6867745 tn?1398948987 A small amount of olive oil is a natural way to cure dry skin. No harsh chemicals or extra junk. I'm a fan of coconut oil too but do know that a lot of people react to it.
Avatar f tn I am a 22 year old girl. I am fair and have smooth skin but my skin is not clear. I tend to have pimples and boils on my face. The boils appear on my forehead and cheeks. They are not painful or itchy but simple swellings and they come in clusters. Few days back i massaged my face with olive oil but i got rashes on my face> how do i treat it. My otherwise health is good but overweight. What do i do to clear my skin because these problems recur regularly. Mine is a normal skin.
Avatar m tn Is it good to use olive oil on a red spot/mark after the scab fell off the skin? would it help to fade it, and therefore blend it in better with the rest of the skin?
Avatar f tn Use olive oil: Doing a short massage with olive oil is a good idea for nipple care during pregnancy. This will help retain the moisture of the skin. This will help to prevent any problems that are related to dry skin, which is very common during pregnancy.
2125174 tn?1339238689 Hi, your pug could be suffering from an allergy. Or he could just have dry skin, due to insufficient Omega 3's. Try changing your dogs diet to the very best food you can afford. Something with no grains and preferably organic. Luckily for you, your pug is a small dog, and providing him with good quality food, shouldn't break your budget. You can also provide him with Olive Oil twice daily. 1 to 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.
Avatar f tn Stretch marks are more genetic than anything else. I use raw Shea butter or olive oil; anything with perfume has alcohol and makes my skin dry and itchy. As soon as I get out the shower (still doing wet) I apply the Shea or olive oil. If my tiny itches between showers I simply apply more oil.
Avatar n tn I was told to use olive oil on myself to prevent stretchmarks, I am now 33+5 and NO STRETCHMARKS! I don't know if it is from the olive oil or just my skin.... Has anyone else ever heard of this or used olive oil???
Avatar m tn I have a question on applying extra virgin olive oil to the skin. I've heard a few people state that they use olive oil as a natural skin softener. What about applying it directly to my face overnight? Is this a safe way to reduce or help with wrinkles?
475300 tn?1312423126 Solidified coconut oil makes the most wonderful pie crusts---and I use whole wheat flour as well. yum!
Avatar f tn This is just an idea but you might try olive oil..................................
Avatar f tn I made a Shea butter mix using pure Shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, vitamin e oil, and pure coconut oil. You just mix it in a food chopper or use a hand mixture and it works great!!
Avatar f tn She could also be allergic to the food she is eating. When you bathe her be sure to rinse her really good.
Avatar n tn something very gentle as they are so sensitive and raw already. An organic olive oil will work fine - gentle and a very cheap option compared to any cosmetic products. Once it's food grade it's definitely good enough for your skin. Just make sure it's absorbed before putting clothes on as it might stain.
Avatar m tn After seeing derm who said I had small pathces of ezema (serb D) I then tried few more products but everything still reacted (jojoba oil, shea butter, la roche posay, Avene, Cetaphil, baby products etc etc). Some times reactions were not face reddening but breakouts of larger pores and skin looking older and more grainy. I now think my problem is my skin barrier is so damaged that any ingredient I put on it reacts thus prohibiting the skin repairing.
Avatar f tn I have had some success with kiss my face products: the olive oil bar soap and the liquid pear soap, even though it has fragrance. I think the fact that the oil keeps the skin from drying is part of why it works. Also, this may seem strange, but the brown herbal conditioner from nature's gate is soothing to my condition.
Avatar f tn It seems odd that olive oil and Vit E on the skin could make an allergic reaction that would affect your heart. Did the doc give you a treatment for the Klebsella bacteria and did you mention those 2 allergies?
Avatar n tn m not a doctor but bars of soaps like dove are usally quite drying, i would suggest trying glycerin soap or putting extra virgin olive oil in you bath(oil bath) you will leave the bath having fully moisturised skin, for you hair buy glycerin not sure which country your in but you can purchase this from the pharmacy or chemist if you have like a empty bottle or container (like 250ml ) empty half the glyrcerin into the bottle and match the same quantity with water may so somewhere around 40% glyce
646318 tn?1261181494 I know coconut oil is great for the skin especially when you get a rash... I read a few websites about this stuff... They have diets and a bunch of other stuff that i dont wanna get into... But coconut oil has 130 Calories from fat and 13 calories of saturated fat... When you ingest it.. Is it really that healthy for you with all that fat and saturated fat??? If coconut oil is a good choice how should i prepare it??
3166744 tn?1357930247 I love bio oil, I'm on my second pregnancy and have none and I gained 66 lbs with my first(:
Avatar n tn I have severe Rhinitis when using shampoos/products that contain Coconut oil, Palm oil, Olive oil, or Argan Oil. I also have horrible stomach issues and flushing if ingested. Sometimes tight and tingling throat. What do all of those have in common? I thought that maybe I had a tree nut allergy but some of those things are not classified as a tree nut and I've eaten products with peanut without reaction.
Avatar f tn what worked for me was to take a tepid bath with a few teaspoons of olive oil. I think coconut would work also, but you might get tired of the smell. These are pretty benign, but stay away from almond oil, many are allergic to it. what I liked about the bath method was, aside from the not too hot water being soothing for a few minutes (we are not supposed to take long hot showers or baths while on tx) was the fact that when I emerged I was finely coated all over with oil....
