SO they gave me Ocella, the generic of Yasmine....for the first time I had side effects. On Yasmine, I had not side effects that bothered me enough to take into account. All I know is after years of riding the roller coaster of PMDD /Hairloss/body hair growth, I felt like the sun came back up on Yasmine.
My nurse changed me to Yaz in July. As I write this I about to switch back to Yasmine and the pharmarcy has lost my presciption..so I am cying!
Although they claim to not have any difference, I was on Yasmin (brand name) for a while and then was switched too Ocella (Generic) and I did notice slight changes in my period. In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy.

Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.
My vagina will also get really dry and my wax lady has told me twice that my vaginal skin is really thin. I was on gianvi perscribed for my horrible cramps that i get. The gianvi didnt help with mu painful cramps like the gyne said. So i stopped taking them. Idk what to do i a always havung yeast infections as well but never with warts. Im scared because the doctos discharged me and told me to go see my gyne for a biopsy. I called to make an appointment this morning and shes retired!
My healthy 20 yr. old daughter was taken Ocella Birth Control Pills for 2- 3 months when she began experiencing severe headaches. She would take Tylenol, and eventually the headache would go away. At the time we did not make the relation between headaches and birth control pills. One particular day she complained of a headache, pain in her right shoulder/arm, blurry vision in her right eye, and she couldn't remember certain things that normally she remembered.
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
5 months and was recently switched over from yaz to gianvi which is the generic brand of yaz. I had no choice. I had my period around the end of the month and into the beginning of this month like normal. I started spotting around 2 weeks before my next period and its lasted about a week now. Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening?
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
I had to bring her a print out, and this was on my second appointment. In the beginning she prescribed ocella, I stoped because it was making me bleed. She told me that I shouldn't had stoped because it was my body adapting to the pill. When I read about Lybrel, I immediately printed the information and asked for it. I had faith on this pill. My period started on Feb. 11 while on Lybrel and I have menstrual staining, occassional bleeding, every single day.
Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.
I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
I opted for trying to shrink it. She called in a prescription for Ocella, which made me nauseous, flu-like aches with headache, exhausted, plus the added benefit of feeling DEPRESSED. LOL. Once I recognized it was the Ocella causing side effects, I called and had the second conversation with the PA, during which she couldn't answer any questions but changed the prescription to Jolessa, which I am tolerating without side effects.

m 17 and have been taking birth control since about feb of this year. I was on gianvi, then vestra, and always got my period the day after I ended my pack and the day I was to start a new one.
So I am tripping out quite a bit! My mom called my nurse but she apparently doesnt know.... Though I am unsure what my mom said...
So, again, is that okay to get your period three days before you end your pack. (when I am still taking the green pills?

At the end of September I was switched from Syeda to Ocella. I was about two weeks late picking up my prescription. On October 5th I was sexually active and it was during the first week of my pill pack. I ended up starting my withdraw bleed during the third week of my active pills. It was light and spotty, only when I wiped. It lasted 10 days.
About three days into the spotting I got sore breasts, which I have never gotten before.
Alright so I am on gianvi birth control and I always take it at 3pm. However, for the past two weeks I've never been on time. Almost always 4-5 hours late and sometimes even the next day. My now exboyfriend and I had sex yesterday without any protection. Should I be concerned? Also I lost a pill for today so I'll be missing today's dose. What are my chances of becoming pregnant? Or am I safe..
I got on the pill right after we started dating and have been on it ever since. But recently I switched my birth control to gianvi and I was suppose to get my period today...i have never missed a period being on the pill...is there any chance I could be pregent if me and my boyfriend have sex alot without a contraceptive? How long should I wait until i should really freak out..
The only other medications I am on are Klonopin and Gianvi (birth control), neither of which should interact with the Prozac. Since the prozac, I have been vomiting, not sleeping, and feeling "out of it". The pharmacist I spoke with said it should take one more day to get out of my system. If I did in fact have serotonin syndrome, I would most likely either be dead by now or coming out of it, correct?
im also 14 and on ocella, a birthcontrol pill, the pills DO NOT stop your period, it just makes it less then a usual week, mine is 5 days. Now the DEPO shot, you may have your period non stop for about a month, the horomnoes in the shot finishes cleaning you out...
My boyfriend and I are sexually active, we've been together for about 2 years. I am on birth control (Ocella) but, he always pulls out before ejaculating. He's never "busted" inside of me. I haven't missed a period, but do you think I'm at all possible of being pregnant?

I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.
My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 years, I'm taking birth control (Ocella) And, have been for nearly 8 months. We have sex, without a condom, but he pulls out before he "busts." I haven't missed my period or anything, but I'm still nervous about the whole thing. Do you happen to know if I'm okay, or not?
#2 I have been taking my birth control, Ocella (28 pills) for 1 month, if I stop taking it will my periods come back since they were absent for so long? I have had 1 period so far, since I started my BC. I got my period on the 23rd of this month.
#3 can I still get pregnant, if I dont have my period after I stop taking the pill?
I'm not exactly sure when I could predict ovulation.
