480448 tn?1426948538 I've posted a photo of the letter we received from the district outlining the changes to be put in place following the Sandy Hook tragedy. I apologize if it's hard to read, plus I edited out names for privacy purposes. I am actually shocked the district was so quick to implement these changes, and I'm pleased. I don't think the gun debate should have anything to do with what each school district decides to implement for their children's safety.
Avatar f tn By the way, a friend of mine is a teacher. She had started a new medication for her mental health issues and unfortunately, had a psychotic break at school. She walked herself to the office knowing she needed to be away from her classroom. She'd called her husband to meet her who came immediately. They talked the principal and she left and her husband drove her to the emergency room. She took the next day off of work and they were getting her meds corrected.
Avatar f tn T allow them to be in proximity of the baby. I would just have to be as blunt and honest about things as possible to ensure the safety of my baby. Good luck and best wishes.
Avatar m tn Former FDA Reviewer Speaks Out About Intimidation, Retaliation and Marginalizing of Safety The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is often accused of serving industry at the expense of consumers. Avatar f tn Hi SassieLassie Thank you for your response and concern. I went to see my GP and they said everything is now fine and it's just my lymph tissue in the throat coming up after the virus as I have no tonsils.
Avatar f tn I asked specifically about taking Melatonin as I've always had sleep issues. My doctor told me that its better to steer clear and to take Unisom instead because Melatonin hasn't really been tested for safety in pregnancy.
Avatar f tn You are definitely overreacting. I don't know why it is that so many people seem to think that nurses are required to open needles, equipment, etc in front of a patuent. That's not true. If you have OCD type issues, then request that the nurse open everything in front of you. However, with the nature of these kinds of obsessive thoughts, even that is not usually enough to stop the irrational thoughts. Nurses do NOT reuse needles.
148588 tn?1465778809 The Government Accountability Office and rail safety advocates have questioned whether the Federal Railroad Administration is prepared for the inspections and approvals for PTC. Caltrain echoes those concerns. "I think they will be challenged from a resource point of view to get this done, and it seems likely that that is going to be a constraint on all of us," said Karen Antion, a consultant who is directing Caltrain's transition to the system.
Avatar m tn I can't speak about the health or safety issues, but many doctors view 20/20 results from cataract surgery to be the holy grail, and they're not satisfied with less. If you're satisfied with glasses, or even contact lenses if you can wear them, why spend more money?
335728 tn?1331414412 The worst part is, she is a Registered Nurse but working in an office setting managing a home care company....gee I wonder why...I have imagined her in many settings but the best is seeing her smiling as she lowers some poor senior into an icy bath for kicks...she really is that cruel!!

Avatar m tn I know it does NOT have FDA approval which means it has not proven efficacy enough to get an indication for use in erectile dysfunction or anything else. However, they do have some studies that say it works. Healthline states "Shockwave therapy appears to work best for men with vasculogenic ED, which is a blood vessel disorder that affects blood flow to tissue in the penis. The therapy’s effectiveness with other causes of ED remains to be seen.
Avatar n tn I have been a pediatric dental assistant for over 8 years. we sedate 3-4 patients a day in our office(between 3 doctors). We use two medications to sedate our little ones. Chloral Hydrate and Vistaril is what we use. Age 1 to 10 years old. These medications are concious sedation meds. They have a very high index of safety because it is done based on a range of weights. Making it hard to over sed. Unless you just don't go by the guidelines.
