5770257 tn?1374371422 Im 12+6 and have them on my hips, belly and boobs and the itching is driving me nuts. I cant afford Bio Oil/Vitamin E Oil or Cocoa Butter as my partner was in a car crash last week and every spare cent is being saved for a new car and a bigger flat for us and baby!
Avatar f tn frozen yoghurt instead of icecream, sweetener instead of sugar, yoghurt instead of mayo or cream, etc. The Press here in NZ published a list of things you should avoid with ideas on how to exchange: http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/6471889/Fruit-juice-honey-among-no-nos-says-dietitian Then try to cook your favourite food in a different, more health way.
1327032 tn?1288840755 campaign is a lobster, which is how you may look right now. I found coconut oil very soothing for my skin during tx but it was super-messy on the sheets 'cause I used the straight cooking type.
Avatar f tn Just thought I would let you all know for future reference if there are any sufferers in NZ, that I saw Dr Andrew Law yesterday, and found him to be excellent in every way. He has a good understanding of Chiari, Syrinx, Spina Bifida, amongst other things and was very helpful to me. He's very experienced (I did some homework!) and a really down to earth guy who takes a patient seriously.

Avatar m tn I have a question on applying extra virgin olive oil to the skin. I've heard a few people state that they use olive oil as a natural skin softener. What about applying it directly to my face overnight? Is this a safe way to reduce or help with wrinkles?
Avatar n tn If your skin is tight, scaly and flaky, consider supplementing with essential fatty acids. Evening primrose oil and black currant oil are both good sources of GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), which helps promote skin, hair and nail health. The usual dose is 500 mg twice a day and you won't see immediate results, but in six to eight weeks you'll begin to notice positive changes. Avatar f tn Also, if you want to use something you already have, olive oil is a great, inexpensive moisturizer. But maybe too oily for your face.
535822 tn?1443976780 At night you can try coconut oil or olive oil, but it's a bit heavy for day time use. These still allow your skin to breathe much better than the petroleum jelly will. If you're prone to acne, ditch the Vaseline for sure. If you only use the coconut oil for your skin at night and it doesn't bother your skin, still only apply lightly. The coconut oil at the discount supplement store that is used to cook with is the same one you would use for skin and hair applications.
Avatar m tn But when I go out in sun or workout in gym, or eat hot or chilli foods, or walk on steep slopes or take a hot bath these rashes appear on my body usually around my wrists firsts followed by whole arms, chest, legs, back some time buttocks too. These generally stay for minuet or too or until I cool down. The skin again comes to normal in minuets. Now my life is very much restricted because of this. I cannot play, go out in sun or do work which involves hard labour.
1431138 tn?1294566894 When you bath him use baby oil and let it sit for a few minutes and then use a soft tooth brush or dry clothes and rub away the flakes of skin. Be sure and really get the oil out of the hair or it will make it worse.

Avatar m tn But this does not seem to improve my oil production. My skin tone and pore size may be improved, but my oil production has not changed and has maybe gotten worse. Right now I'm using the oil absorbing blotting papers . . . but this really isn't a good solution to me. As I need to use so many a day, and I seem to get oily almost immediately afterwards. I'm looking for some solutions to this persistant problem. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn So my concern is, is hemp pot? Will it absorb through my skin? People talk highly about the oil saying its a definite dry skin cure but i just dont know. Please help.
10943479 tn?1432725499 Creams are 50-50 water to oil ratio. Ointments (Vaseline) are oil-based and works best. Avoid staying in hot showers for too long or too often (<15mins ok), pat dry, and apply moisturizers within 3 mins.

Avatar f tn I would definitely talk to ur doc. Have you ever tried organic natural soaps or lotions from the health food store? BBW & VS have tons of chemicals, preservatives, dyes & other irritants to the skin. Also Dove and Oil of Olay have parabens that can be irritating to some.
Avatar f tn Use olive oil, it seems to help a lot! Or I just got this stuff made by Dr. Teals and its bath and body oil, it works great and fast absorbing!
