Nuvaring side effects for men

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring side effects for men

nuvaring

Avatar n tn I just looked up Nuvaring and it looks like chest pain and numbness on one side of the body are side effects. http://www.medhelp.org/drugs/NuvaRing/show/3399 I don't know if you would typically experience these symptoms so quickly though.
Avatar f tn I put the new ring in on May 22 and I feel like I may be having some increased side effects since then. The first few weeks I was on it I had a lot of cramping that felt like menstrual cramps, but for the past couple of weeks I've had a lot of nausea. I work at a grocery store and one day I had to run to the back because I thought I was going to throw up; I didn't and I was fine the next day.
1927233 tn?1326670387 ve tried in the past, so far I have no noticeable side effects, except I inserted the nuvaring on the first day of my period, over 2 weeks ago, and my period hasn't ended yet! Its very slowly transitioning from medium to light to very-light flow, with less normal discharge than I'm used to in the last day or two of my period. I also have constant cramps. Not enough to stop me from living but a constant pelvic ache.
Avatar f tn In women with inherited defects of lipid metabolism, there have been reports of significant elevations of plasma triglycerides during estrogen therapy. This has led to pancreatitis in some cases. I stopped using the Nuvaring immediately. Never during that whole time I was in the hospital or months afterwards did any doctor link the pancreatitis to the NuvaRing. I remember having bleeding in the hospital a week early even though the ring was still in.
11297526 tn?1417034765 Mild cramps for the past 5 days Headaches Fatigue According to the app I'm 3weeks. (If I am pregnant) I would like to hear your experiences is all. I'll be testing with an hpt soon.
304970 tn?1331425994 Laura~ It's normal. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months AFTER Getting off the depo. I had been on Depo 3 yrs and gained 50 lbs! I gain weight on ANY kind of hormonal BC no matter what level of hormones are in it. I put on 15 lbs with Nuvaring. You will have some breakthru bleeding or even bleeding on wierd days for about 3 months until your body gets used to nuvaring. Don't worry about it.
Avatar f tn My question is is there anyone else out there who is still experiencing side effects even after stopping the nuvaring? And how long does it take for the numbness and tingling to stop in your left arm and leg, it is quite annoying and not to mention scary.
Avatar f tn I was on the pill for years and came off of it to get an IUD which I got taken out after 8 months and started the Nuvaring. Coming off of the pill I LOST weight and felt better than ever... almost complete opposite...
Avatar f tn I've been looking into an IUD, never had the patch personally (was afraid it'd fall off or something) but I know I wouldn't recommend the implanon/nexplanon implant or Nuvaring, the implant causes crazy side effects and Nuvaring doesn't stay in for anything!
468832 tn?1324348961 I heard pretty good things about that, my ex gf was also on nuvaring and had little to none side effects.
Avatar n tn That's about how long I was on it too. I took mine out around June of last year and conceived in September, so it doesn't take long. That's the bonus of nuvaring, it's supposed to have little to no side effects when you take it out. I ended up miscarrying that conception at about 6 weeks, and haven't had luck yet since then, but at least I know I am indeed ovulating since I got pregnant once!
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response! Yeah, I don't want to get pregnant at all. But lately I've been having pains in my chest and in one of my legs. I don't know if it's related to the NuvaRing but some of the side-effects are scary. Like blood clots and heart attacks. I just don't want to be a victim to those. But it seems like all birth controls have some sort of risk involved in them. That's why I was looking at paragard since it's a hormone-free method.
1399033 tn?1449587779 I have paraguard. So far I have no real complaints. Its non-hormonal so I'm not acting all weird or having strange side effects. I also don't have to remember to take anything. It lasts for 10 years and can come out whenever and you shouldn't have issues getting pregnant right away when its out because for it being non-hormonal.
Avatar n tn Because most p-v sex doesn’t provide the steady pressure and reliable stimulation women need for orgasm. During p-v sex, most men use an “in-out” motion that feels great for them, instead of the circular grinding motion that will stimulate the clitoris. So how about trading off once in awhile? Him first; then you—or vice-versa Your other question is in regards to the Nuvaring.
17435300 tn?1456682805 Hey ladies, I have been on the nuvaring for almost a month now and have noticed uncontrollable and almost debilitating mood swings. I have literally cringed, cried and felt like I was crawling out of my very own skin and for no REAL reason. It has greatly effected my relationships. The main site says that common side effects are mood swings, including depression. I do have a history of being emotionally unstable.
Avatar f tn Hello Doctors and fellow fibroid strugglers. I'm 37 years old and have been struggling with a life changing posterior uterine fibroid that has been growing the past 3 years. It first started giving me pain at 3x3cm and now its 5x6cm. I have had 2 Gyn Drs tell me to leave it alone unless I had severe pain. I have dealt with severe back pain, severe bloating, lower pelvic pain traveling down to my knee and sometimes pain to the point of nausea and keeling over in bed until the Advil kicked in.
Avatar f tn It is possible, yes. With NuvaRing, you need to use condoms for a month for it to be fully effective. However, you are definitely playing with fire. It makes no difference if you ovulate a few days later, as sperm last 5 days on average in the female body and 7 in perfect conditions. While calenders are helpful, they are by no means exact. It's safer to assume there is no safe time. You need to wait 2 weeks and take a pregnancy test with first morning urine.
Avatar n tn i had an endometriosis to my left and right ovary, can u please help me what is the best medicine to cure my endometriosis,my ob gave me ladogal, but it had so many side effects to me.what should i do?i want to have a child,is it possible for us to have a baby?
Avatar f tn s no removing it to try to keep the side effects from continuing if you are unlucky and experience them. There is the implant, which gets implanted under your skin and diffuses the hormones to you all the time. Then, there's the patch, which you put on your skin (I'm not entirely certain if it's daily, weekly, or what, but your doctor would tell you.) so it diffuses the hormones as well.
3053649 tn?1356365017 I had the implanon implant (now nexplanon) and it made me gain 30 pounds and then I found out I was very much allergic to it. If the Nuva ring gave you any nasty side effects, don't go for the nexplanon, it's the same thing, different method. I have the paragard (copper) iud now and have had it two weeks. So far I'm really liking it. I've had several friends with it and they've loved it.
Avatar f tn d like the Nuvaring, you get your period and insert it for 3wks, remove and repeat the process! Very easy, and not noticeable during sex. It helped me until I was ready to get pregnant. After babies born I'm going back on it!
486867 tn?1307139011 Hi my DH has been on Clomid for almost 2 months. He just started having vision problems. For the last couple of weeks he's been seeing floaters in the right side of vision. I called my RE office a few days ago and they said for him to start taking every other day instead of everyday and well see if that helps. Does anyone know if this side effect is really bad or if it can cause long term damage?
