Nuvaring side effects bleeding

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring side effects bleeding

nuvaring

(until I have surgery in 6 months) I get really bad side effects with any hormonal birth control I've tried in the past, so far I have no noticeable side effects, except I inserted the nuvaring on the first day of my period, over 2 weeks ago, and my period hasn't ended yet! Its very slowly transitioning from medium to light to very-light flow, with less normal discharge than I'm used to in the last day or two of my period. I also have constant cramps.
It can cause side effects in few woman while may not in others. Some women may have undesirable side effects while using birth control methods. But many women adjust to it with few or no problems.Nuvaring causes bleeding between periods, breast tenderness, nausea and vomiting. It may cause increased vaginal discharge, vaginal irritation, or infection. It is not possible for it to produce effects within 24 hours of its use. For more details and assistance visit your gynecologist. Hope it helped.
Hi there, Nuvraing can cause few side effects which are common in first 2-3 months. The common effects seen are bleeding between periods and/or brown discharge between periods and long standing brown vaginal discharge. When used as directed, NuvaRing may be almost 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. I do not think that you could be pregnant. Do consult your gynecologist for more queries and concerns. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
I think your mother should be proud that you are using protection. If you want a list of side effects google Nuvaring and you will find some info. Best of Luck!!
Well I started the Nuvaring on the 17th of February... the first day of my period which is what the doctor told me to do. Its now the 8th of March and Im still bleeding. Very lightly, but its enough to have me wear a liner every single day. Last night I woke up feeling extremely sick. Today, this morning, I started vomiting. Could I be pregnant? Is there a chance? Its so confusing because there have been so many women who have gotten pregnant while using a birth control contraceptive.
I experienced the side effects I was told could happen, worse cramps and heavier bleeding. I am fine with these because my choice for birth control is very limited because I get blood clots and cannot take the pill. However, I am wondering if anyone has experienced a decrease in thier sex drive becasue of it. I am only 29 years old, married to a very wonderful and attractive man, but honestly I could care less about sex.
Is it like saying just taking longer birth control pills? What are the side effects? What are the benefits? Has FDA approved? Where i can search more about Yaz? Will it affect my future plan of having a healthy pregnancy? Also, i was told if i do want to get pregnant, i should wait 6 months after taking the birth control pills. is that true?
LIke OCPs, this may also cause hormonal changes and may lead to side effects such as headache, weight gain and even possible breakthrough bleeding. However, I recommend that you inform your gynecologist about this for proper management. It is also best that you discuss the working diagnosis and management plan with him or her. Take care and do keep us posted.

