Avatar n tn Any advice would be helpful. I list my allergies for you. Herbs and spices, Pesticides and fertizers, Fish. I also suffer from Irritable Bowel. I take Co-Dydramol for the pain and I don't sleep very well. I drink only tea, no booze but I do smoke 20 a day + 12.5 grammes of baccy.
Avatar n tn You can do a "google" to come up with a list of foods to be avoided. This list includes soy, raw cabbage, broccoli, strawberries, grapefruit and some others......I make a point to avoid soy -- the others, I only consume hours after I've taken my thyroid med and pretty well figure it's been absorbed............ Make sure you wait at least 4 hours between thyroid med and vitamins/minerals......
Avatar m tn Perhaps nutritional drinks can temporarily help you maintain your weight until you figure out what's causing this. Also, I would make an appointment with a nutritionist in order to find a way to get proper nutrition in spite of the lack of appetite. Also, your primary care doctor may be able to help. Here is a list of nutritional shakes: *http://ensure.com/ *http://www.boost.com/ *http://www.nestlenutritionstore.
Avatar m tn It seems to me, that if you want to control/modify a meal you have inserted in your list, this appears with no order, or with one I don't understand; so, if you have inserted a lot of meals, it is a little difficult to find the meal you want to control to: I think it could be useful, if possible, to have it alphabetically ordered, as it appears when you choose one of your meals, to insert it in your diary. ... ...
Avatar f tn Just saying, a nutritionist isn't likely to be very helpful if the problem is your child won't eat anything but what she wants to -- a nutritionist can tell you what's best to eat but not what your child will tolerate going in her mouth.
Avatar f tn Hi, welcome to the forum, the patients who are allergic to yeasts should stay away from the yeast containing foods. You can get the list of the yeast containing foods from the net. Examples of yeast containing foods are Bakery products like Cookies, cake items, pastries and sweet rolls, pretzels, rolls and breads. Beer and Alcoholic Beverages, Vinegar or natural root beer, soy sauce, olives, sauerkraut and apple cider. Cranberries doesn't contain yeasts. Hence, it can be safely taken.
Avatar f tn There are too many to list, and they differ depending on whether you're hyper or hypo. Best not to play with this and see a doctor or holistitic nutritionist and find out.
Avatar f tn I have a friend who changed to vegetarian during her last pregnancy and got plenty of protein and everything. Talk to a nutritionist, take supplements, read books, there might also be good websites to help you plan your meals to get the right amount of vitamins and minerals and protein.
Avatar f tn What list are you talking about? Can't imagine any diet that would recommend anything at McDonalds, as nothing there is healthy or easily digested no matter what the amount of calories are. Digestibility is as or more important than calories, and health is above all other issues.
Avatar f tn My Mom (68 years old very healthy otherwise) has been diagnosed with carcinosarcoma stage 3C ovarian cancer. I'm trying to find information on nutrition. She is undergoing chemo every three weeks taxol/carbo. I'm getting so much conflicting information on nutrition. I've been told she should have soy milk instead of cow's milk and another nutritionist said no soy milk and no rice milk! Milk is just one food that we are getting mixed info about.
Avatar n tn ok folks, i am into the last 10 weeks of a one year treatment, for hep c geno 1.... peglntron/rybotol. i also have m.s. but have stopped daily injections of copaxone. ok, it is no picnic by any means, but does anyone have experience with increased mental wrestling matches towards the end of treatment?? seems to be increasing in intolerability to sound, lights and ''humanoid'' contact. it is the ''don't go away mad, just go away'' philosophy.
Avatar f tn http://www.psycheducation.org/depression/meds/moodstabilizers.htm Weight reduction can be helped by an appropriate diet. You could discuss that with your doctor. If there are further concerns they could refer you to a nutritionist. If the current medication you are on is causing weight gain you could discuss this with your psychiatrist and they could adjust and/or change your medication as appropriate.
Avatar f tn Calories have little to do with weight -- it's how you digest and metabolize what you're eating that determines weight gain from food. You could list your diet here, but you'd do better to see a holistic nutritionist to evaluate what you're eating in a more sophisticated way than mere calorie intake.
212753 tn?1275073111 So sorry you now have this to the list .. you know we are here for you my friend. Have a good vacation and be certain to ck. back here ok .. promise?
Avatar f tn I would strongly urge you to see an allergist to see if you can be helped. A nutritionist might also be helpful to make sure that you are getting all the nutrients that you need. Praying for you.
Avatar f tn Ugh, sorry dude. That stinks. I assume you have asked your doctor about this? Here's a whole list of possibilities small cyst called a spermatocele near your testes, bacterial infection of the prostate (could be only symptom of that), enlarged prostate, kidney stone, if you take meds like antidepressants or muscle relaxers, or a nerve issue. Definitely see your doctor to see if any of these are involved.
692001 tn?1236562462 It turned out that I have a laundry list of food sensitivities. Here are the ones that bother my gastro issues the most (some of them might be the same for you): Dairy (lactose), gluten (especially wheat), corn (closely tied to gluten and lactose intolerance), and the entire nightshade family. Also, no foods with any form of sugar (natural or otherwise), which includes all fruits 'til you determine which ones bother you the most--citrus is the worst culprit for me.
Avatar f tn My husband and I just started going to the gym again after years and years of not exercising and not eating healthy. His main goal is to gain muscle(but not too much) and gain weight(because he is normally very thin). My main goal is to loose alot of weight(50-65lbs) and gain muscle. He wants to start using whey and other types of supplements, but we dont know where to start or what to buy. I figure that we might both need different things, since I want to loose weight and he wants to gain.

Avatar m tn The only drawback is your doctor must order it. They have a list of doctors they work with on their website as traditional doctors won't help until you’re almost dead and then you’re lucky if they do. Google DiagnosTechs for more info. Klonopin is nasty stuff, but don't look back try to fix what you have in front of you. It may take an alternative dr too. I'd put away the Dr. James Wilson book and read "The Safe Uses of Cortisol" by William Jefferies.
Avatar f tn My doctor hasnt been of any assistance. Despite repeated visits with the same problem,my doctor describes it as gastroenteritis and sends me on my way. I have used probiotics in the past and take natural yoghurt daily. I took a lot of antibiotics for acne in my teens and early 20s and was also prescribed the pill for my acne and was on it for a long time. I imagine these have all contributed to my problems today.
Avatar f tn m on a low dose of glyburide at bedtime and just making sure I eat the right amount of carbs at the right times. Are you going to see a nutritionist or a maternal fetal medicine specialist? Seeing the nutritionist helped me a lot.
