Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.

I tried a few other doctors and none of them were any help either. They all just said the migraines and weight gain and missing periods were normal and that I should just lose weight. After the three months on the NuvaRing, my period returned naturally, but it was irregular for a a couple of years. Since January, I hadn't had a real period. I've had spotting that was sort of sticky and brown--not the right color at all--but not a real period.

It sounds to me like your hormones are going abit haywire, you could try maca as for women it helps regulate your hormones, you can buy it in powder form or capsuals and I would take 1/2 the daily reccomended dose to start with and see how that goes

Hi All, just wondering if anyone has any experience with contraception that suited them and they have PCOS and Endometriosis. Im currently trying to get pregnant so i am wanting to think about my options for after i have my last child. Im not currently pregnant but just trying to gain as much info as possible. So i have been on the following pills: Levlen, loette, diane, yazmin, estelle and the mini pill. For each of them they haven't worked one way or an other.

in my case their was nothing wrong with my ovaries but I did have insulin resistance which caused me very bad acne, no period at all, alittle facial hair, and definitely darking folds around my neck and arms.My OB/GYN put me on metformin and birth control. A year later I've lost 61 pounds because of it..i feel amazing. It was slow in the beginning because of the side effects from the metformin ex. stomach bloat, gas, diarrhea, and ingestion.

alright... so to make a long story short, i have pcos, and very irregular periods. My doctor put me on the nuva ring, to try and help me get some what normal so we could try for baby # 2. Well, I put my nuva ring in on june 13, and we bd'ed practically every other day all month. I was having some preg symptoms, on and off. I took my nuva ring out on july 4, and started what i think is my af last night.

I think a rapid strep test only tests for streptococcus. Ask your doctor to be sure.

and i have pcos and my last period was on the 16 of Nov. and on 9 the Nov. i took out my nuvaring and me and my husben have been trying,now its the third of Dec. and my nipples hurt and i feel like im a lttle bloated and and ive been peeing ALOT and slight cramps not much.my nipples arent as bad of hurting but they do hurt to touch and itchy sometimes and vaginal secretions (clear).. very itchy if you what i mean..i dont what to think i need help!

s mine told me she was capable of treating pcos, i wasted five months with her and never had a single ultrasound and i had to beg for bloodwork. I think that's all i have for now, if you need anyone to talk to i'm here. on the positive side my friend also has pcos, she took two cycles of clomid and is now 9 months preggo! There is always hope!

YES! It can cause diabetes! It is listed as glucose intolerance in the side effects. I went though 8 months of #@!& on nuvaring. I went to the doc because I wad exhausted all of the time, fuzzy brained, and starting to loose my hair. When I asked if it could be the birth control, my question was dismissed. They tried to put me on all of this medication for slightly elevated blood sugar. I refused. I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne.

Ok, so I've been on the nuvaring for a good while now to help regulate my cycle. Everything was going good. I was starting to see my cycle every month for 5-7 up until now. My spouse and I use condoms, but had one break on us about three and a half weeks ago. As it stands I am two weeks late. I took a hpt and it came back negative. So my question is what could be going on??

All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. I'm on nuvaring too and I'm usually way more than 3 days late. I'll take the ring out on Sunday and then won't get my period until Friday. I know how you feel, though. I get totally freaked out when my period is late too. But the reply before yours, peekawho, is right. Wait a week and test again.

We have been trying 4 months and I had a chemical pregnancy. I had been off and on nuvaring for 5 years. Using opk this time. has your husband had a sperm analysis?

I am also allergic to latex and tried the NuvaRing and had quite a severe latex allergic reaction to it. I ripped my Gyno a new one after that happened. I understand that it's technically latex-free, but it contains the same main ingredient as latex (which is what caused the reaction) and I feel that needs to be mentioned on the box at least.

I had sex fathers day and the 29th and the condom broke but i hav the nuva ring and i got my period but its lasts 3-4 days well i put nuvaring back in on july 5th then had unprotected sex (pull out) on the 7th of july i feel different always hungry n and expect period in a wk wen can i test or how do i kno for sure if test is negative could it be from nuvaring because with my 2yo i had missed period n tested negative

Hello, Insert NuvaRing in the vagina and keep it in place for three weeks in a row. Remove it for a one-week break and then insert a new ring. I was still on the pill, I missed one day due to busy schedules and a rambunctious toddler, and that one day fell on my ovulation day and boom! Baby number 2 will be here basically any day now!

3 months ago I switched to Nuvaring from the pill. Hubby and I were going to wait until the spring to start ttc. My dr said I could leave my ring in for 4 weeks to avoid my period so technically I haven't had my period since October 9. I have exactly 1 week until I can either take it out for my period or leave it in to avoid it. I have been bloated and hungry all the time. Yesterday I was exhausted after shopping for 2 hours and napped when I woke up I was so nauseous.