I have recently started using the Nuvaring and had many side effects including lack in my sex drive, stomach ache, tightness in my calfs and discomfort down there. So I took it out after 7 days and now am on nothing. It has been out for 2 days and have started bleeding like a period but its 2 weeks early. I am scared and want to know if it is normal.
It worked for a while and then it started getting screwed up again. Now I am on Nuvaring and I am not bleeding irregularly anymore, but I have had the same problem you have since I started birth control. I have not masturbated without heavy bleeding (very very dark blood) since I started the depo as I recall, and most of the time I bleed throughout and/or after intercourse. I had the same result on my papsmear as well, so there must be a connection.
I took it out yesterday, after the three weeks and I'm not planning to put it back because of all the side effects but I want this bleeding to stop, it's abnormal and it's driving me insane. I'm passing through a LOT of blod cloths, I had very very low abdominal pains, sharp pains, nausea, no sex drive, always tired, no energy and breast tenderness. I took a pregnancy test and I'm not pregnant.
I was thinking it was either implantation bleeding or ovualtion bleeding am just not sure, i have heard implantation bleeding usually occurs around the time your period is due, but is it possible i could have ovualted earlier than usual so implantation bleeding has occured earlier, or ovualtion bleeding? Has anyone had bleeding for 5 days or more in early pregnancy, after a period to later find out they were indeed pregnant?
A few months ago I started bleeding vaginaly during a bowel movement which still happends often...it also happends during and after intercourse. I have been tested for STD's and everything was all negative I have even had an ultrasound done and nothing. I am waiting to get a pap done. Anyways I am sooo frusterated and have been reading alot about cervical cancer so now I am scared that I might be having symptoms of cervical cancer.
I started using Nuvaring a little over a week ago, and have had no unusual side-effects. Currently have a new boyfriend, slept with him for the first time yesterday. When we got up the sheets were bloody (like a 10 cm stain!) with normal, red, fresh blood, not period. Judging things, it happened during penetration, and then only, because we moved around, but its only in one place. I have not bled since(havent slept with him since yesterday either), and its definately not him either.
Nuvaring is an effective method of birth control but may produce side effects in few women. It can cause headchae, nausea, vaginitis, weight gain and breakthrough bleeding in few women. If you are not planning pregnancy consult a gynecologist for the most suitable birth control method. . This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. Hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
vaginal spotting or breakthrough bleeding, dizziness are few common side effects of Nuvaring. If HPTs are negative it is possible that your body is adjusting to the changing hormone levels. For more queries and assistance visit your gynecologist. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
I have heard to wait 2 weeks after i stop bleeding to take a test, some say ok to test while bleeding and others say to wait a few days after I stop. Im not really trying to get pregnant but I would be happy if I was. Anyone have any advice? My periods have never been regular but my husband and I are stressed wondering if i am pregnant. Im thinking it wont hurt to test now while bleeding, in a few days after i stop and then maybe again in a few weeks. Thank you for all your help.
Hello, If you are not using Nuvaring as directed bleeding and spotting may occur while using it. Breast tenderness or enlargement; change in appetite; changes in weight; dizziness; headache; mild hair loss; nausea; nervousness; stomach cramps or bloating; vaginal spotting or breakthrough bleeding, dizziness are few common side effects of Nuvraing.A clinical examination is extremely important for correct diagnosis of your symptoms. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. Keep me posted.
I was having mild period like cramps with the brown spotting but now with the bleeding i have a pain on the left side of my pelvic region. I haven't taken a preg test yet bc i am waiting until a week after my period would normally start to get the best results. I was doing research and found that this could be a symptom of numerous things. (PID, ectopic preg, ovarian cysts, etc. ) has anyone else found out anything?
YES! It can cause diabetes! It is listed as glucose intolerance in the side effects. I went though 8 months of #@!& on nuvaring. I went to the doc because I wad exhausted all of the time, fuzzy brained, and starting to loose my hair. When I asked if it could be the birth control, my question was dismissed. They tried to put me on all of this medication for slightly elevated blood sugar. I refused. I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne.
I heard pretty good things about that, my ex gf was also on nuvaring and had little to none side effects.
I put on 15 lbs with Nuvaring. You will have some breakthru bleeding or even bleeding on wierd days for about 3 months until your body gets used to nuvaring. Don't worry about it. Just make sure that you check placement 3x a day (with your finger) OR before BD'ing just in case it comes out. I never had it come out but I"ve known ppl who did constantly due to how their pelvis was shaped.....
Well I have Endometriosis which is a medical condition and the only way to stop the pain is to suppress the period so I take the BCP continuously and have for the last 7 yrs. I have had no side effects however I had no choice but to do this and I am not sure what the long term side effects will be only time will tell.
I only had the implant three months. The only side effects I've had from the iud is irregular bleeding. But I'm not sure if its still post partum bleeding since I've only stopped for a couple days at a time. But even still cramping and bleeding is common the first three months. I got it bc it's non hormonal.
I'm on progesterone now (been on this for a year) the good thing is that it FINALLY stopped my periods and sometimes my pain. (stopping bleeding is goal) but the bad side is that I'm suffering with horrible side effects such as hot flashes (I get them like every 5-10 minutes. It's horrible! Then they will stop) weight gain (but I have been controlling with a strict diet plan) mood swings, depression, hair loss...etc.
