m not sure which country you are working in but in the UK and US there will be an occupational health unit that can advise you. Otherwise you can take the HIV DUO test at 28 days and be assured of a negative result.
In Abu dhabi,UAE the medical test for visa is done in every two years which includes HIV test also. Apart from that there is Occupational health screening for food handlers and restsurants which is done every year(periodically) in al madina occupational health centre which includes blood test also. My question is does this medical include HIV test?

The opacities can be caused by chronic infections like tuberculosis, sarcoidosis and due to occupational lung diseases like silicosis, asbestosis etc. Tuberculosis can produce typical changes in X rays and typically affects the upper lobes. This further correlated with blood tests, which show a raised ESR and lymphocytes. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

I work in occupational safety and health field. There was a question about firing practice at gun ranges during pregnancy last week. I posted some recommendations to prevent lead exposure to pregnant mom's and fetus.
Based on an article in Seattle Times, October 19, 2014 "Loaded With Lead" I personally will no longer be visiting a firing range during pregnancy, and hope other pregnant mom's will do the same.
Children in general are more susceptible to lead posioning.

Now his company want him to see the Occupational Health Dr. The hospital and GP agree that he cannot return to work yet. He has no problem having the referral and seeing the Occ. Dr. He has not told work that he has Hep C, but Liver Impairment. The nurse specialist can supply a letter confirming Liver Impairment.
What we want to know, does he have to disclose his Hep C and if so does the Occ. Dr. have to tell his employer.
With regards to asbestos exposure, he should discuss the situation with other employees, his employee health and safety representative, and his employers. Hi. I am a student. My major is about Occupational health and safety. That is, this topic is very interesting. Although I do not have experience to manage fatigue yet, I give some thing as reference if you want. I have some points as suggestion as follows: The first, Should be make more discuss between the employers and employees to get opinions from the employees which know the most clearly the situation, risks from the workplace as well.

My company just moved into a new building in 2006 and since the move there have been 5 females (including myself) that have been diagnosed by a doctor of this condition. This building we moved into is an older building and we are near a waste dump and a golf course in CA. It seems too ironic that we all have this condition and there are 2 other females who were diagnosed prior to the move who have said that they are getting more frequent attacks since the move.

Hi all
Approximately 5 weeks ago I had a stick exposure to a human immunoglobulin (igG) formulation in my laboratory. It was in a glass ampoule that snapped in my hand and cut my finger quite deeply and bled quite a bit.
Given this is a human product I read over the certificate of analysis which stated it was negative for hep a, b and c. However it was ELISA and Western Blot indeterminate for HIV. It was tested for HIV RNA (at sensitivity of 50 copies/ml) was negative.
The nurse who did my last test told me that the window period in Zimbabwe stretches to 12 months and said I should retest at 6 months. But reading on this forum and Dr Tan Forum they said 12 week test are conclusive. Am really confused so as to take another test since the first 3 months was like living in hell. My question 1) is window period differs country by country 2) are all my test conclusive.
Exposure to sulfuric acid aerosols at high concentrations is a potential occupational health hazard and may lead to immediate and severe irritation of the eyes, respiratory tract and mucous membranes and there is a risk of subsequent pulmonary edema if tissue damage has been more severe. However at lower concentrations, the most common symptom of chronic exposure to sulfuric acid aerosols could be erosion of the teeth and difficulty in breathing.
I stood there in shock for 5 seconds with it in my hands, threw away the alcohol swab and went to the hallway to look at my hands, went right back inside the room and washed my hands. From that point on I forgot whether there was opening on my hands or blood or which hand I used. I have been living in a fear for this past 7 weeks.
10 days after exposure I started to take my temperature, it has always been at some point of the day around the 99.2, also had mild sore throat for 1+ week.
