My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. It is so irregular that I could bleed any time of the month at any intensity for any period of time. This past one was so bad that I had to sleep with a heating pad nightly. What could this mean?
Im on the NuvaRing..and i never use to smell like fish but now that im using it i smell....can any one help me is this normal..??
I just started the Nuvaring 3 weeks ago. I'll be taking out my first one tomorrow and inserting a new one right away. I think I've used it correctly so far. I inserted it on the first day of my period, and even waited an additional 7 days just to be sure it had kicked in before having sex without another form of protection.
Since starting, I've had alot of nausea, diarrhea, dark brown discharge, some cramping, and extreme mood changes.
Hi board! I had a question for you! I just finished my 3rd month of using the NuvaRing. I recently switched from Yaz that I had been on for years. My question is that my "period" came on the day is usually does (4th day after I take out the ring), and my "period" this time is all very light, brownish discharge! Only a couple of times have I seen a hint of red in the discarge!
Over the past three or four months I've been having strange discharge on occasion. For me, thick off white very slightly yellowish discharge is normal for me. Has been this way all my life. Recently it has been the same, but with the occasional clump of opaque thick off white mucus like material. It it's not fertile discharge in the least. It is entirely too clump like and not very stretchy, though it's obviously different from the regular sort I have.
Has anyone had any problems with the nuvaring since yhall neen on it... Can someone give me some information abt it... Thanks....
Many people have experienced pains and light bleeding while having intercourse and using nuvaring. It seems to affect everyone differently, but it's very likely the nuvaring is the source of your problems. I would suggest trying a different form of birth control, as this one is obviously not for you.
Hi my name is Dee, Im 20. I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I am really confused. Please help!!
I recently stopped using Nuvaring after about 11 months. Over the last month I have gained about 6 pounds with no change in my diet and a big increase in my exercise. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, everytime I get on the scale, I have gained more weight! Now, today, I got my 1st "non-BC" period and it is extremely heavy, which is very unusual for me. Has anyone else had weight gain issues after stopping BC? If so, how long did it take for those issues to resolve?
I had sex about 2 weeks ago (with a condom) and since then I've had quite a bit of discharge, and I usually don't. I've been waiting for my period to come, its now the 22nd and Im not sure if I should be nervous our not. I just got off of the nuvaring about 2-3 months ago, so could my body still be adjusting to getting off of that and why my period is late? Discharge seems normal, not stinky. Should I be nervous?
I had the birth control removed on October 23rd and had unprotected sex 2 hours before removal and did not get the nuvaring in until 2 hours after removal. I no longer have the nuvaring as of November 6st due to it making me sick. All pregnancy tests show negative but they showed negative for my son s well. I didnt find out about his pregnancy until 18-20 weeks via ultrasound. I had a small amount of pinkish discharge when i wiped about 5 days ago and again 2 days later.
OK so about two months ago my discharge started getting heavier but I thought it was just from my birth control the nuva ring. But then it started turning to a yellowish cloudy color and an odor came along with that. Just recently I started bleeding during sex. The discharge is pretty heavy and the smell wont go away. I had a pap smear done in the beginning of january and it was normal. Whats going on?
I started my using Nuvaring about a month and a half now and am currently on my second ring. I put a new ring in about 3 weeks after I inserted the first ring and skipped my period. I've been having a lot of white discharge that smells like period blood and sometimes when I wipe I can tell it's a light brown period that won't go away. Is this normal has anyone else had this happen or gone back to your dr for it?
today i got light pink/brown discharge, and a couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and i had sexual intercourse with a condom, but i didn't know that the condom broke until the next day when a piece of it came out in discharge. i was a few hours late on my birthcontrol that day and it was taken about ten minutes before intercourse. my period is due in six days also.
I decided to take my birth control, called nuvaring, out just in case that was what was causing the irritation. In the past, I have treated about 6 yeast infections through prescription and over the counter medications. I have also used home remedies such as yogurt, garlic, and baking soda to relief the itching. I’m not sure if this is another yeast infection, or some sort of reaction I have having to my birth control, the nuvaring.
I was suppose to remove my nuvaring on the 2nd week of October and I never did. It's February now, and just today (2/14/09) I removed it. My last period was on January 10th and after that I've been sexually active w/o protection. I have noticed pinkish and brown discharge. This has been going on for about a week now and no period yet. so i've been on the nuvaring for about 1 and a half to two years now. 2 days before i was suppose to take my ring out i got a brown reddish discharge which has never happened before. i usually take my ring out and then get my period. i'm still waiting to get my period it usually appears 2 to 3 days after i take the ring out. i'm just really concerned cause ive read a lot of sites and some women say they got their period for months but still ended up being months pregnant.

I have been getting small paperlike cuts around the creases of my labia minora for a few months now. I also noticed white discharge from my urethra with NO odor at all. The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.
about 2 months after receiving my negative tests from the doctor I started a new birth control...Nuvaring. I kept the ring in for 1 month and my symptoms subsided but when my period came my bleeding was light and I had the worst cramps I have ever had in my life. I passed what I at first thought was a blood clott, but when i looked closer I realized it was not bloody. It was a moderate sized piece of skin about the size of a computer mouse and shaped like a pear.
On Oct. 17 I took my NuvaRing out and then I had my period Oct. 22-26 and was supposed to put the ring back in on the Oct. 24. I did not put it in until Nov. 1st, 8 days late. My husband and I had sex without condoms or any other contraceptive on Oct. 28th and Nov. 4th. My WomanLog app has my ovulation forecast on the 6th.

Yesterday I experienced light-brown tinted discharge (that i only noticed from my toilet paper) and today the discharge has become slightly darker but only a little bit is present. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend 2-4 days after i got off my period. We have not had sex since, considering that we live far apart. Could this be implantation spotting or is it too early?
Side note: I'm a bulimic but I had not purged until the 14th day of my cycle.
