I changed birth control in the last month from Nuvaring (which i believed to be the cause of my vaginal irritation) to the OrthoEvra Patch. I have been attributing my lack of sex drive to our lack of privacy, as we don't see each other often, but I'm not sure if that's just my way of masking my problems. Please help, I'm extremely distressed. Thank you.

The nuvaring always made me have weird symptoms. I swear I thought I was pregnant all the time. I never was. But if you had unprotected sex and then put it in... well you had unprotected sex. Birth control isn't going to work until a week after you put it in which is why they say to double up the method. Best thing to do is wait until you're supposed to take it out and take a pregnancy test. Or take one now since you would have had sex 2 weeks ago and it should be pretty accurate.

I am experiencing the same on the nuva ring and really wanting to tell my husband I don't want to use it anymore. I thought I may be the only one experiencing that. I also had yeast. Sex was good before the nuvaring and there is no way it's not the nuvaring as your doctor may try and tell you so. I am scared to have sex because of how it may feel. I had sex with my husband yesterday and I'm still feeling discomfort today when I use the restroom like it's irrated.

I thought I was late with changing my nuvaring , so I took it out and put a new one instead. Couple minutes later I noticed that I had a miscalculation and I was ok with the time, so i put back the old nuvaring and returned the newly opened one to the bag. My question is , what should I do with the one I have opened? Is it still ok to be used or should I throw it away?

I also started bleeding this morning!!! Does anyone who lives in the chicago area know of any good doctors!!???

I had my beautiful baby girl, skye maddison on 26th April via csection. i am so happy but now i really need to look at contraceptives as i have 3 kids and don't plan on having anymore (atleast not any time soon lol). Looking for some advice on what's good as I've only ever used condoms which i hate cause i can't feel anything and i had the rod in my arm but had to have it removed cause i got really bad depression on it.

I visit Dr Kecia Gerlach at Bayard obgyn.. but i guess u first have to take a call on the hospital bcoz they have to be affiliated with the hospital... second deciding factor would be if the doctor is covered by your insurance as out of network care could be expensive... i started Nuvaring 3 weeks ago yesterday when i was supposed to ive had sex w/o protection quite a few times since. I was supposed to start my period yesterday Im NEVER late early if anything I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant and that its just not showing up positive yet?

I am sorry to hear about your issues with nuvaring. I had started the nuvaring for perimenopause issues my gyn said would help. No docs Ive talked to since have heard of this being used for anything other than birth control my but tubs have been tied for years.After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.

So I got my nexplanon removed march 4th, I went and got the nuvaring. Needless to say I forgot it in my car for a few days had intercourse with hubby then remembered I had not put in my nuvaring... dumb me I know!!! Now for almost a week ive been having pregnancy symptoms.. like double the intensity I had with both my children. Ive been readin online and it says to effectivly switch from implant to nuvaring it needs to be in for 7 days before implant removal.

but the effects in long run could end a relationship if you never ever have the want or need for sex, i mean come on doctors, there is got to be another way....Im off of it for good. Good luck ladies...Just say No to Nuvaring!

I was using the nuvaring for about 5-6 months, have stopped and ttc but everythings haywire! very irregular periods and its been 5 months since i took it out, not preg... I just want to hear other peoples experiences with the nuvaring, and if they had any similar problems with it...

I just decided to get on birth control & my Dr. has put me on Nuvaring. I was using condoms before & just got tired of them. I have now been using Nuvaring for a little over a week now, & am currently not taking any other drugs (just on the ring). Everything has been fine until today... I am now experiencing chest pain. I do not have a family history of any blood clotting issues, but I am concerned because I have read some of the horror stories on-line.

I'm on the birth control method NuvaRing , I was told to put the ring in on Sunday after my cycle. I have to keep it in for 3weeks then take it out and repeat.Some days I forget to put it in or to refill my prescription. I was wondering if when I do remember is it Ok to put it in . For example I forget on Sunday so I put it in on a Thursday ?/Can I do this and still be protected or the method doesn't work if I do this ? All feedback is appreciated.

All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

took nuvaring out the week my i was supposed to have my period had unprotected sex then got my period the day is there a chance I could still be pregnant?

Uh, you are supposed to replace every month, the nuvaring is only good for 3 weeks at a time. Unless you are trying to get pregnant or get an infection of some kind I would recommend changing it out and making sure you aren't already pregnant before putting in a new one, hormones in birth control can cause harm to an unborn baby.

I started using the NuvaRing on April 15th and before I used the IUD. I took out the NuvaRing on May 6th but did not have my period. So I put it back in 7 days later. On the 7th day I noticed around my nipples were sore and still to this day they are still sore. So is there a chance I could be pregnant or could his be due to the NuvaRing?

Good luck on starting tx and obtaining SVR, I think with these new drugs the chances are excellent! I am on week 13 of tx, and 5 weeks with Vic. My white blood count dropped pretty fast, so that I was on weekly Neupogen injections by week 5. The doc said I had an excellent response to Interferon apparently. My hemoglobin started at 14 and by week 12 was down to 10. The doc just reduced my Riba from 1000 mg to 800.

We had sex on Sunday before I was due to put my nuvaring in that day and all was normal. Sunday night, I inserted my nuvaring and starting monday I have had the worst vagina odor ever. I smelled it Monday, washed it and went on my way but it doesn't go away. It is not a fishy smell, it is a foul rotten smell. My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. I had unprotected sex today. I recently started on Nuvaring and was told I needed 7 days for it to become effective. Today is the 7th day. Should I take a Plan B just in case?

Thank you for telling your expierence to me. It sounds like you had good luck with the NuvaRing...it makes me want to try it now to see. I just hope it works and doesn't create the horrible pain I was in not to long ago. It would be great to not have the yucky symptoms anymore though!
