481379 tn?1208372347 why haven't I received an answer? I want a doctor's opinion of an acidic vs alkaline body. I have been reading about this and there are many people pro alkaline and few pro acidic. I'd like a doctor's or nutritionist's opinion of this.
Avatar f tn Any software updates of my main computer (Macbook Pro 2015 - which was previously harmless for my eyes) started to causes the same problem as monitors. I’ve also realized when I’m downgrade the system software of MacBook Pro 2015 to the older one the problem completely disappear. The same thing was with my iPhone 6s and Playstation 4. Problem also appears on some of really old computers.
Avatar m tn I know how your feel, pro. Those are the same reasons I've stopped using the site much. It's just not personal anymore. It takes too long to find things and the comment space on the posts themselves just aren't as readable coz the text is so compressed. There's a reason books don't get printed in a 3" width format. It's not easy on the eye. Anyway, I doubt things will go back to how they used to be. Keep me informed of your move.
Avatar m tn Cut out dairy and wheat; they tend to be pro-inflammatory, which allows more bad guys to stick in your system. A good multivitamin to guarantee you're getting at least some of what you need every day. For a more thorough approach, see a naturopath or holistic nutritionist. Good luck.
9197104 tn?1402287751 then you took antibiotics for an infection....antibiotics can cause more of a reflux issue....ask ur Drs about taking pro biotics...to replace the good bacteria and give ur digestive track the natural balance it needs to digest food properly. I hope u feel better soon.
Avatar n tn 1 and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on Feb. 5th. I have an ultra touch 2 monitor for her. I did notice that they have a software for it in which I can download and monitor her levels, etc. I also have noticed that there is a diabetes pilot software in which I can get for my desktop and pda. I like the fact that the diabetes pilot has a list of foods (carbs, etc.) that you can enter for reference and can be used on my pda.
Avatar m tn New doctor shortly plus a trip to a nephrologist should help. Patients need to be pro-active because a lot of docs aren't! Thanks again!
Avatar n tn Try avoiding nightshades -- it helps a certain percentage of people with RA. And there are many anti-inflammatory substances out there, such as boswellia and devil's claw which have been shown to be particularly helpful for RA. This is a complicated question, however. One of the best things to do is avoid that which is pro-inflammatory, such as white flours, wheat, sugar, and bad fats.
Avatar n tn I also have these symptoms. Usually for months at a time and then it goes away. I've taken pro & pre biotics, psyllium husks, candida tablets, anything I can think of and nothing seems to help. I have an idea its something in my diet, though I went to a nutritionist and she said it wasn't. I'm completely flummoxed and in agony with the pain and itching. Please help...
751951 tn?1406632863 I picked up a disc with some CT scans and ultrasound images today, and noticed that the autorun software included was called "eFilm Lite", by Merge Software, (IIRC). . It was the same program, though a slightly different version, that was on the disc I received from the MRI center about 3 weeks ago (Version 2.0.0 vs. 2.1.1). That one wouldn't run on either of my home computers; I've yet to try the one I received today.
Avatar n tn Oh well, the advantage to all this is when the software finally wears out, you can happily get sloppy with your own typing and continue to blame the software. Or … it raises the question of whether you actually have software, and you’ve been bluffing the whole time :o)!
Avatar m tn t have much to compare this software two. But my guess is that there is a big difference between the better software and what comes free with some operating systems. The exception being the voice recognition software built into Vista. Supposedly, that's quite excellent. That said, there is a learning curve. The dictation part is pretty easy. Harder, is learning the commands, such as going back to insert or delete a word, or moving around the webpage.
Avatar f tn 5T machines are gaining on the 3T by virtue of better software. If the center is keeping up with the new technology, you may be losing little or nothing at all by get imaged on a 1.5T. Don't lose any sleep over it. I'm trying to decrease the emphasis (that I created) over worrying whether we get MRIs on a 3T machine.
Avatar f tn Phil, we have also discussed how sophisticated software can raise the resolution of a machine, say a 1.5T, to surpass the resolution of a 3T with mediocre software. I have never felt that the public could be in any position to evaluate the level of software used. So, I have some questions for you. The first, is do you agree that the quality of the software does play a role? and What is the range of cost for really up-to-date software?
Avatar n tn Use the search feature and archives to locate the discussions, you can also scan to question topics for the last couple of weeks. One poster Software Developer has writtten extensive on his/her experience with the Symphony lens. The short summary is the extra technology is not absolutely necessary and because there are more procedures and steps may actually increase the complication rate.
220282 tn?1214318819 500 ml of milk a day doesn't sounds so little to me, but I'm not expert to evaluate this. From what you've written, it seems, like he's receiving a normal food, so this is not dangerous for liver. This is highly specialistic question what you've asked. If you think, you can't get answers from your current specialist, you might want to contact an educated nutritionist - I'm talking about orthodox one. But you should try with your current doctor first.
Avatar m tn What you want with your problems is an anti-inflammatory diet, meaning avoiding pro-inflammatory foods. Dairy is the worst, but different individuals have different ones. There are also supplements you can take that can at least make the allergies bother you a little less. Allergies are basically an autoimmune disorder, because your body is having an immune reaction to things that aren't actually harmful to it.
1143283 tn?1408903305 thank you,and I did forget to ask a question, but you answer it,thank you,I guess this scares me,I am walking and have made appointment with a nutritionist, and thinking of changing to being a vegg eater and give up meat, which I only eat meat as of before 2-3 times a week, when I had my thyroid check and was told I am hypo, could that have any thing to do with my high triglycerides?
Avatar f tn The facility I have had 2 MRIs done uses a Toshiba MRI and was today told they use "EMPOWER" software. Have read that 'good' software with a 1.5 T is as good as, or better than a 3T with poor software. Wondering if anyone knows about the quality of Toshiba and Empower? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn KeeLolo, MedHelp's software automatically deletes some words, people don't write stars, when you see them it is because the software did it. And if it did it, that is because it is a word sometimes used in salacious Internet writing, presumably this word was c u m, which the software is deleting because of its use in porno sites. Any time you see the stars, assume it's something like that and you should be able to read what the original poster was writing pretty well.
867582 tn?1311627397 It depends COMPLETELY on who has most recently spent the millions of $$ to uprgrade the machine AND the software. I had quite a discussion with my neuro about this. The software that is used to analyze the images is of critical importance. He stated that with poor software a 3T machine can be worse in resolution than a 1.5T with really great software. There are hospitals with dynamite MRIs and fly-by-night stand alone centers with old crappy machines.
