Hey ladies have any of you gotten a Dr's advice on best source of omega 3 for baby's brain development? I was told that ground flaxseed is best but other literature says that fish oil is better as it has the DHA property. Any advice???
This has reduced the palpitations but the headache still comes on with chest pain and stomach upset. Sometimes the headache eases as the day progresses but other days it is there all the time, moving around my head as a constant pressure. I do not think that I am suffering from "panic attacks" as they come on suddenly at any time regardless of whether I am feeling anxious or not. I take medication for high blood pressure. Any suggestions? Many thanks.
An omega-3 overdose is likely to cause any of the usual omega-3 side effects, but perhaps more severely. In particular, stomach upset can be expected. In serious cases, an overdose could increase the risk of bleeding, including dangerous internal bleeding, such as gastrointestinal bleeding or bleeding in the brain.
I couldn't sleep very well, which of course left me tired the next day. I had g.i. and stomach upset. When I would exercise my heart rate would go much higher than normal. Normaly during work outs my heart rate gets up to around 150. While on theophylline h.r. would go up to 170! I got a lot hotter during workouts, and sweated buckets. In short while on theophylline I felt like I was on crack! Tilt test number 3, I was turned up got dizzy and light headed then passed out.
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
First it is entirely possible to get afib via gas bloat and other stomach and digestive tract disorders. If your stomach and digestive tract is as described then you must have inflamation. All this inflamation and bloat and gas will push up on your diaphram and surrounding areas and cause great discomfort and pain but also can press upon nerves.

Yes, I do take ******* Omega Guard which is a full spectrum of seven Omega-3's including DHA and EPA. I understand that there have been many studies on the benefits of Omega Fish oil on the eyes and body as a whole, so I started using it sometime ago. I'll continue with that and give the Restasis a good try. I have no risk factors such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes or obesity, so I think your suggestion of 2 a day is fine.
For omega-3 acids, try Carlson Lab Super Omega-3. The capsule has more omega-3 acids than a typical capsule and the company is very reliable. If you get upset stomach, take them WITH meals.
Dark chocolate and nuts have omega-3 fatty acids and helps to keep cholesterol down. Try to stay away from the big candy (chocolate bars). Mix the candy with the above ideas and you have a healthier treat than candy alone. The focus for Halloween should be for the children to have fun and candy does not have to be center of attraction. Relax and have fun with the kids, and do not let the boogie man get you!
I have discovered that if I go more than 10 or 12 hours without my tramadol I begin getting a headache which progresses to nausea, upset stomach and a generally not feeling well, to the point that I have to lie down. Sometimes I even have cold sweats and chills. I have found myself taking one just to relieve those symptoms I am concerned that I am dependent on the tramadol and it doesn’t look like I am going to get rid of the pain, and the need, any time soon.
chondroitin sulfate, phosphotidylcholine and the other phospholipids (lecithin) magnesium ascorbate, probiotics such as Theralac, branched-chain amino acids (leucine. isoleucine and valine) omega-3 oils, natural vitamin E AND all of the vitamins and minerals The phospholipids, branched-chain amino acids, vitamin C and omega-3-oils heal the holes in the intestinal wall.
Start off w protein shake n green powder, eat 60 gm of fat. squeeze in omega 3s and multivit plus extra D at odd times. Use a steroid cream n Vistaril for itching. Carry all this in my purse w/ tuks, balneol cream, Zofran, sunflower seeds, almonds, and hi fat granola. And always the riba n incivik. It really is funny when you think how much our lives have changed...
The chia is high in fat but it's unsaturated and very high in Omega-3. It's good for you in the same way salmon and other cold water fish are "heart-healthy" for you. I don't know if you have the brand "Egg-land's Best" in your area. These are eggs which have 25% less saturated fat and are high in vitamin E & Omega 3. The chickens are vegetarian-fed which is to say, they feed them chia seed to raise the Omega -3 and reduce saturated fat. Man, I do sound like a nut.
scared the heck out of me it went away after few minutes and dont recall getting another one for couple years later I got a steriod shot for allergies and it sent me into tachracardia for 4 months I developed such servere anxiety during that experience is when I remember starting t o feel them more frequent after 3 months of the tach I went to a cardio dr and had a ekg and echo all was normal expect beating fast. I read that omega 3 actually can make your arrthymias worse and even life threating. they say its good for you but if you have arrthymias its not to take. There is a new study on this. On the main heart forum before they switched it all one doc did make comment of it cant remember where. good luck I stay away from omeg 3.
