Ocella the same as yasmin

Common Questions and Answers about Ocella the same as yasmin

yaz

Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.

I've began to hear things about yas, yasmin, and ocella as of late, but never thought it was this bad. I have been taking yasmin for5 years, until the past year when it was unknowingly switched to generic ocella. I have suffered for 6-7 years with UTI's bladder kidney infections. I also have HPV and am at high risk for cervical cancer. I am currently being treated for bacterial cystitis on top of all of that. And if ocella is causing all of this, I need to know.
well, the same exact thing happened to me... i'm 20, not married.. had an irrigular period one year ago and i went to the doctor.. he said that i have Polycystic ovary syndrome ... i started to take Yasmin birth control pills and i stopped last month.. now my period is toooo late and i don't know what to do.. i don't know if ever i'm gonna be able to get pregnant if i want to!
I have been diagnosed with PCOS and have irregular periods due to the same reason. I was taking Ocella last year (for 6 months) because I was told my hormones are not balanced. Now, I have the same problem and am taking Yasmin. My periods have been going on for almost 10 days now. Its not heavy, just spotting. But I am concerned because this has never happened before. Has anyone experienced this? Please help me out.... Thanks!
If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.
The breakthrough bleeding almost always happens for me when I've been taking the pill non-stop for a long time. I take Yasmin or Ocella (the generic form of Yasmin). What pill are you on?
Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better. 10. My MIND is a lot cleared on YAZ but the side effects and physical effects are unhealthy and I have not been able to engage in excercise etc because of the symtoms. I will rather go on Yasmine and have no physical side effects and I will try to manage the remaining mood swings myself.
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy. Also it is not uncommon for us to sometimes miss a period in general, so being on the pill is the same thing. I asked my doctor when i missed my June period, he said it could just be one of those things...or maybe a cyst.
In fact I just got over my period last 2/28 and it only started on 2/26, and was only a mere spotting and 1 day of light flow. My doctor advised me that Yasmin or Ocella (genric brand) works best for those who suffer from PCOS. And your most likely spotting because of all the change in the birth control. Your body gets use to one pill, and then you change it and you go through thr cycle again. And I would say your weight has some issues with your period, but not all.
I've never been on Yaz and the only birth control pills I have ever taken was/is Yasmin. No they are not the same. Yasmin or Ocella is a lower dose of birth conrtol, while Yaz is prescribed more often to those who suffer from PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder). Yasmin is one of the best birth control pills out there for those who suffer with PCOS. I've been on it for 2 years, with a break of 6 months. I just started a new pill pack this month again.
7)) will my body be able to clear the virus off if im being exposed to the virus?(since we are not using a condom) 8) Im being taking Ocella (yasmin)birth control pills, does they have any side effect with the hpv or does they help me clear it off? Thank you for your time.... and again your answers will help me a lot!!
I am a health 21 year old female and about 2 years ago I was on Leena (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) and was on it for about a year, then took a year break from BC pills and have started generic yasmin, (Ocella) and have been on it since February. My question is, back when I was on Leena (and quite a while after that) and since I started Ocella, there is what seems to be darker red spots on my face, and always in the same place.
I had suffered from these migraines before for years and it they only get bad when im on certain bc pills. I saw my PC doctor on tuesday and asked just to be on yasmin for the next few months just b/c of the situation and so I started taking the generic ocella yesterday. I hope it straightens **** out. Anyway, what I want ot know is ,"Can your symptoms of your mentrual period worsen b/c you just detoxed off the stongest pain medicine there is?
I've gotten slight tingling in my hands and feet, at times. Also, I have been taking birth control (Yasmin/Ocella) for over a year and have never had a problem with irregularity. However, now I'm bleeding a week before I'm supposed to and have also been having painful cramps, which is why I went on the birth control in the first place.
I had to change PCPs a few times afterwards, and each one prescribed me a slighly different variation of Yasmin (Ocella, Zarah). Could these changes have led to what I think is melasma? Currently I am not taking anything in fear it may be the cause of the melasma. 3, I thought I had ingrown hair in that area and had one round of laser hair removal done.
When my OB put my on the pill again, I got the generic version of YASMIN called OCELLA. I love it. My cycles are 28 days now, my periods last only 2-3 days and are VERY light. Good luck with your choice.
Thank you for yor reply. I do recall trying Differin in college (I had the same process - birth control stoppage, then acne) and the Differin was okay, Not wonderful, but perhaps I would get a different effect 10 years later. Thanks again!!
