Avatar f tn m also taking a daily multivitamin, an omega-3 capsule, a vitamin E capsule, and occasionally Aleve or some NSAID to help with my Plantar Fasciitis. My knees have been hurting due to weight gain (went from 230-257 before I recently decided enough was enough) so that's why I started the Omega-3's. Am I ok to continue taking these?
Avatar f tn Vitamin E is found in all whole grain sources, wheat germ; and omega 3 are in nuts, fish, teas, flaxseed, and egg to name a few. Plus you get the added benefit of the fiber.

Started to take as well coQ10 from nurtycology and I am doing 45 min light running every other day. People see me and tell me that I am no longer swollen!!! So I hope it will be helpful to you.
Avatar f tn Omega 3 supplement has really helped my rosacea (red spots on face and neck) so maybe it would help you too. Started Udos oil in a smoothie a few weeks ago and can't say enough about it... in addition to my skin looking better, my appetite for snack food, sugar and alcohol have all but disappeared. I am not a huge drinker, but always seemed to want that one drink at about 5pm, and am not comfortable with any daily habit like that.

You have to constantly eat and drink the shakes daily to gain weight if you have a high metabolism. Hoped that helped you.
Avatar f tn A good way to start the day would be oat (I add vanilla and cinnamon for some flavour) add a teaspoon of ground flax seed or a teaspoon of chia seeds to your oats, both will provide you with omega 3. A little bit of knowledge can go a long way and all this info is readily available and I found it all very useful when switching to a vegan diet. It would be a shame for someone so young to suffer permanent damage from being underweight.
Avatar m tn Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet and a moderate fat diet means = using polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.

While you may not want to gain anymore, you probably will just because we tend to retain water later in pregnancy and your baby will still grow. You should be drinking about 100 to 130 oz of water daily. Taking in adequate sources of protein is also very important. Carbs not so much. Fish will give you lots of protein without much fat and cholesterol.

Also just to let everyone know that I am trying to gain weight and I am not trying to be "underweight". I have a goal to gain at least 13 lb.s which will give me a bmi of 18 but it seems like a ridiculously impossible goal at the moment.

I stay away from it. I did find an article once that said its good for the heart but people with arrythmias it can make them go into life threating ones.
