Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring reviews weight loss

nuvaring

Avatar m tn I changed birth control in the last month from Nuvaring (which i believed to be the cause of my vaginal irritation) to the OrthoEvra Patch. I have been attributing my lack of sex drive to our lack of privacy, as we don't see each other often, but I'm not sure if that's just my way of masking my problems. Please help, I'm extremely distressed. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Well I started the Nuvaring on the 17th of February... the first day of my period which is what the doctor told me to do. Its now the 8th of March and Im still bleeding. Very lightly, but its enough to have me wear a liner every single day. Last night I woke up feeling extremely sick. Today, this morning, I started vomiting. Could I be pregnant? Is there a chance? Its so confusing because there have been so many women who have gotten pregnant while using a birth control contraceptive.
1238678 tn?1321857976 I was/am really concerned about side effects as well, mortified that I might experience some of the really bad ones such as memory loss, weight gain, mood swings...but, thankfully, (fingers crossed) so far so good. I do think though that after the next shot is when I may begin to experience them, since then is when I presume I may stop having a period and hormones will be in full swing. =( I'm nervous. And I understand your concern completely!
Avatar m tn m also interested in finding out if there are other medically supervised weight-loss programs in the Chester/Chesterfield, South Richmond, or Tri-Cities areas - so far, Hall-Harris is the nearest one I can find! Thanks for sharing!
Avatar f tn I've had pills and nuvaring. I'm in the same boat as you. I forgot pills. I'm scared the shot will make me gain weight. I'm allergic to latex so can't use the patch. My doctor won't do IUDs for personal reasons which I agree with. My coworker got the implanon and she is allergic to it and itches like crazy and she said it really hurts. I think I'll end up going back on nuvaring. I didn't gain weight.
Avatar m tn i bought 3 months supply at the apidexin website after viewing alor of reviews of people claiming that it really works with fast and amazing results. Been taking it for a week now and i havent noticed no weight loss or increased energy. I was already eating less and watching the food i eat so kept that the same and nothing. Has anyone else tried this product? Usually in the reviews they claimed to see avg. 5lbs less in a week.
7600327 tn?1393358885 OK so... on March 2nd I found out I had a miscarriage & on the 5th I had a full D&C and was told that would be the first day of my new cycle. Now although I was told not to have set before my follow up appointment I did. The day of my follow up which was March 20th, I was told everything looked good & I went back on the Nuvaring. Ever since then I've been on a major weight loss kick, but in the meantime I've been feeling nauseous.

Avatar f tn Hey! I was on the depo shot years ago. I didn't get my period for 3 years and I really, really loved that aspect. As for the weight gain it is true but here is how it breaks down (as recently told to me by my gyno). The depo shot has a tendency to make you hungrier than usual. So, it's not arbitarily making you gain weight, it's what you put in your mouth that makes you gain weight. I didn't have any hair loss while I was on it.
Avatar f tn d like to get down to 114ibs (52kgs) but I already eat healthy due to weight loss a couple of years ago but now the weight doesn't seem to want to budge, please could I have some advice on what to do to get the weight loss going:)
Avatar f tn Toward the end of July I took out my Nuvaring and discontinued my use of it because of all the side affects that I have recently become aware of. I am not on any other type of BC at the moment but for the last week or more my nipples have been EXTREMELY sore..so sore that a touch makes me cringe and back away immediately. After removing the Nuvaring, I got my period from July 29th-Aug 1 so I am due to get it again in about a week.
Avatar f tn Highly unlikely. There is really no supplement that will help you lose weight and keep it off except those that increase your metabolism, and that will be temporary as well. This is just an amino acid supplement with colostrum, which is a very odd thing to put in a weight loss product. This substance is naturally only found in the first batches of mother's milk of mammals and helps to build an infant's immune system. Have no idea how it would help you lose weight.
Avatar f tn I have been on ortho-tricyclen lo and loestrin 24 and had all the same symptoms... depression, anxiety, panic attacks, headaches, hair loss, weight gain. My doctor said nuva ring would be better but I don't believe her. The worst for me is the emotional issues. When it's happening, it's hard to believe that it's the pill causing it, and that you're maybe not actually going crazy. I guess some women can handle it and some can't.
5121963 tn?1363905257 Then they will stop) weight gain (but I have been controlling with a strict diet plan) mood swings, depression, hair loss...etc. I'm sick of it and it's only making me more depressed because I want to be ME again...A happy girl! So I talked to my doctor about this and he suggested NuvaRing to stop my periods. I felt like I was pressured into getting it as my doctor just saw me smile and he said "okay..I'll order that for you.
Avatar f tn To be cautious, I have never been on pills or any other systematic hormone-related contraception (e.g. Nuvaring, patch, shots etc). It seems my best bet would be IUD. I read a lot of archives on Mirena and ParaGard here and else where. I cannot decide which one to take. Most Mirena users are happy with it. Some reported weight gain and mood change. In addition, very few women were diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after they had Mirena inserted.
1250698 tn?1371351279 I've been on Ortho-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo, Nuvaring. The types I have not tried was progesterone only, shots, IUD, and implants. Nuvaring was my latest and that was the worst experience I have ever had. Every single type I have used, I have had the same symptoms: nausea, headaches, dizziness, irregular cycles, spotting, weight gain, and mood swings. Since May of this year, I have been doing it naturally, but I am still trying to figure out when I ovulate...
Avatar f tn Im thinking abt getting on the nivaring. is there any weight gain or anything. Has anyone had any problems with the nuvaring since yhall neen on it... Can someone give me some information abt it... Thanks....
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.
