nuvaring and spotting

Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. At 8 dpo I started spotting and have been spotting brown and red ever since.

No docs Ive talked to since have heard of this being used for anything other than birth control my but tubs have been tied for years.After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.Also I had very painful cramps only on left side.

Was it a blood clot? Could it have been blocking my cervix and causing my last period to be spotting for the 3 weeks?

But it was fine for 4 months and the last 3 periods were only spotting and for 2 days. It just stopped by its self. I think I'll test again at eh next "period" and see.

I was on the nuva ring for 3+ years, and the first month and a half i had irregular spotting because my ob/gyn said I was adjusting to the hormones. After that I only got my period during the time my nuva ring was out and usually not the entire week but just 3-5 days. How long have you been on the nuva ring?

Please let me know if you can answer my NuvaRing question! On April 2 I found out I miscarried -- 2nd trimester loss, so I had to have a D&C. I had the D&C five days later. Two weeks following the D&C, I had my follow-up appointment with an RN (my OB had been called into a delivery, of course). She suggested I get on birth control for a while, since we decided not to try to conceive again soon, so she recommended the NuvaRing.

Hi Ladies... I have been on the NuvaRing for a long time. While I had the NuvaRing in I started spotting & then the spotting turned into a regular period. I know your period isn't supposed to come on until you take the NuvaRing out, but I also know you can experience some bleeding while on birth control. Nevertheless I made a doctor's appointment & found out I was pregnant.

I am using the nuvaring and have been since July. I took antibiotics about 6 weeks ago for a cough. I was suppose to start my period on Jan 9th. I started on the 4th but it was only spotting that day then nothing since. I've been having alot of pregnancy symptoms and need some advice. Has this happened to anyone else?

m 25) and before birth control, my periods came like clockwork every 28 days and had a heavier flow for 6 days (super tampons on the first few days, then regular the last few). A month ago, I decided to start NuvaRing to put mine, and my boyfriend's, minds at ease. This past Sunday I took the ring out to start my free-week, but as of today (Saturday), my period still hasn't started.

I was on the pill and took it at the same time everyday and went to the doctors about having a really bad headache and needing a wee a lot and test for a uti but found I was pregnant instead was very unexpected and have got my first scan next week

My partner and I, same one, again had unprotected sex on the 27th Nov 2011 while nuvaring was NOT in place since i took it out on 25 Nov 2011. After the encounter, i peed like i normally do. Literally within the hour i began to feel a light cramping in my lower abdomen (i can point to it better then i can explain it im sorry) but it was predominately on my lower left side moving to the right and sort of down on occasion.

I've been on Nuvaring for 5-6 months now and I've skipped my period for 2 months now but I keep on spotting so I want to have a ring free week where i'll have my period, now that I want to have my period, will I still be protected from pregnancy for my ring free week even though I've been using the nuvaring continuiously to skip my period?

I always have unprotected sex because I was on the ring but last week I began to feel nauseous and extremely drowsy! I have also bled during intercourse and I have now been expecting my period but I haven't got it.. I took 2 pg tests both negative.. & this morning I was bleeding when I wiped.. The blood was dark brown & thick.. & also had a mucusy substance.. I have pain in my lower stomach.. Could I be pregnant still?

About five days before I was supposed to remove my nuvaring, I was spotting light brown discharge and now that I have removed it at its right time, I seem to be having my period mixed with the brown discharge on top of a decent amount of clotting. Should I be concerned?

so this time when i got my spotting its been constant for about a full month! what is this and what should i do about it?

i was on the nuvaring but put it in a day late and took it out last tuesday on may 5th and usually get my period on the friday following. Friday came and went, saturday came and went and DH and i DTD on Sunday i had very slight spotting like twice when i went to the bathroom i wiped and that was it. Took a digital pregnancy test on tuesday and wednesday and said not pregnant and then went for a beta test and they told me negative!

I took the pill Sunday and Monday. However Monday night I had unprotected sex and he came inside of me. This was the day after my 3 week period ended. My questions are A. Because of my long period when would I have been ovulating? And B. Am I pregnant? C. do i have to be ovulating to get pregnant I have no signs or anything but I do know it's early and because of the new birth control I really don't know when I will start my period or if it will be my actual period or spotting..

Im spotting now, had bad cramps for about an hour, they are better now. Not sure if it will come or continue spotting like last time.

I was diagnosed with HPV at least 5 years ago and occasionally have abnormal pap smears but for the most part have no pain or issues with it and have been with the same partner for 3.5 years. For a while, I was taking my NuvaRing in and out before and after sex to avoid bleeding but when the problem didn't go away, the doctor recommended leaving it in because the constant removal of the ring may have been causing even more irritation to my cervix.

I had my last period from Monday april 15-Saturday morning april 20th. I started birth control that following Sunday, april 21st. I took the birth control for 4 days and then stopoed because I kept forgetting to take them. My boyfriend and I had sex two or three times since my last period. It is now april 29th and I've been spotting and cramping the past two days. And have had minor headaches. Fatigue and increase of appetite.

I used Nuvaring for one month and it made me miss my period that month. I started spotting on day 26 and started having severe cramps. I inserted the new ring on day 28 and got to where the cramps were unbearable and I was bleeding more. I removed the ring and started flowing heavy so I tried to insert a tampon but it wouldn't go in. Never had that problem before while flowing heavy like I was.

Im using nuvaring. That past 4 months I have had spotting only. Im definatly not pregnant as Ive have 2 negative tests and I would be showing my now. The doctor said, stress, (even if you dont feel stressed) or diet and exercise change could be to blame.
