Nuvaring brown discharge

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring brown discharge

nuvaring

I know that the ring can cause women to completely skip their periods from time to time too...but, this dark brown period was alarming! Is dark brown discharge a sign of pregnancy? Like, does it meant that your period is trying to stop?
I decided not to use it anymore because of the depressive symptoms I was experiencing and the rapid and unhealthy weight gain that it caused. Since I've stopped using nuvaring, I have been having a heavy brown discharge every day. What is this discharge, why is it happening and how can I make it stop?
I am on the nuvaring birth control and I took the ring out to have intercourse and forgot to replace it for 2 days. I am now having blood and brown discharge. Could I be pregnant? Or is this simply because I messed up with the nuvaring?
The common effects seen are bleeding between periods and/or brown discharge between periods and long standing brown vaginal discharge. When used as directed, nuvaring may be almost 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. I do not think that you could be pregnant. Do consult your gynecologist for more queries and concerns. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
My last period was on January 10th and after that I've been sexually active w/o protection. I have noticed pinkish and brown discharge. This has been going on for about a week now and no period yet. Also I have tested negative on 2 home pregnancy tests. What could this possibly mean? Is there a possibility of being pregnant even if I have tested negative?
I'm on the nuvaring and when my period is on its way out i get that same creamy brown/tan tinted discharge. While on the nuvaring i notice that i have more of a discharge then I normally would. Also I have a tendancy to get yeast infections now because of it so watchout for that. But al i can say is when you go to the restroom make sure to wipe well, maybe get some of those Summer Eve feminine wipes (they help with odor) Otherwise i'd say Tampons help withthe discharge or use pads.
I had brown vaginal discharge for about 2 weeks now and sometimes there are tints of red (which I think may be blood).. Why is my discharge lasting for weeks? I am actually pretty sure that I will be having my period on the 20th because I always get it on the 20th. HELP!
i have been having dark brown discharge for the passed 5 days. This morning it was like my period there was blood but it goes back to being just brown again by the end of the day sometimes so light i barley notice. I dont know what to even think?? You got any ideas?
I immediately rushed to the bathroom after to find that I had what looked like a brown discharge, and shortly after I started bleeding. I have been bleeding for two days now.. What do I do..?
June 24th I had light brown discharge only lasting during the evening. June 27th I started getting back pain which usually comes before my period June 28th (I think should have been CD1) more back pain and my breasts hurt (normal) but no bleeding June 29th I started having a little brown discharge only showing when I wiped. Back and breast pain wasnt as bad. Back pain kept coming and going. Today June 30th i still have little brown discharge only when I wipe. And sometimes I dont even see it.
Hi my name is Amber I have been on the nuvaring for about 7 years now and I am a very regular person my last period ended September 27th and my next period was suppose to start October 23rd as I am doing the 28 days cycle but on the 23rd all I got was this brown discharge and well that was it I took a test it was negative by the 26th there was maybe a little more brown discharge but that was it, I didn't know what to do I didn't want to put my nuvaring in and mess up anything so I called my doct

I know nothing about the nuvaring but I did have Chryo years ago. I had a clear discharge for about a week which I was told to expect and then it went away. I seem to recall feeling a bit dryer than normal but I never had a problem with excessive discharge. You seem to have been very used to it and now it is completely gone. Hopefully the nuvaring will work to restoring you to a normal feeling again. But I have to say, and maybe I am wrong, but that sounds like a pretty odd reason to have Cyro.
Starting on March 6th I had some light brown discharge off and on for a week but no real blood.I took a pregnancy test last week when i was suppose to start and it came out negative.Im still having cramping, getting hot easy, and my breasts started feeling sore off and on since the 13th and the backache isnt going away.now my hips are feeling achy since this past Saturday and I have to urinate more often.I'm miserable and cranky from this.
I have been on nuvaring for about one and a half months now. I use it excactly as directed. I keep it in the fridge before I use it, I insert it and leave it in for three weeks and take it out for exactly seven days before inserting a new one. I came from Lybrel birth control in which I havn't had a period for about two years. At the begining of this month, my first period on the ring was very normal, lasting about 5 or 6 days. I put a new ring in on Oct.
I've been on nuvaring since May? I just stopped taking it because the excess discharge is driving me crazy and I hate how it dries up in my underwear. And I was only taking BC for my periods and cramps during puberty. Glad I'm not the only one. But for those who have blood it brown, that's not normal. My discharge was white like it should be. Its too bad it does that otherwise I would have stayed on it. I loved it and had no real negative side effects, just the one inconvenient one.
on those 23rd I assumed I was getting my period because I start out with a brown discharge. But the that discharge is still here. When I wipe after going to bathroom sometimes the discharge is light on toilet tissue and sometimes I will get very light blood. I still have this discharge and I know if it was to be my period it should be over by now. Could I be pregnant. I took a pregnancy test last Monday and it came back negative but I don't have no signs of being pregnant either.
on the 5th i had major craps which i normally never get and i got a blood clot and brown discharge all very little and nothing, couple hours a little pink next day some brown and red with a blood clot then gone. and all cramping was gone. I never get blood clots and never went without a period for a month. Then I thought nothings of it and realized i have zero discharge now which has never happened. Id be surprised if i was pregnant does it sound like a possiblity?
today i got light pink/brown discharge, and a couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and i had sexual intercourse with a condom, but i didn't know that the condom broke until the next day when a piece of it came out in discharge. i was a few hours late on my birthcontrol that day and it was taken about ten minutes before intercourse. my period is due in six days also.
I have not had discharge for 3 weeks in a row. There is no pain, but everytime I go to the bathroom, there is a brown discharge. Today there was no blood spots. But I don't know whats wrong with me. I also noticed a small bump on the inside of my "lips". I do not know the correct terminology for that term. There is still no odor, but clear/brownish discharge. Is this another side effect from the ring or what? Also i don't know where the bump came from.
I have been on the nuva ring for about 5 months now and I am suppose to take it out on Sunday (4 days away). I have already started to have some brown discharge and it is only Wednesday. Normally I will start my period the Wednesday after I take my ring out. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It just makes me nervous.
A couple days after that I started having brown discharge/light period and it wasn't my time to have my period since I get it during the placebo pills at the end of my pack. So could I be pregnant? All I've had is cramping and bloating when I had the brown period/discharge.
I recently missed my period, by 4 days, then got light spotting which was a normal blood color. But it didnt stop, and turned into a dark dark brown discharge color, and is sticky. I have been having this discharge for over a week and a half. Thought i was pregnant through all of this, took a test said negative, was it too early? could i be? I am on the pill, but i have missed some and have not been faithful to it at the same time every day. If condom was not used, the withdraw method is used.
So then, I had cranps and pinkish discharge on 4/1, followed by 2 days of very light brown spotting, which may have been implantation bleeding but not sure. On 4/3, I took a blood test and my HCG levels were only 2 (negative I assume). On 4/4, I started to bleed.
In all probability the brownish discharge is due to hormonal imbalance caused by not putting in the nuvaring. You can also expect a delayed or early period. If the periods get delayed, then take a pregnancy test before putting in the ring. Please also discuss with your doctor. Take care!
