Avatar f tn Did you make sure to give the pills (when you tried both ocella and lybrel) a few cycles to work? I know it's annoying, and in the mean time you have a life to contend with... But sometimes it takes a while for these things to work. It's weird that ocella (generic Yasmin, I think) would make you bleed, because that is usually one they give to women who have problems with breakthrough bleeding. How long did you try it before you quit?
Avatar m tn I was wondering if switching birth control pills could have helped maximize the anxiety. I switched from yaz to ocella and have only been on ocella for a few months and the anxiety started like a month ago.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
Avatar n tn Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...

Avatar f tn idk, it just makes me super nervous. I just freak out. Since I freak so much, it's a sign we should just not have sex. I mean, until I'm ready to be a mother! That would be the best thing to do, but thanks for your reply, it makes me at ease. And, no I haven't missed a pill. I've missed maybe one this month, like I took it a little late, but we didn't have sex because of that..
Avatar f tn Hello.. I been on Ocella for almost 2 months. and ever since I started taking it my breast have been very sore, there are days where I can not even sleep or stand having my bra on thru out the day. They hurt if I touch them, run or make any fast move. I did get my period which it was not that heavy being that I hadnt had a period for over a year. Could that be the problem?
Avatar f tn The only medicine she was taken was the birth control pill, Ocella. She was overweight, and at times showed signs of high blood pressure, otherwise healthy. I want to know if there is any relation between seizures and birth control pills. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Avatar f tn im also 14 and on ocella, a birthcontrol pill, the pills DO NOT stop your period, it just makes it less then a usual week, mine is 5 days. Now the DEPO shot, you may have your period non stop for about a month, the horomnoes in the shot finishes cleaning you out...
Avatar n tn Although they claim to not have any difference, I was on Yasmin (brand name) for a while and then was switched too Ocella (Generic) and I did notice slight changes in my period. In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I had shorter periods after being on my pill and they say after three months of starting it it will begin to regulate. This sounds normal to me but if you are concerned maybe contact your sexual health clinic?
Avatar f tn I am 18 and have been missing my period very regularly. The longest I have gone without having my period is a year and a half. Now it is August and I haven't had my period since April. And before this stretch of 4 months I was having it every other month. I would like to be more normal and I'm not sure if my hormone levels are all off or what. I shouldn't be pregnant... My breasts and nipples have both been sore as well. Kinda like your legs feel after a nice long run...
Avatar f tn They did a lot of test on me and everything came back normal. She prescribed some pills that I would drink for 10 days and i would get my period. I did I got my period 5 days later . The following month I got it again and then the month after that I got it for 2 days very very light and I have not gotten it since. I m really scared and worried. Me and husband are ready for a baby. I dont know what to do next. Please help!!
Avatar f tn My periods when I was younger was every other month and I took birth control for over 10 years and it was regular during that time. I recently got married and got off of it to try to have a baby. I got one period and have not had one since (it has been 6 months now). I have lots of blood tests done and my testosterone is really high and I was diagnosised with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). I would get checked for that. Here are some of the symptoms. The symptoms of PCOS include: 1.

I have had regular periods all of my life and just this month I missed my period, I thought maybe I could be pregnant so my husband and I went and got a pack of tests that had 2 tests in it. I took one, neg...I waited about 2 more weeks and took another one, neg..Still no period. So, I waited about a week and took another..and it was neg.
Avatar n tn My last period was at the end of February. I still haven't had one. I have never had an abnormal pap and my periods have always been on time. I'm not pregnant. Iv'e taken many home tests and have even been to the health nurse and those tests were negative also. She has me started on birth control hoping that it will cause me to start my period. What are some other possibilities for why I havent started?
Avatar f tn Hy!I missed my periods for 5 months and I want to know what might be wrong with me and I am scared that what if I won't have my periods anymore or what if I won't have babies in the future and for the information I'm still a virgin 14 years of age.please reply as soon as possible I really need help.
Avatar f tn Besides pregnancy, what can cause 3 missed periods? I've been dealing with fatigue, weight gain, some mild swelling in my feet and hands and I have missed now, 3 periods. I've taken 3 pregnancy tests and they all came up negative. Made a doc. appt for next week but until then, I just thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced this.
Avatar n tn i have always had regular periods, i may missed a month here and there but it always comes back the next month on time, this time it hasn't, it is going to be the 5 month and no period, i dont think im pregnant because i think that with 5 months i would have noticed already, i'm 22 years old and last time i had sex was in june, i got my period july and august and september was a no show, i haven't got a pregnancy test and i'm a little freaked out, i have been under a lot of stres
736040 tn?1257436457 50mcg that very icy feet, irritable, angry, aggressive, and a lot more. very irregular periods, and i have tailbone pain. was reading in med book and online, that fibroids on uterus can cause tailbone pain. have to go to the endo or ob/gyn to find out more. all my blood tests were in range accept: testosterone with 95! way to high, last year it was lower but also very high.maybe PCOS, hypothyroidsm, fibroids and some issue with the adrenal glands - they produce too much androgene too in women.
Avatar m tn My best friend took plan b after sex and still ended up very pregnant. She was in med school and away from family and opted for an abortion but that was her choice. You should take a pregnancy test because it has been a while. Also understand that just the sheer fact that you are sort of paranoid about the possibility of being pregnant can prevent your period because of the stress you are putting on yourself.
Avatar f tn Maybe you should talk to your parents about birth control, and ask that you see your dr no matter what. Missing your period for so long could be because of something totally unrelated to pregnancy. Get yourself a calendar, or this website has a great app for charting your periods. You should be aware of when you're having them to make sure you keep up with it. And if you decide to become sexually active in the near future, it's a good idea to see a gynecologist.
Avatar f tn Yes, stress can definitely cause anovulatory cycles. And if you don't ovulate, you won't get your period. The provera you took is a progestrone that tricks your body into thinking it ovulated, and that's why you got your period after that. Sometimes that "kickstarts" your cycles and you start getting your periods on a regular basis again, but not always. Did your doctor suggest birth control pills at all. That's often prescribed to help regulate your cycles...
Avatar n tn I immediately in february got on depo provera (birth control) and missed my due back in may 2011. Ive just started to have a normal menustration in july since all of that and we have been having sex and still no positive test. should i be worried yet ?
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor 3 weeks ago because I've missed a few periods, and he decided that I should take a blood test. It was all right but he thinks that my missed periods are because of low BMI (19.5, I don't believe it is so low that it would interfere with my periods.
Avatar f tn i tried pregnancy home kit test on 4th and 9th march and both were negative.
Avatar n tn I am on yaz birth control, and I have missed 2 periods. I took 5 home pregnancy tests which all have resulted in negatives. I have never missed a period other than when I was pregnant. I did not miss any pills of birth control and have been on no other medication. I am slighlty stressed and thought that was a reasonable explanation as to why I missed my first period. but now that I have missed two I am wondering....
