Nuvaring side effects for men

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring side effects for men

nuvaring

Other than the heavier cycles and cramps, I really don't have other side effects. I have had it for about 7 months now and the cycles are becoming gradually lighter. The cramps are sometimes unreal, though! They pass quickly, but goodness, are they rough. I do notice that I spot for a week or so after my cycle. It's all totally worth it to me, though. I would much rather deal with this than have all the hormones in me.
It has to be FDA approved or they wouldnt be able to sell it. With any pill there are risks for side effects. Just make sure you dont smoke, your blood pressure is good, and your weight is reasonable. These can be huge factors when it comes to what side effects you could have. Good luck! I hope this helped!!
I had it for two years and it was great. No side effects whatsoever. And its 99% effective I really hate foams, gels condoms etc. The chemicals they use irritate me down there and the foam gets really sticky after a few minutes.
Its non-hormonal so I'm not acting all weird or having strange side effects. I also don't have to remember to take anything. It lasts for 10 years and can come out whenever and you shouldn't have issues getting pregnant right away when its out because for it being non-hormonal.
The best is that you don't have to remember to put anything in, no side effects since there's no hormones or bad chemicals involved. I wouldn't trust the foam plus, if you do get pregnant, there's some harsh chemicals there that could affect the pregnancy, in my opinion not based in fact. I'm always paranoid of chemicals. I switched to natural deodorant because of "chemicals".
Ive been on NuvaRing for 3 months now and my gyno told me i could keep it in for the 4 weeks and change it after bc there was no point in me having a period right now. About 2 weeks ago i started to get a light brown discharge and now it has gotten darker, but its not heavy until i work out, and doesnt hurt and im not haveing cramps or bloating. is this normal since i dont have my period monthly?
and sorry for my bad english For about 15 days I see 3 spots in my vision, on the left side of my right eye. It started as a shining L-shaped spot and I was able to see it with my eyes open or closed, it was like a patch of sunlight, the same as when we see the sun and after that remains a "shining mark" that reverses the colors, but in my case never left.
t the past 4 years) and I want something for piece of mind. Unlike most, I like the weight gain side effect of the pill. I struggle to keep on weight, I always have, and so I welcome that part. I also suffer from excrucitaing cramps when not on it and so the pill helps keep that at bay too. Any ideas ladies?
I used nuvaring for over a year, the first 8 months were awesome-no side effects. The last 4 were the worst of my life, it made me absolutely insane, crying for no reason, getting mad at everyone and everything, depressed, even thoughts of suicide. I took the ring out because everything in my life was perfect, great job, great boyfriend. I really had no reason to be depressed or upset, literally the next day after taking it out I felt better!
Because most p-v sex doesn’t provide the steady pressure and reliable stimulation women need for orgasm. During p-v sex, most men use an “in-out” motion that feels great for them, instead of the circular grinding motion that will stimulate the clitoris. So how about trading off once in awhile? Him first; then you—or vice-versa Your other question is in regards to the Nuvaring.
mood swings, weight gain, acne, headaches, light cramping from time to time, and lighter or eliminated periods. The side effects for me have been fairly mild--nothing I can't handle but they can be annoying, especially the mood swings.
I was thinking maybe trying the mini pill? says it has less side effects because it only made with progesterone...any personal info?
( Not sure about the chances of you being pregnant either. I have gotta say though if you dont want kids for at least another 4 years than you should go get on some kind of birth control and not rely on him pulling out. You will never control the situation if you leave the birth control to him. Plan B is NOT a form of birth control. It is an emergency contraceptive.
I started using Nuvaring a little over a week ago, and have had no unusual side-effects. Currently have a new boyfriend, slept with him for the first time yesterday. When we got up the sheets were bloody (like a 10 cm stain!) with normal, red, fresh blood, not period. Judging things, it happened during penetration, and then only, because we moved around, but its only in one place. I have not bled since(havent slept with him since yesterday either), and its definately not him either.
Hey anna -- I was on Seasonale for about 3 years... I loved it. I actually just switched though. I had NO side effects in the beginning - no spotting ever, and I LOVED only getting my period 4x a month. I switched because I found I was having side effects within the past 6 months or so - same thing happened with my sister - no side effects until a couple years in... weird.
I only recommend the paraguard if you are willing to ride out possible side effects for the 1st few months. I myself am planning to have it removed if problems persistat a year after insertion. Hope this helps.