You see, I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and things in the air can and do upset my stomach and therefore my IBS. So, there likely is some kind of reaction with your hair care products you're using, if that's the kind of wax you're talking about. I think it's worth considering the shea butter and coconut oil. The shea butter was used traditionally in Africa for centuries. Many in this country knew about it but it wasn't widely available like it is now.
The capsules are mercury free and they are an omega - 3 blend. They have an orange taste and are easy to swallow. Hope this doesn't sound too much like a commercial. I think they are helping me think more clearly. I have also started doing meditation for about 10 - 15 minutes a day. I also find that listening to relaxing music is helpful in keeping me calm. When I went through my depression more than 10 years ago now, I had what can only be described as anxiety episodes.
granted, i've been doing detox juices, lots of water, watching the animal protein intake, and eating asparagus and other such veggies. and yes i'm developing more and more red spots on my body. maybe 3 or 4, but the rheumatologist was interested them when he decided to order the Hep and lupus and other tests. and, finally, major depression. debatable. yes i'm a depressive. however, i know there are things physically wrong with me.
For breakfast I have oatmeal with Virgin Coconut Oil in it and full fat organic acidopholis yogurt, I then follow that with a teaspoon of fish oil for omega 3 and 6. Sometimes I also add a chunk of cheese. I have regular dinners and just try to add some healthy oil for cooking or as a salad dressing to keep the fat content up. If I'm concerned that there wasn't enough natural fat in my meal I take a couple of teaspoons of tahini with my riba, or have some ice cream.
Hi - I need to lose about 60-70 lbs. I have an underactive thyroid and am on levoxyl (SP?) - Anyway I have been jogging 4 miles 3x/week + 1 hour of weights at the gym and have a trainer. - I can't lose any weight! I fluctuate between a loss of 1-2 lbs but thats it....The workouts have reduced my cholest. and my Thyroid is norm. - my mean blood glucose is 101.
Oh, and let me just add a couple other things. Taking iron on an empty stomach will give most people an upset stomach and constipation. Better to get a little less absorption and take it with food so you don't throw up all day. Better still to take your iron as food, which the best-absorbed iron supplement I know of is (Floradix). And look at the difference in our recommendations to this poster -- I said, this is complicated, get a good book.
She also put me on some different prenatals because the one's I take are over the counter. The new ones contain DHA, omega-3 and something else. I took my first one before bed last night and I can't tell any difference. No upset stomach or nada!!! So, also we talked about my ovulation. Ok, I told her that I've tracked at least when my cycles started but that it has been hard to pinpoint ovulation.
If I do any physical activity my hands and feet will turn very red and be very hot and I can feel the heat radiating off my hands and feet. If I am outside and the weather is hot and I am wearing flipflops my feet will get beat red and so will my hands. I dont feel any pain but it is uncomfortable because i can feel something happening in my feet and even my legs. If i take a hot shower my feet and legs become beat red and my legs get blue even and I dont know why.
My cardiologist had no explanation as to why these simple, very occasional PVCs (captured on Holter) caused such a strong and terrible sensation. Anyway, I began taking aroung 1000mg of high-grade omega 3 fish oil four months ago (with doctor's approval) just to see if it made a difference. After about 3 weeks, my PVCs virtually went away, and some other symptoms I had been having also disappeared.
and now my son has seizures since 2006 and still dose every day. try taken vitamins like Omega 3 and B6, and what every you do don't just stop taken any of the medicines.
He suggested that 4 a day would not be too much. I think Life Extension suggests 3 but I'd have to go back and look for sure. Life Extension Foundation has some details about it too. HR also emphasized that it was important to store it properly. He said to keep only enough for the week in the refrigerator and store the rest in the freezer. Thaw before taking though. He said that otherwise it could get rancid and cause oxidative stress which would be bad.
Don't trust doctors in general. I use Cinnamon and Omega 3's. Thyroid treatment can bring the levels down too. Please read up on the side effects of Statins. I had to order my own Saliva tests through the Canary Club. But you can ask..he will think you are nuts probably. Also, are you on Bio identical Hormones? I too had a Hysterectomy, Fibroids, Endometriosis, ovarian cysts etc.. all caused by hormonal imbalances, thyroid etc..wish I knew that before I let them damage me for life!
You could have some sort of underlying virus or stomach bacteria. When the stomach is upset the vagus nerve gets stimulated and it gives me a stomach ache. Also, I know when I had the pvcs really bad some sort of chemical was being produced that also caused me to use the rest room often. I am not sure what it was but it passed once the bad bout of pvcs past. It is possible it is stress hormones as I was pretty stressed about the situation.
