mg of Buspar twice a day and .5 mg of ativan daily. I am currently trying to get off the meds but am afraid the symptoms will come back.
I have been very anxious about the svt episodes and the ablation procedure. My doctor has me on 20 mg. of Paxil for anxiety and .75 mg. of Ativan. I have read that anticoagulants should be prescribed with caution if one is taking Paxil. If, for some reason, I need an anticoagulant during or after my ablation (for blood clot for instance), will I be in jeopardy since I am taking the Paxil? Thank you. Dear dlb, I don't know of any interactions between blood thinners and Paxil.

Time and lots of ativan and steroids has helped. No one had any real answers for me so I am so glad I found you. I will buy supplements before going home. I will ask about a muscule relaxer to take when I get chest colds. I will monitor my GERD much better. This was so scarey and thank you all for your comments. I feel so much better about this.
