1655526 tn?1330655629 So im not crazy after all.. I have told doctors and other people that fish and omega 3 bother my arrthymia. Noone believed me but I know what happens and it isnt pretty. 518994 tn?1212242047 I read where Omega 3 was good for your dog. Is it a different Omega 3 or is it the same that humans take?
Avatar f tn I take one to fight babybrain. Omegas are stripped from myelin shealths during pregnancy and since they act as lubricant in the conduction of, essentially thoughts, our thought process is slowed. I didn't ask my doc about it yet but it does clear up fog in my brain.
Avatar f tn you know, I haven't been taking the Omega 3 since I got pregnant - they make me nauseous. I just take my prenatals daily. I try to eat healthy(doesn't always happen) but i do try. I didnt take any Omega 3 with my other kids and their fine, so oh well.
Avatar f tn I take my prenatal pill one times a day. And It has everything I need But No omega 3 an I heard to take it 2nd or 3rd trimester. Just don't remember what was said.
Avatar m tn I took an Omega-3 supplement for the first time before going to bed last night, and when I woke up one eye was very swollen and puffy. The only allergies I have had are seasonal. Could I be allergic to the Omega-3 supplement?
Avatar n tn I am not sure of your question. Are you asking where omega 3 and omega 6 foods come from? Omegas 3 / 6 are polyunsaturated oils that help lower cholesterol and help prevent blood platelets from clotting blood vessel walls. The best source is fish especially mackerel, tuna, salmon, and lake trout. Fish should be eaten 2-3 times a week. Omega 3 are found in whole nuts, soy nuts / oil, and canola oil. Recommend 1-2 teaspoons of nuts daily. Hope this answered your question.
Avatar f tn why didnt she remove the rest - is she a specialist in endo?
Avatar n tn My husband has severe dry eyes, and has started taking omega 3 and flax seed oil. It is working very well, but his dose (after gradual increase to a point of benefit) is more than recommended. Can he overdose on 3 times the normal dose of purified omega 3 fish oil..the brand he takes is Health from the Sea PFO pure fish oil liquid. He takes twice the dose of the flax seed oil (same brand name).
Avatar f tn Well yeah, I'm getting really tired of posting this on the forum. I HAVE A TON OF MEDICATION ALLERGIES! So I have to do a lot of alternative things so I don't breakout in hives, hallucinate, puke 24/7, develop a wrist rash, or any other problems. I have taken birth control before and it has done a number on my immune system. I'm very small and should probably live life in a bubble. Knowing that she told me to start taking fish oil with Omega 3 fatty acids.
Avatar m tn Higher concentrations of EPA and DHA, the active components in omega-3s, can also be found in LOVAZA — the first and only prescription omega-3 medication. It is important to know that some types of fish may contain mercury and other pollutants from the environment. Therefore, the American Heart Association (AHA) cautions that some people should limit the amount of certain types of fish they eat.
199922 tn?1224786706 Hello! well i'm sorry you got that diagnosis.. however hopefully this will help you get that sticky BFP even sooner! : ) i was diagnosed almost a year ago now with severe endo (one of the worst cases the dr had seen - great!!!) never had any symptoms besides spotting before AF... they found a huge endometioma via ultrasound.. anyhow i lost most of that ovary, and the dr didn't even clean anything else up becuase she didn't want to touch my bowels etc...
Avatar m tn t just one substance, Omega three are fatty acids just like Omega 6 fatty acids found in oils and meat etc. Omega 3 are EPA, DHA, and ALA . Some experts have said that the balance between Omega 6 fatty acids and Omega 3 is key, but just as many say this is nonsense. Omega 3 do have benefits, mainly reducing inflammation in the body, such as in the arteries or joints. It can also reduce your clotting factor if taken in too high doses, causing excessive bleeding.
317787 tn?1473358451 Hi there! I just found this group and was wondering if anyone had tried Omega 3 supplements. I am trying them now for stiffness in joints, body. I've also read it can help with brain fog or fuzzy thinking.
Avatar f tn Been taking steroid almost a year n end up having ulcer n erosion.. The Dr. told me to immediatelly stop the steroid n once i stop, the pain started persistant n even worse.. I feel comfort with steroid than tramal which doesn't help me at all.. Been taken before gapabentin up to 900mg, Df118 60mg, tramal 100mg, amitriptyline 50mg.. Has no effect on me.. Surprisingly the side effect itself won't affect me at all.. N I had enough of the pain n medication that i take now..
Avatar n tn Coty is right it feeds off hormones so she should stay away from foods with lots of hormones like cow products. Fish is good omega is good. I live on ib profen and lay upsidedown on the stairs kinda silly but sometimes it helps. I think she just needs to get pregnant as soon as she can. Lupron puts you through menopause so she wont want to do that when she is trying to have a baby. Good luck!
1927233 tn?1326670387 Have a balanced diet which contains sufficient levels of magnesium, vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids and indulge in brisk walk daily for 20-30 minutes. Consult your doctor if there is an alternative to cortisol-affecting pills. Do keep me posted on how you are doing. Best luck and regards!
Avatar m tn I have the opposite effect with omega 3 from krill oil. It makes them tons worse. I take a tsp. of flax seed each day and blend them in a smoothie and that doesn't seem to bother me. What brand of plant based omega 3 do you use? After my bad experiences with krill oil, I'm kind of scared to take anything but whole flax seeds.
Avatar f tn I've purchased galic and parsley tablets as well as Omega 3-6-9 tablets in the hope of getting my colesterol levels to a normal numbering. But today I read that Omega 6 isn't that good as it could counter the effect of Omega 3 and induce inflammation. Now I"m wondering if I just spent 30$ for nothing. What do you think?
Avatar f tn He advised that walnuts and flaxseed are an excellent source and contain more omega 3 than eating fish (unless you eat fish daily). All you need is a 1/4 cup of each every other day. He told me the less you take during pregnancy the better. I also have to supplement Calcium as I am lactose intolerant. Suggested that I am better off to find foods that carry the same vitamins as your body absorbs them better. Much cheaper than taking a supplement.