I have been suffering from this intense, though not constant itchiness of hands and feet just under the skin for the last 10 months or so. No Diabetese, allergies or side effects have been identified. I tried taking B complex Vit and these helped temporarily. Itchiness seems more pronounced after a shower or when it is cold.( By the way I love cold drinks and AC environment) By chance I discovered that wearing socks and gloves releives the symptoms within 5 minutes or so.
I have had this problem for a long time. With different men. The smell lasts until I douche. It doesn't just last 2-3 days like everyone else. It's not as bad if he pulls out, but after a few times, it starts back again. I tested to see if it goes away on it's own without my douching and so far, im going on 3 months with the same odor. Slowly getting stronger. I've told my gyn about this yrs ago and she said that it's because he ejaculates inside.
There is a "dark side" to the Novasure treatment. There are serious side effects that I wish I knew of before I had it. All in all, I had the treatment which went fine. But then I had a side effect MONTHS after in that my period stopped coming OUT and started BACKING UP behind the uterine scar tissue left by the Novasure procedure. Then it started LEAKING out of my uterus into my abdomen. Pain...hideous "should I go the hospital?" type pain.
My therapist advised I take the Lexapro for 5 or 6 months and ween myself.... I think not... the side effects are worse than the actual anxiety symptoms.., and god forbid you try and stop taking the anti- depressants- they will surely send you over the edge with the anxiety sypmtoms... had I known all of this- I would have never ever taken a pill... There are lots of women out there like us....some of them drowning in there own fear.......I pray for them, us and me....
(Plus I have always been told that because of metabolic issues, and PCOS that it would be very hard for me to get pregnant). Anyway, not exactly proud of this, but I was with 2 different men in a two week time period.
I heard that the nuvaring birth control helps alot with women who are prone to yeast infection... I have been using it for about 3 years and it does help however I was married for the most part of that and maybe only got one or two but i mostly contributed that to receiving oral after my husband drank alot of beer...
I am currently waiting for af to arrive. 6 Home tests later, all negative. My mirena has been out now for 5 1/2 weeks. It was removed about 2 days after my period finished, just in time for ovulation. I had 3 days of removal bleeding and then 2 days of spotting a week later. And now nothing...... I feel pregnant, hubby is convinced I am pregnant but all the tests say not. I feel angry and betrayed by the mirena company.
You are using hormones in your body, so it is incredibly important you can identify side effects and know proper usage... including the fact that IF YOU MISS A PILL during your cycle, the pill instructs you to use another form of birth control for the entire following week. Yes, EVEN IF HE PULLS OUT you can become pregnant. 2-seconds, only near your vagina, 2-minutes, 2-hours. It is possible.
I have been on depo for three years now and have not experienced any side effects, not even weight gain, except this bleeding with orgasm. However, it comes and goes. Sometimes I bleed when I orgasm. Sometimes I don't. At first I figured, well my lining must be shedding and the contractions make the blood come out, but with all this talk of hysterectomies and endometriosis, I am kind of scared.
I wish there was something that could be done to lessen the side effects. Sometimes it seems so unfair. I really hope this is your month. Will keep the fingers crossed for you and everyone else in need of crossed fingers.
An update on my side - my pregnancy has progressed without major complication. I am now almost 34 weeks along. Meg - if it's any consolation, I conceived relatively easily despite having this problem (see my background posted in September). Since September, the bleeding stopped for a few weeks, came back, went away, came back etc over the past few months, and is currently not a problem.
Watch out for the hot flashes, headaches, and my personal favorites - the mood swings. These side effects lasted alll cycle for me. Also beware that many of the other side effects of clomid nausea, tender breasts, some cramping are also signs of early pregnancy. Good luck and SSBD to you!
To suggest a pharmaceutical solution that doesn't treat the actual problem, has significant side effects and needs ongoing monitoring to avoid dangerous complications is both an unneccesary expense and has the potential to complicate issues, adding problems on top of problems. I am not at all opposed to interventions, treatments or pharmaceuticals - even if they just relieve discomfort - but they should not be used willy-nilly.
) About one year into having Mirena, my periods stopped all together. Finally I could not handle the side effects anymore, so on Oct 4 2007 I had it removed. The day after, I started a light period that lasted for 4 days. Nothing since then. If my body was going to return to a 28 day cycle, I should have started 4 days ago. I have taken 3 over the counter tests. The first one had a VERY light positive result, the other two were both imediately negative.
