The cramps could be because of the Nuvaring. Remember that you're putting a foreign object in to your body so your body could react to that by cramping. Since it's so close to your period the cramps might be because you're getting ready to start. I recommend you see your gynecologist to tell him/her what happened. They might want to do a blood test to see if you're pregnant. Blood tests can detect very early pregnancies.

I then felt my cervix which felt like another fleshy bit was coming out of it, so with thumb and forefinger in me I grabbed the tissue and attached to it was a dark purple grape sized and shaped mass. Very light cramps, all neg preg tests. Are these just endometrial tissue,? the mass wasn't wet and slimy but solid feeling... Was it a blood clot? Could it have been blocking my cervix and causing my last period to be spotting for the 3 weeks?

I am now on day 3 of no nuvaring and I am cramping bleeding large blood clots and I cant find any info about what to expect after the removal and stopping the use of nuvaring

The cramps have continued, mainly bowel cramps and nausea. I saw a doctor and they said it was probably either IBS or side effects from the Nuvaring. I have been taking omeprazole, hopefully it will help.

I've had absolutely horrible menstrual cramps for the past several years, to the point that my doctor prescribed percocet for me to take for every period (I can't take NSAIDs like Aleve, Motrin, etc.). I got a Mirena IUD to see if that would help (it didn't, but I still have the IUD) and have been using Nuvaring for almost two months.

I am currently on the NuvaRing and I have been having trouble inserting it and having it stay in. I have been on it for about 5 years now and I am recently having trouble with it. I feel like I can't push it all the way in. It is supposed to stay inside with your vagina muscles, but I find myself always having to push it back in. I have a history of ovarian cysts, that is why i was put on NuvaRing.

Hi Lisa, OK have just done a little reaserch, and yes Nuvaring could be the reason for your ongoing cramps or cramping, if you google Nuvaring bad cramping 2 years, you will find your not the only one, and if you go down somebody is doing a survey on Nuvaring, so you can add to it if you fill that way. I then have had sex 3 more times since then. My period is due in 2 days and I have been experiencing cramps for about 4-5 days now. yesterday afternoon I peed 4 times in 6 hours. I am having 3 BM's a day( very unlike me) I have had a constant runny nose. Hormonal birth control is elm known to cause changes in the appearance, consistency and timing of a woman's period. Therefore, you don't need to worry about it. There's nothing unusual about it.

Ok Im on the Nuvaring and have been for a long time now however I bleed real bad still ( ill bleed for at least 2 weeks straight if not more) and I have Endometriosis so with all this bleeding doesnt it make Endo worse?

YES! It can cause diabetes! It is listed as glucose intolerance in the side effects. I went though 8 months of #@!& on nuvaring. I went to the doc because I wad exhausted all of the time, fuzzy brained, and starting to loose my hair. When I asked if it could be the birth control, my question was dismissed. They tried to put me on all of this medication for slightly elevated blood sugar. I refused. I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne.

Have any of you gotten pregnant the first month on Nuvaring? Or has it ever made you THINK you're pregnant because of its side effects? It was weird because it was brown at first . But the next day it was bright red and heavy and has been that way since . It is the fourth day since it came back on and still cramping , still heavy and seems like clots coming out . What's wrong with me ? Could it be a miscarriage ? All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). I had a miscarriage and for a month after, I had severe cramps. Then one day, I was going pee and felt this weird sensation and heard a big plop. I am also allergic to latex and tried the NuvaRing and had quite a severe latex allergic reaction to it. I ripped my Gyno a new one after that happened. I understand that it's technically latex-free, but it contains the same main ingredient as latex (which is what caused the reaction) and I feel that needs to be mentioned on the box at least.

I had sex fathers day and the 29th and the condom broke but i hav the nuva ring and i got my period but its lasts 3-4 days well i put nuvaring back in on july 5th then had unprotected sex (pull out) on the 7th of july i feel different always hungry n and expect period in a wk wen can i test or how do i kno for sure if test is negative could it be from nuvaring because with my 2yo i had missed period n tested negative

I like the nuvaring. Didn't like the depo shot gained about In water weight took me over 18 months to loose.
