nuvaring in a day late

A few months ago I had a light period for 1 day, it stopped and 24 hours later started again. The next month I had a light 3 day period. This month I am late. I am suposed to put the ring in tonight but I havent started by period yet. I took a home pregnancy test todag and it was negative. Can the Nuvaring stop periods even when I take it out for a week? Also, I only have one ovary.

i bought a test for the hell of it and it said PREGNANT! i was in complete shock because i had been on the nuvaring for a while! i used at end of JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER and found out i was pregnant in october!!! birth control is never 100 % and i am proof cause i never messed up with my nuvaring the second go around!

Okay so for the past 3 months I have been a day late on putting in my nuvaring. I use to put in on sundays. Then I put it in on Monday. The next month, Tuesday and now Wednesday. Well it's currently Monday. I usually have my period 3 days after taking my nuvaring out. It's been 5 days since I took it out and still no period. Should I be worried because I was being irresponsible and putting it in a day late..?

Hello everyone! Had a question regarding nuvaring! I've had a really busy week at work, and I'm normally religious about starting my ring on time! For some reason this week I can't seem to remember if I started my ring on time, or if I started it a day later than I should have. Either way, DH and I had sex on Saturday night! Is there a possibility of pregnancy if I did, in fact, start the ring a day later than I should? Should i get emergency contraception? Just curious! Thank you!

Took Nuvaring out 1/18, period started 1/20, inserted Nuvaring 2/3 days late i believe on Thursday 1/27. Had unprotected sex, husband ejaculated in me 1/30. Are chances high I could be pregnant? Could i have had some form of protection even though the ring was in me for about 3 days??

Do I count day one as the day I took the ring out, or day one as the first day there are visible signs of my period?

on it so i switched to NUVARING except now after a month i took it out to start my period and im not starting. Its been six days. I put in a new ring tomorrow but without a period? Iv taken tests and there negative. Has anyone else gone through this with nuvaring?

my girlfriend was supposed to put in her new nuvaring on sunday night but was a day late and didn't put it in till monday. it says on the directions if this happens you should use backup protection for 7 days. we didn't wait 7 days and had unprotected sex on friday night (day 9 of cycle) and no withdrawal method was used. she refused to take plan b because she claimed she couldn't get pregnant. im freaking out now....what are the chances she got pregnant?

i started Nuvaring 3 weeks ago yesterday when i was supposed to ive had sex w/o protection quite a few times since. i was on the nuvaring but put it in a day late and took it out last tuesday on may 5th and usually get my period on the friday following. some women get pregnant as soon as they stop birth control. for others it take until you get your first menstral cycle. then you know you are ovulating again. I quit my birth control in December. I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen. I didn't have a menstral cycle until February 10th. now I'm 13 days late. and getting negative pregnancy test. but good luck to you and I hope everything works outs.

t know that the condom broke until the next day when a piece of it came out in discharge. i was a few hours late on my birthcontrol that day and it was taken about ten minutes before intercourse. my period is due in six days also.

This happened to me like a year ago I went to the Dr 5 days after heavy bleeding and blood clots went through a box of tampons and half a bag of pads in one day it was so bad thought it was a misscarriage. Turns out it was an estrogen withdral. I put a new ring in when my period stopped then a few days later it came back so I took it out again. It caused my body to react crazy.

I was on the pill for a while and the same thing happened. What wound up working for you?

So it only took a month. My husband and I had sex every day (yes there was the odd day we didnt but it was everyday for the most part) I laid in bed for about 15 minutes after sex before getting up and cleaning down there. Dont just have sex "when your ovulating" as you have better luck having sex at all times of your cycle so you know you dont miss your O day. Make sure you are taking Folic acid pills or prenatal vitamins NOW.

Hi there, So I hope someone knows more about this. I'm on the NuvaRing and as it is quite a new thing, my doctor doesn't know it, I find that the instruction booklet and the website both give only very basic information about how it works and it doesn't help me at all when something unusual occurs.

I took out the NuvaRing on May 6th but did not have my period. So I put it back in 7 days later. On the 7th day I noticed around my nipples were sore and still to this day they are still sore. So is there a chance I could be pregnant or could his be due to the NuvaRing?

So this situation might be a little difficult. Be a use your period could end up being late due to going on and off BC, but just wait and see. Good luck.
