He prescribed nystatin triamcinolone acetonide and I used it twice a day as instructed. I noticed a small difference of it getting better, but it is not gone. Every once in a while I feel a sharp pain there. What should I do? I am willing to do anything to get rid of this. Should I keep putting the nystatin triamcinolone acetonide on? I would appreciate your input.
Balantitis is very bright red, does it cause itchiness or stings? A Dr could prescribe a more effective cream Nystatin and Triamcinolone Cream that could clear it up in day or two, or rule it out. I have redness and pain, though not balantitis. Do not overuse over counter or pres cream, heard can thin skin, so use caution do not use for many days.
Doctor then prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide (combo drug), and says to use for a couple weeks, directly applying to anus area (the orig. problem is not a factor at this point). BUT, just a week ago, I notice that on shaft of penis, near the bottom of shaft (where it connects to body) a quarter-size area of dry skin, with skin actually "peeling" off, lvg red area with a few intense spots. Doctor says to use same cream on that area, the N and TA. Is this psoriasis?
My ob gyn prescribed me a cream that has nystantin and triamcinolone acetonide. I was reading the patient information leaflet and I got nervous when I read this among the precautions paragraphs: "there are no teratogenic studies with combined nystantin and triamcinolone acetonide. Corticoisteroids are generally teratogenic in laboratory animals when administered systematically at relatively low dosage levels.
I had a reoccurring fungal infection on the tip of my penis that I believe has been cured through oral fluconazole. Part of the treatment was Nystatin/Triamcinolone. For a time I also used Ciplopirox but it made the skin very waxy looking so I stopped that treatment. Now the underside of the Penis is pink in color and sex/rubbing in my underwear aggravates the condition, causing it to burn for a short period and get more red in color.
I finally, after realizing the same thing u have, went from doctor to doctor until i found one who prescribed a low-dose cream called nystatin and triamcinolone acetopide. i use it twice a week and she has been free for about four months now. maybe its not the prescription but the doctor.
I am a 38 year old male in a monogamous relationship. For the last 3 years now, I have had recurrent "jock itch" infections. I have been to my GP, been to a Dermatologist, and used every OTC jock itch cream known to man. I've used Gold Bond powders, Miconazole powder, and just plain baby powder. The dermatologist did a fungal smear that came back negative, but he still thought it appeared to be jock itch.
He told me to make sure everytime i put a bra on to make sure that its dry. He gave me Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. Its going away!!!
I developed a very itchy and painful rash that my physician diagnosed as a yeast infection. For the last several months I have been on Nystatin and Triamcinolone Cream, keep the area clean, and wear cotton underwear. This rash has not cleared up. It's still red, hair follicles show pustules, and the whole area has a burning sensation. The stretch marks near it are inflamed and tender. What other treatments could be used to clear this up?
I have had this for a few years now.. Ok, I went through a treatment of nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream and my rash went away.. it came back with a vengence!! then I just went through a treatment of just anti fungal cream.. No effect. I have undergone a treatment of doxycycline as well too, no change.. So the cream with steroid was the only effective treatment but because the rash goes around the scrotum it is not wise to use steroids for prolonged periods of time. HELLLPP!!!!!

Since then my scalp and inner ears have also started itching. I went to the doctor and he prescibed me Nystatin cream with Triamcinolone and Fluconazole 150mg single tablet assuming it was a fungus. It helped for a couple of weeks, but the itching came back. I have tried every natural topical remedy on the internet, taken various supplements and changed my diet, still nothing works.
He found inflamation of my prostrate, he thinks the redness on my penis is an unrelated to the oral sex fungal infection. He prescribed Cipro 500 mg, twice a day and a topical cream, Nystatin and Triamcinolone. The same day, I went to the local clinic for another round of STD medication, 4 pills and a shot in my upper buttocks, plus a blood and urine exam. I told the clinic my story as well. Given everything I've done so far, is there more I could be doing? I am scared to death.
So if another spot does not develop, or if the existing spot doesn't get worse, I shouldn't seek medical treatment? Should I use Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream on the spot? If it were herpes, wouldn't it be accompanied with some kind of pain or discomfort? How likely is it that the flat pink spot is a herpes symptom?
This time he checked for herpes, also negative. He'd prescribed Nystatin/Triamcinolone ointment for a persistent redness on the crack of my buttocks, and when the herpes swab came back negative he told me to use that on the areas of the head and shaft of my penis. After about 5 days, they all but went away. About two weeks later two red circular areas reappeared on the left head of my penis and one on the right; the shaft was unaffected. I saw my dermatologist's PA who suspected psoriasis.
I was given nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream for balanitis. It has been several weeks and it is still hanging around. It seems like it begins to go away, but never fully does. After masturbation my penis looks red and irritated. I have gone about two weeks without masturbating because I was afraid that was not helping but it still remained. I am not circumsized. I'm keeping the area dry and using the cream as directed. My doctor asks that I keep using the cream.

Cephalexin 500 MG Caps (Antibiotic), Gentamicin Sulfate Cream (Topical Antibiotic), Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream (Antifungal and Steroid). For the first 10 days I was to take 3 capsules a day and use both creams twice a day. Within the first few days the infection, itching and dryness went away but the redness stayed. When I ran out of the capsules I noticed the pimples and dryness coming back a bit.
I did see a Dermatologist on 8/31/2010 and it appears to may have started (in her opinion) as contact dermatitis with subsequent secondary impexiginizuxier. She prescribed Cephalexin 500 mg capsules and Nystatin/Triamcinolone Topical ointment. It didn't, so I took the second pill. No results. Symptoms persisted. Then I was prescribed a topical nystatin-triamcinolone cream which hasn't been helping either. They took a sample from my vagina which they cultured and tested for fungus. The result was negative. Then I went to a gynecologist who told me my discharge was normal and that the itching is just irritation from everything I have been using.

I was prescribed Cipro 500 mg, twice a day and a topical cream, Nystatin and Triamcinolone. The same day, mostly out of fear, I went to the local STD clinic and received blood and urine work. I requested and took four pills and a shot in my upper buttocks, similar to what I did on September 10th..

I have a tube of topical Nystatin/Triamcinolone cream which at one point was for a yeast infection (never ended up using as it turned out to be something else) and was wondering if this could possibly help as I know the Tri is a steriod? If not then should he see a doctor for an oral steroid, Prednisone maybe? Please let me know as the poor guy is miserable! Thanks!
